Sisses, from the threadstarter's entry, I don't think she was asking kung san mas dapat magspend. I think she was asking if it's ok to spend ng ganun kalaki (40k+-) on makeup and skincare together (i.e., sa pagpapaganda).

I maybe mistaken, but that's how I perceived her question to be.

"Is it worth it to spend so much on cosmetics or skin care?".. Ang interpretation ko ay 'ok ba to spend so much on cosmetics or to spend so much on skin care?'. The right interpretation pala is that she's asking if ok to spend so much on them (skincare and cosmetics). Then, my answer is YES. :) But, if I would to choose, I'll spend much on skincare rather than cosmetics. Nanghihinayang ako to splurge so much on cosmetics. I want to keep my face as natural as possible.

Serena.

I believe mas PRACTICAL to spend on SKINCARE, simply because it gives permanent result. COSMETICS kasi at the end of the day, what?, wwash off mo din naman nakakahinayang at sayang (buti sana kung napupulot lang ang pera) lol but im not saying not to buy cosmetics at all, pwede naman kaso yung controlled at yung magagamit mo talaga. hehe. Just my two cents! ;)

personally, i spend too much on skincare. hindi naman ako fussy pero picky ako sa products. if you like make up nothing's wrong if you splurge, kung napapasaya ka naman eh, gora lang.

I spend a lot on make up and skin care cus those are things I put on my skin. Especially skin care ha kase you reap din the rewards after some time. Plus, no matter how expensive your make up is, it wont matter if you dont have good skin kaya skin care is a really good investment talaga.

For skin care, yep.
For cosmetics, not so much.

I tend to spend more on skincare and skin treatments. Just because I see it as an investment (HAHAHA) I mean when I'm late 40's or so I still want to look youthful as possible. On make up not as much just because I work in a hospital envt. lol

It is better to spend on skincare.  It makes your make up more attractive. Bad skin makes you more unattractive and very noticeable even wearing make up.

It's not worth it to spend so much on anything. But if you can afford it, and if it makes you happy, what does it matter?

For me, while still young, get what you want as long as you can afford it. My mom says kahit may pang spend na syang pera, nalulungkot siya when she sees herself in the mirror na medyo old na look nya. Di na mabalik ang youth. Kahit anong foundie , may kulubot na. She doesnt like botox. Takot siya sa needles.

On my experience, iba spending style kapag you are young and you have a child na. Though i can afford to buy extras, i still think on the spending matters ng merong anak. From milk to diapers to yaya to tutor to driver to education to travel matters. Ako i bring along the yaya whenever i travel kaya magastos. Depends to your lifestyle. If you can afford it. Why not di ba?

For skin care, yes na yes.
For cosmetics, i think twice, if di ako lalagnatin after di ko mabili, ok lang. But there are things na i cant hold back. Cant stop myself from buying. Eh di go na lang. No choice eh.

-- for me no especially on skin care... kasi ang daming natural (we can find them in our kitchen, though take a little effort for preparation :) )  products that we can use on our skin, which most of the time, works much better than the products we buy at the drugstore..

--in terms of cosmetics.. just invest on good foundation (if needed), concealer (if needed), brow palette, and a not too expensive lip gloss... the more natural, the better :)

--but invest on HAIR, always have a beautiful bouncy hair, you ca never go wrong, you would always feel beautiful :)

Invest MORE on skin care. I used the word invest since I'm taking the premise as it is for the long term. You can best deal with the inevitable process of aging where the skin loses its elasticity when you have skin thats very well taken cared of. Concealers and foundation can only cover so much. Besides, make-up still works splendidly on a smooth, blemish-free canvas.

Not to jinx, I seldom have breakouts or pockmarks ,I spend less as possible on skin care and prefers the natural way, lesser chemicals the better.

If you can afford it, why not? I'd like to spend a lot on skincare pero kung wala akong pera (or may iba kong priorities), hindi ako gagastos.

i'll go for skincare coz you don't need to much makeup if you have a good skin to start with, kaso sarap lang talaga magcollect ng makeups  :P

but if you can afford it and it makes you happy gora lang lalo na if you worked hard for that money, parang treat lang sa sarili for a job well done  :P

My priority is skincare because magastos sa makeup and effort itago ang bad skin.

With a good skin, i suggest quality makeups that you can afford and makes you glow naturally.

Then apply minimalism.  May expiration ang makeup kaya not recommended to hoard.  :)

If you'll break out due to bad makeup, magastos din magpa-derma.  :)

;D Pero ok lang, it makes me feel and look good naman, it's worth it.

Nakakatamad ilagay and tanggalin on a daily basis eh. Hahahaha.

ako before puro make up make up make up without skin care. but after a while hindi rin maganda
kasi every once in a while magkakabreak outs or line due to aging

after a while i realized i wanted to have flawless skin than all the fancy make up.

expensive make up products are good to apply on clear smooth skin diba
