Meron ba sa inyo na ang anak or pamangkin nag aaral dito? Ok ba curriculum nila? Nakita ko website nila at mukhang ok ang facilities, program, at meron sila mga social action program -- awareness sa environment, pag reach out, tree planting.

my son studies there. my husband went to grade school there. mukhang ok naman. it's not over traditional in terms of academics. pwede na. plus, it's not super exclusive as well, hence, hindi puro mayaman ang students. it's a good mix. so far so good naman experience namin dito.

What do you mean by not super exclusive? Yung mga subjects ba nila competitive sa mga schools like la salle, xavier, ateneo, OB montessori, Don Bosco? Ano pala ginagamit nila language sa loob ng school? pinapractice ba mga students to speak in english? Thank you sa feedback.

what i meant by di super exclusive ay di pang uber mayaman. it's a good mix of middle class students and families. this aspect may not be important for some but this is important to me and my husband. long story.

yes, competitive yung lessons, i have no complaints. i cannot compare it to progressive schools such as ob montesorri [textspeak!] di naman considered ang lsm na progressive school. but, they still accelerate or allow grde 6 students to skip grade 7 if the school deem the student is capable.

i forgot to add, yes, most students speak english or taglish inside and outside school. medium of instruction is english except during filipino.

my sons attend Lourdes School.

parang holistic ang approach - well balanced development ang nakikita ko.

by the way i-abolish na ang grade 7 nila sa grade school. Their Grade 7 will now be part of High School starting next year. 6 years na ang high school next year. Bale grade 7 to 12 na ang high school nila.

i agree with mommy larseslu, maganda ang mix ng students.. walang mga uber yaman tapos hindi materialistic ang mga bata

I too believe its balanced because there is academics and sports, but Ive had my son there since grade 2 and i think they are too lax on academics.  My son said at the level grade 5 the guard just let them go out of the gate at dismissal, may sundo man or wala , there is no indication that they are schoolbus kids or commuters, sa little ones grade 4 below medyo strict sila , pag patak ng grade 5 my son was able to go to Shang after school. 

In terms of english, lets put it this way , if your kids end up being friends with english speaking kids then ok... if not malabo siyang ma maintain ang english.  They are not strict at all, where the children are conscious that they should speak english at ALL times.  accdg to my son sa classroom lang daw after that deadma na regardless kung may teacher nearby... So my kid na super fluent pagpasok dun actually now is struggling for words pag nag e-english dahil kulang sa practice.  Luckily this year naging group of friends niya english speaking so naibalik naman.  Pero kung sa school lang ... KULANG.

my kids naman so far are doing okay.
mababa lang sila magbigay ng grades it seems.

i like how they encourage their students to hone other skills and talents at hindi puro academic. my kids are intelligent as indicated in their IQs and ibang assessments pero since they gain confidence in other talents mas naboboost sila na mag-aral and enjoy learning as a whole.

i have a brother who is currently studying in lsqc nga lang, he is in 3rd yr na, the eldest naman is graduated din from this school again sa quezon city nga lang., and for my the middle son, im planning na dito na rin siya ipasok since kanto lang namin ang lourdes sa qc so very accessible na and its a good school pa, but to be honest wala pa akong masyadong idea sa mga activities ng grade school dito sa qc kasi highschool ang brother ko, but definitely dito ko ipapasok son ko.

i've had my eye on this school for a long time now and i'm happy about the mostly good feedback here... if the upper/middle class mix is more or less balanced, ibig sabihin reasonable naman ang tuition fees, right?

ang grade 6 last year around 68K ang tuition, excluding books (usually around 5K).
this year, my son's tuition is at 73K.

They offer 5% discount for the second brother, third brother etc

I find this reasonable naman it terms of rate. They increase at least 5% annually. This year 7% ang increase daw from last year

Hello... Bago lang ako sa forum na to... I am a former physics teacher in the Lourdes School of Mandaluyong.

Sa totoo lang po. Sobrang galing ng school na yan. And most of us teachers can say the difference between lourdesians and students from other schools. Despite that they are all boys, malalambing po sila at mabubuting bata.

