Am thinking of going into MF. Does BDO have MF that can have automatic transfer from savings or payroll account? Hassle kasi if I have to keep going to an MF company to put in money.

^meron sis, UITF nga lang ang tawag.  MF din cya pero managed by banks.  Meron BDO product na Easy Investment Plan (EIP) wherein automatic nila deduct sa BDO savings account mo as low as 1k per month...then pag nakabuo ka na ng 10k which is the normal na participation sa UITF nila eh saka ka bibigyan ng Certificate of Participation (COR).  Ang maganda nun eh you can practice cost averaging kasi nga regular ang paglalagay mo ng fixed amount.

wow! very informative!.. nice thread.. last year lang 7 CCs ko.. max lahat.. hahaha.. Thanks God dalawa na lang natira ko ngayon.. at pang emergency ko na lang sila.. close na yung iba.. sarap ng feeling ng walang utang.. mahirap sa umpisa pero pag nasanay ka na ok na siya.. hi sis, it's not actually seminar pero mga demo ng mga brokers and agents sa company namin, and nasa sa'yo na yun kung hanggang saan ka maniniwala, kasi mga sinasabi lang talaga nila para lang makabenta. ang sa akin lang, sinasamantala ko lang un pagkakataon to learn about the process ng investment product. gusto ko lang ma-familiar ako sa mga terms and educate myself bago ko pumasok sa kahit na anong investment.

I started from nothing, then as I educate myself (thanks to the internet), though little, I have savings, stocks, bonds, and hopefully by this year real estate.

The hardest part is starting saving.  But once you get started, you will be addicted when you see your financial portfolio improving.
