Antique Province (Island of Panay)

^Ang alam ko lang yung Nogas Island, sis. Nadiscover ko lang yung Seco saka Malalison dahil sa blogs tapos last time yung college friend ko nagbakasyon sa Antique. Talo pa niya ako.  White sand daw sa Pandan. Maganda yung sa tapat ng Phaidon.

Nung umuwi kami nung May sa Valderrama and San Jose lang kami nakaikot. Napuntahan ko na yung town mo, Hamtic dati.

Antique is one of the most underrated provinces in the Philippines. Went there last year and had a great time!

Tibiao was the most activity-packed town: lambaklad fishing, photo ops at the hanging bridge, river kayaking, Zorbing on a ramp into the river, conquering 3 of the 7 tiers of Bugtong Bato falls, falling asleep while dipped in the kawa hot bath, and ending the day with a fish spa!

We also went to Malalison Island in Culasi, where we did a bit of trekking for a scenic view (it was tempting to sing "The hills are aliiiive..." - almost like a smaller Mt. Pulag, but instead of a sea of clouds below, it's actually the sea) then cooled off by swimming in the clear waters by the white sandbar.

In the town of Pandan we trekked to the head spring of Malumpati, went for a refreshing dip at the cold spring, then rode a small paddle boat from the river out into the sea. It was so cool!!! Well, actually, it was scorching hot then, but you get my drift.

^my mother's family is from culasi (a relative even owns one of the hotels there). sadly I only visited twice and never na-include sa itinerary namin going to malalison. our short visits (as stopover lang before going to boracay) are usually packed with get-togethers. may in the future we'll get to see this

Mga sis. I have a ticket to Ilo-ilo. For Gigantes sana but naisip ko pwede rin naman sa Antique na lang. Will stay for 5 days sa december. Kasya naman siguro yung mag-activities sa tibiao, visit to seco island and island hopping to malalison ano? Meron ba sa inyo may itinerary? Pahingi naman kahit rough draft lang.

We will be going here this February. Any suggestion on how we could DIY Seco Island? May contacts ba kayo? TIA.

How was your trip? My friends went to Malalison last summer. They went first to Islas de Gigantes in Iloilo then Roxas City before they went to Culasi. Hindi na sila nakapunta sa Tibiao. Nagstay sila for 2 days sa Malalison.

I want to go to Caluya Island. May info ba kayo? Ang hirap maghanap ng itinerary or info on where to get there dahil hindi pa ganun kasikat yung place.

Finally medyo nakaikot na ako sa province na ito!  Although hindi pa rin puntahin, still this place has a lot to offer.

Malalison is nice, though ayoko talaga yun coral area. Normal kasing may sea urchins. But malinis ang place. And, the trek is nice. Ang ganda ng view. Unbelievable yun colors na makikita mo when you take pics.

Malumpati Spring has to be developed, though na-enjoy ko yun lamig ng tubig. May ilang foreigners akong nakita rito.

Ang dami naman pwedeng gawin sa Tibiao. Of course, we tried yun kawa hotbath. Nakakantok sya, esp if you do it after your trek dun sa falls na andun. We trekked until sa 3rd tier ng Bugtong-Bato falls.

Babalik ako for Seco Island. Kinulang sa oras talaga.

Hello mga sis!

I'm based in Iloilo and I'm happy na many are going to Antique na. I first went there in 2013 - Tibiao and Malalison ( pronounced as Mararison) - wala pa talagang turista. I went back last Holy Week with my kids and parents.  A lot has changed