What I am trying to say is that the school develops not only the students' intellectual and physical abilities, but the whole person it self.

Kapag kuhaan po ng card, marami akong nakakausap na parents saying that when it comes to facilties, yes, La Salle Greenhills has the advantage, pero, hindi nila ine enroll sa LSGH ang anak nila bakit po? Kasi LSM and mas may advantage when it comes to academics.

Kahit po kausapin nyo ang mga graduates ng LSM, pagdating nila sa college, mas malaki ang advantage nila sa mga classmates nila from other high schools.

Sanay na sanay po ang mga LSM graduates sa research na magagamit nila sa college thesis.

Maganda ang relationship ng admins and employees, lalo na sa teachers. And this kind of relationship is passed on to the students...

Hindi naman po sa bini build up ko po ang LSM. Kaya lang i taught in 3 different schools, RTU Lab HS and City of Mandaluyong Science HS, iba talaga ang LSM.

Kaya pag lumalabas ang mga studyante ng LSM, nasasabi ng students from other schools, "wow Lourdesiano"

Hindi nyo po pagsisisihan na in eroll nyo kids nyo sa LSM..

Ngayon kung nagtatanong kayo bakit wala na ako sa LSM. May sakit po ako, and i my sickness wouldnt let me continue teaching...

Mommies, LSM is really a good and unregretable choice for your sons.

Lastly, we call the students, Masters... Halimbawa apilyedo nyo ay castro....

So "Master Castro".

Because the school believes that students are the masters who deserve excellence...

Hello mommies! My son studied in LSM from Grade 1 to 8 (calibrated). He's now in Philippine Science High School. I have nothing but good words for LSM because my son did not only have a holistic education but also he was trained in Christian values.

Ngayon sa Pisay, napapansin ang difference ng Lourdesiano saGradg bata. Magalang, responsable, kaibigan ng lahat. Since Franciscan school sila, they focus on teaching the kids the value of brotherhood. This is what I really liked about the school kasi only son lang ang anak ko.

As for academics, same lessons lang po sya sa La Salle Greenhills since both are trimestral. Nagtu-tutor din kasi ako ng kids both from LSM and LSGH and madalas iisa lang reviewer na ginagawa ko. Pantay kasi most of the time yung lesson outlines. Malakas sa kanila ang Science and Math and I credit the school for that. Ang anak ko nakapasok sa Pisay na walang training from a review center. Kumon lang and his lessons from LSM.

Before LSM, my son was enrolled in Don Bosco Makati and doon talaga lax ang academics. Sa LSM tamang mix lang ng academics and extra curricular activities. They also train and send the kids to compete outside the school.

The tuition fee is reasonable, although we have been paying a small percentage lang since Grade 2 kasi either Gold or Silver medallist ang anak ko. Maganda din yung naka-charge na lahat sa billing statement ultimo field trip, batch shirt, class picture etc. Para wala nang aalalahanin pang extra gastos ang magulang throughout the year.

Sa facilities sobrang laki na ng improvement through the years. Makikita niyo naman kung saan napunta ang tuition fees na binayad nyo.

Close din ang admin and PTA kaya sigurado nakakarating kaagad ang concerns ng parents.

We are planning to enroll our son in LSM this coming school year too. Can any mommies confirm if they allow yayas to stay inside the school premises ( at least on a designated area)? Our son is only 4 and this is his first big school.

The school doesnt allow yayas to stay inside the school premises.. However, may mga upuan just outside the enclosure area.. metal bars lang naman ang nakaharang so kitang kita din nya once na labasan na ng mga bata...

Considering this school for my son in the near future.

My concern lang is, I saw sa requirements na they want a baptismal certificate. My son has a dedication certificate, since we come from a non-Catholic denomination. Okay na kaya yun? Kasi from what I've heard, there are some exclusive schools na hindi tumatanggap ng non-Catholics.

Dedication certificate is ok. Hinahanap lang yun if catholic ka. And yes Lourdes School is accepting non catholic.
