Last Saturday, I bought the following items sa Mac Cosmetics (without thinking of the total price):
Primer
Make-up Remover
Foundation
2 brushes
Eyebrow Sharpener

Lahat iyan inabot ako ng almost 10k. Haha. Pulubi agad no.

Latest motto ko now: It's better to be hungry than to be ugly.

Basta mga bagay na ikakaganda ko, di ko titipirin.

So my answer to the question is YES. Pag maganda ka physically, nakakadagdag ng confidence iyon. Marami pa opportunities darating sayo.

Yes to skincare kasi pagmaganda ang skin di na need ng makeup, or simple makeup lang keri na. No to spending so much on cosmetics, basic makeup lang din ang meron ako like cc/bb cream, blush on, lipsticks, and mascara since yan lang alam ko gamitin and lahat pasalubong pa sa akin ng mga siblings ko. Actually I only buy pagnaubusan lang ako.

for me, find what works for you and stick to it.. mapamura or mahal man yan. kasi minsan kahit mahal hindi naman din effective. at kung saan ka masaya go lang ng go! Pero more than usual din lalo na sa skincare, mas maganda na maginvest, meaning kahit mahal kung effective sayo then buy it kasi mahirap makahanap ng hiyang ka na skincare. sa makeup marami naman dupes eh so no need na super mahal bilhin :)

Skincare is very important and you will appreciate it more when people mistake you for someone 10years younger.

I am often mistaken 10 years younger my age and my only skin care is cetaphil moisturizing cream and kojie san soap.

Make up, I agree with sisterette who said to stick what works for you, mahal man oh mura. I invested for MAC, Nars, Shu Uemura, Guerlain and Chanel. Ang ginagamit ko na lang ngayon are few MAC lipsticks, shu uemura blush palette, 1 chanel blush, naturactor concealer, kevyn aucoin skin enhancer and lip and cheek tint from ever bilena. For my brows, a 100 peso maybelline brow pencil for almost 2 years na. Minimalist na ko. Gusto ko lang ngayon brow mascara ng dollywink.

I would say skincare. I never really bothered with skincare before and would always splurge on makeup. But it came to a point where my skin was just horrible - oily but flaking, pimples with hyperpigmentation.

I finally splurged on skincare (Korean brands) and my skin is so much better! I use less makeup and feel more confident as compared to when I would wear more makeup!

Okay lang naman if your budget allows you to spend a lot on both, as in hindi ka kakain ng instant noodles for your 3 meals everyday. Kung ang budget you have to choose, una muna ang skincare, then having a good set of teeth last na ang make up.
