I got a memorial service plan from APEC. Next investment we'll get for my hubby naman. Yung kukunin namin for him co-insured yung spouse para kahit anong mangyari samin, may insurance kaming dalawa kahit isang plan lang ang binabayaran. May return of investment din yun.

hindi biro buhay ngayon. mine is st. peter and i got it for 650 monthly, five years to pay, nagsimula ako nung september ata or august.

I'm sure makukuha nyo at least yung amount ng nainvest nyo and probably some interest. Ganyan nangyari sa traditional education plan ng kapatid ko. Hindi sya naka avail ng educational benefit pero nakuha ng parents ko yung investment nila plus interest. Hindi narin masama. Alam ko pinagbibili na yung prudential so a new company will take over their assets and liabilities.

At least may bibili, ibig sabihin may pag-asa pa. Hindi lang mamanage ng prudential but some other companies see it as profitable parin.

Thanks for the info sis, ang sama  talaga ng loob ng mama ko kasi agent siya ng prudential at siya nagbigay ng idea to invest since Dad na lang namin ang walang plan, siya meron na. I do hope maresolve nga agad  basta mas stable na ang bibili, we are willing to resume paying for the plan.

Halos lahat naman yan, pare-pareho ang benefits. You get memorial service and while you are paying for your plan, covered ka pa ng insurance. Some offer money back or return of investment after a certain number of years. Gusto ko sa Apec, meron pang co-insured. Pati asawa o kamag-anak, covered ng insurance.

I think puro funeral services and life plans lang sa St. Peter, walang kasamang lot.

My mother got 5 memorial plans from St Peter. Yung 4 kasi niyang kinuha, yung pinakamura, 550 ata monthly, for the seniors in our family.

Yung isang plan na kinuha ng nanay ko, if di pa din nagagamit yung plan after 10 years, may return siyang makukuha. I'm not sure if may insurance din.

i plan to get this before the year ends. iba na din na ready ka for whatever happens in the future. i have a life insurance policy, savings, sss, etc but iba pa din the ease and convenience of this. my grandma died last 2011 and she didn't have any savings but my uncle got a service plan for her, everything was taken care of and we just upgraded the room. tapos my family has lots naman in manila memorial so no problem.

I've been planning to get one for the longest time. I prefer cremation. Probably getting one with St. Peter's ;)

Ha, same din ako with the cremation plan, sis diwata.

I already have a regular funeral plan with St. Peter's (paid for in in cash ;last year) because natakot na ako after my lola died. I mean, it wasn't unexpected, Lola had been very sick and bedridden for years na, and when she finally went, it was in less than 10 days.

Buti na lang my cousin's husband had a St. Peter's plan to spare (agent kasi mom ni cousin-in-law, and she gave each of her kids 2 plans, ang galing ano?) kaya di kami nag-panic.

I got one plan because I didn't want to have to scramble for funds or hunt for people who can help kung kelan may nangyari na. It's not a nice thing to think about, but it's a dact of life, and one we have to prepare for, kahit papaano, or else papahirapan pa natin yung mga survivors, diba?

For peace of mind I want 2 funeral plans because my mom's 70 and my dad's 83 (knock on wood) . Yung cremation gusto ko for me personally. Aanhin naman nila yung labi ko eh wala na ako. Kung cremation, pwede pa ako makapunta ng Disneyland, itakas na lang nila yung abo ko doon. ;)

Hate the fact that there's something wrong with St. Peter's website. Can't see the pictures for their packages!Tsk.

May I ask sa mga naiwan ng grandparents or parents na walang plan na na-stress kayo pag asikaso, meron ba sila iniwan na life insurance?
Would just like to validate the concept Kung puede na nga Basta insured ka. Kasi Kung wala din, hard to compare the varying opinions here

Hi sis sxy_shandy,

Both my grandparents died without leaving anything behind. Lola was a housewife for more than 60 years, and Lolo had been retired for mga 20 years by the time he died. I was too young to remember what my mom and aunts/uncles did nung namatay si Lolo (he went first), but for Lola I can assure you, even with the plan, we still had to collect money and donations for the burial fees (at Holy Cross), kaya natuto na ako.

I hope this helps.

hi mga sis. planholder din ako ng st. peter, next year fully paid na. then, kuha naman ako ng cremation plan. 2 types pala yun, cremation before viewing or cremation after viewing.

mas gusto ko yung cremation before viewing, ayoko kasi ng may sumisilip sakin.  ;D
