Misuse of Sensitive Member Data - Please Remediate

Hello FN Admin,

Please remove my profile from FHM and ALL forums under the banner of Femalenetwork, Summit Media, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, EXCEPT for GirlTalk.

I am extremely unhappy that a profile for me exists in FHM and seems to have been created for me without my knowledge nor permission.

I am not aware that personal information identifiable to me such as my birthdate and email address is out here in the world wide web for everyone's taking, courtesy of Summit Media, through FHM.

I have registered for GirlTalk several years ago and took great lengths in ensuring that the personal information I provided for registration is hidden to non-members of GirlTalk.

I have not been informed nor have given permission to Summit Media to use my personal information in ANY way, including creation of accounts and/or profiles on Summit Media and its subsidiaries and affiliates' websites, blogs, social networking places, and other representations on the World Wide Web.

I have not seen and thus have not agreed to any Terms of Use explicitly stating how my information will be used when I registered for membership at GirlTalk. The information I provided at the time of my registration for GirlTalk (which was several years ago) was intended ONLY for the purpose of having an identity within the GirlTalk community as a member of the GirlTalk forum under Femalenetwork.

ANY changes made on settings and/or sections on my GirlTalk identity profile brought upon by changes and/or enhancements (such as webSSO, etc) on your IT infrastructure should have been announced to the GirlTalk community and active steps were taken to gather acceptance/non-acceptance of these changes by members of the community.

It is disappointing to learn how CARELESS and NEGLIGENT Femalenetwork/Summit Media was (and currently IS) in handling personal information entrusted to them by their online community members. With the frightening risks the GirlTalk community now face due to exposure of its sensitive member data to unfriendly eyes prowling the Web, it is a MUST for Femalenetwork/Summit Media to remediate immediately, and/or at the soonest money from Summit Media advertisers would allow.
