Share ko lang kadayawan weekend experience ko…chinallenge ko sarili ko na ang expenses ko dapat php2,000.00 ONLY but exclusive of pasalubong (since 3rd time ko na sa davao and overnight lang dapat sumakto hehe)
August 20 – Saturday
-Paid Php200 for the Terminal fee
-ETD 1:55pm via Air Phil, hindi puno yung plane madaming vacant seats
-Arrived @ 3:30pm umuulan nung dumating kami
-Paid php180 from airport to CM Recto where Royale House is located (traffic sobra took us almost 40minutes to reach the hotel)
-We reserved a triple standard room in Royale House and paid Php1,150 for 3pax and additional php150 for the extra…pero sad kasi dalawa na lang kaming natuloy
-Surprised to see that their extra bed is not a mattress na nakalagay sa floor, bed talaga siya…tapos I thought hindi included ang breakfast kasama pala, sa website kasi its not stated na inclusive ang breakfast…
-after check in we went to jack’s ridge for dinner, taxi is php125…we ordered sweet & sour lapu-lapu and beef broccoli, grabe ang serving hindi lang good for 2-3 persons puwede pa 4-5 persons…we paid php780 dito palang alam ko mg-oover ako sa 2k challenge ko hehe…
-from jacks ridge went to davao convention center paid php120 sa taxi, akala ko mga products ng davao or Mindanao ang binebenta doon like sa baragatan ng Palawan kaya lang mga dress, shoes, cosmetics ang mga paninda
-from davao convention center punta naman kami sa people’s park kahit umuulan lakad parin kami, kasi 1st time ng friend ko sa davao mapuntahan man lang niya ang people’s park hehe…tapos punta kami sa palma street kasi meron din street bazaar kaya lang ganun din ang mga paninda katulad sa davao convention center…
-dahil na-frustrate kami we decided to go back na sa hotel wala naman kaming mapuntahan and nakakatamad din gumala pa kasi umuulan nga…
-naglakad lang kami from palma street to royale house sa cm recto
August 21 –Sunday
-woke up at 7:30am then breakfast then walked along the streets of cm recto papuntang aldevinco for the pamulak parade
-sobrang saya ng streets, madaming tao, tapos ang mga tao Masaya…tapos sa mga conversations nila ang naririnig ko si Coco Martin daw kasama sa parade…
-hindi pa ako nakapunta sa Panagbenga pero according to my friend mas maganda ang floats sa Panagbenga kaysa sa nakita naming Pamulak Float Parade
-1st time ko kasi makakita ng floral float parade kaya gandang ganda ako sa floats especially that I love flowers…merong bongga like coca-cola’s, bioderm’s and cebuana lhuiller’s
-Natatawa ako sa sarili ko kasi hindi ako mahilig sa mga artista, pero siguro na-carried away lang ako kasi then I saw bea Alonzo, enchong dee and coco martin napahiyaw din ako ahahaha…I didn’t know that bea is pretty and coco and enchong are both cutie hehe
-Nakakatawa ang mga tao, kapag may float na artista ang nakasakay sumusunod sila sa float, kaya ang ginawa naming ng friend ko sumasalungat kami kaya nakarating kami sa aldevinco and marco polo hotel…
-Dahil 11:30am na at since nasa aldevinco na kami we decided to buy something for ourself as a remembrance for the kadayawan and pasalubong na din…nakabili ako ng pearl choker and bracelet for php200, 400 ang original price and malong na worth 300 natawaran ko ng 250 lang…wala ako masabi sa haggling skills ko…
-Also bought pomelo beside aldevinco 9kilos for php440 inclusive of box na…
-From aldevinco we rode the electric motorcycle to people’s park for free ngpahatid kami sa penong’s…kaya lang box office ang penong’s kaya we transferred to banoks…to our disappointment sa sobrang dami siguro ng tao dahil nga kadayawan 30mins pa na-iserve ang order naming we paid php87 for a pecho and rice halos hindi ko nakain yung order ko…
-Rode a taxi to royale house again for check out…ngpa-extend kami up to 2pm and its for free kasi wala naman daw mg-occupy ng room naming..php80
-After check out we left our things muna sa hotel then went to abreeza mall…nung ngpunta ako sa davao last November starbucks talaga una kong hinanap, kaya im so happy na meron ng starbucks sa davao… (sis ayi walang city mug na davao, manila yung nka-display sa rack nila kaya hindi kita nabili) and as expected box office din ang starbucks sa davao…
-From abreeza rode a jeep back to the hotel, ng-visit din kami sa San Pedro Church…
-Saw former speaker Nograles sa Royale House and learned from Ms. Joy that his family owns it pala, amazing
-Kahit 9:05 pa ang flight namin, we already left the hotel around 5pm…we we’re expecting na mahaba ang pila sa check in counter…tama nga pgkadating namin sa airport graaaabe dami tao…a PAL’s flight was cancelled and airphil accommodated pal’s passengers…our supposed to be flight at 9:05pm was delayed to 10:30pm…[textspeak!] mga passengers ng PAL ang pinauna sa 9:05pm, nakakainis [textspeak!] mga passengers ng PAL 9:50 dapat ang flight sinwap nila haaayssst…
-Arrived at NAIA T3 around 12mn na, ibang araw na hindi na august 21 nakakainis…
Lessons learned from this trip : the more the merrier – tipid sa gastos and masarap tumawa pag madami hehe; kung aattend ng festival huwag bumalik sa manila on Sunday or last day of the festivities, madami for sure cancelled flights and delays and magulo sa airport…
