^ yun din naisip ko para masulit.  aircon din naman ang church at reception.  sayang din kasi ang mahal pa naman ng outfit ni baby at once lang masuot. LOL

kadalasan ba, iba ang outfit for reception ni baby sa baptismal outfit?

My kids changed outfits when they were baptized, plain white kasi required sa edsa shrine..so my son had the nurse uniform sa church then changed into a marine deck officer uniform sa reception..my youngest, white gown then terno dress kami at the reception..

do i have to give out souvenirs at the reception of my baby's baptismal? i plan not to give out anything since these souvenirs end up gathering dust.

^ayaw ko din ng souvenirs/ giveaways na for display only that's why we had personalized fan & ref magnets. pwede din for souvenirs yung pictures from photo booth.

^^thanks sis. i'm not sure if i have enough time for the personalized items as souvenirs for the guests because baby's baptism will be by the end of the month.

Re outfit, aircon din sa church and solo/special baptism kami. Same church where my son was baptized 2 yrs ago. Pero changed outfit sya nun and for my daughter this month ganun din. Both her baptismal dress and reception dress is from mothercare naman kaya parehong maganda sakin. Tagal kong pinili yun. So i really like na masuot nya pareho.

Re giveaways naman, ayoko din ng pang keepsake kasi honestly di ko alam saan ko ilalagay. Pag may narereceive ako binibigay ko na lang sa mga househelp namin kaysa itapon. The last item i received from a party were mugs. 5 pcs yun with the picture & name of the celebrant. Yung isa naman keychain na may name din.

Nakakatuwa lang tignan pag baby natin yung nakaprint pero practicality-wise, i stay away from those.

Sa son ko nun, giveaway namin customized cupcakes from sugarbox then for my daughter's binyag naman estrel's cupcakes.

^wow sis.. sunday na pala binyag ni ayesha mo! naku I'm sure excited ka na hehe.. ako nga din sobra excited kaso tagal pa, almost 1 month pa, pero tuwa naman ako wala kami gastos cake & cupcakes lang at photog haha.. nag-alala ako sa cupcakes ko, sa ikos kasi ako umorder eh, andami bad feedbacks sa kanila ngayon sa bday cake thread, saan ang reception nyo?

if you have a choice, if it's not required by the church to wear white, would you still choose to buy white outfit for baby?  kasi may iba na nag change outfits pero di naman white ang for the baptism ceremony.

This is my personal opinion lang ha, so mommies please dont crucify me. Those personalized items look like campaign paraphernalia to me. Or corporate/marketing giveaways.... But ok sya for close family members -  like for grandparents, titas that you are very close to... But for the "general" bisita, i wouldnt do it.

for mommies who are on a tight budget and wants to celebrate their child's baptism with fun and hassle free. here's my suggestion....

we celebrated my son's baptism  on sept 9, 2012 at malate church and we had our reception just across the church shakey's malate due to our tight budget, and also, my hubby & I loves to eat at shakey's.
my expenses:
food (20T for 80-90pax) a monster meal good for 10-12 pax costs only 2T plus. served in a buffet style
souvenirs 3.5T (photobooth), add'l : i made an audio cd (40pcs) for the ninongs/ninangs and relatives, I downloaded some songs from the internet and printed cd labels. this costs around less than 20pesos each (CD's, labels, CD case).
invites: i made it personally. i bought a photopaper from cdr king. printed some pictures & i attached a mickey mouse characters and some texts for the details of the baptism.
outfit: 700-800 SM dept i didn't spend too much on his outfit since it will only be used once.

hi sis, walang kasama rice yun. 1 monster meals consists of 2 family size pizza, 12pcs chix, mojos, spaghetti, carbonara and softdrinks. may option ka naman dagdagan eh. isang sched lang yung binyag sa malate church pag sunday. 11-12nn. mickey mouse ang theme ko.

reception-shakeys sana malapit lang din sa church pero nung nag inquire na ko super liit ng space and meron kaming kapit bahay dun sya nagpakain nung binyag ng baby nya 40 pax hindi daw nakapasok ibang bisita kasi masikip na,what more pa ko na 50-60 pax ang estimate.


invitations-gusto ko ng baby bottle na invitation,so nag search ako ng template sa net at may nakita ako,pero yung gusto ko namang wordings hindi kakasya,ayoko namang gawing super laki ng invites.


kaya eto hays back to zero,kalungkot lang [size=78%]..[/size]panibago na namang pag hahanap,may nag suggest sa akin st.francis church sa shaw ang problem ko naman malapit na venue or kahit restaurant na lang,hope may ma suggest kayo mga sis,naloloka na ko sa pag plan,goodluck din sa mga plans nyo
