may nakapagtry na bang magpa book using Asiatravel sa inyo mga sis? they have lower rates kasi compared to travel agencies, airline website/s, cheapoair, kayak, hipmunk and skycanner. Marami na rin akong nababasa na okay ang asiatravel for booking hotels kaso I haven't read pa on airline ticket purchase.

http://www.jetradar.com is the only place I go to search flights now, after consistently finding them to find the best deals. They don't 'promote' any particular airline, but are totally transparent, plus they include the extra fees and taxes that you know you have to pay but many other 'comparison' sites leave off. This is helpful, as you can make a fair assessment of which is the best price.

i usually check all possible sites as well as the airline's site then after that, i would call my agent to check. usually, it would be cheaper to but directly from local carriers but international carries would end up buying either from sites or from my agent.

Sisses, can you please give me an idea how much yung flights from MNL to Barajas, Madrid in December? Kas I've tried mock booking at several websites and airlines pero parang sobrang mahal. Haha. Hi sis, I tried booking with cheapoair but I didn't find the Philippines in their list of countries when I was entering my card details. 

Anyone tried booking with them w/ Philippine issued card?

I also use skyscanner.com I especially love their whole month or whole year feature. You can shop around the lowest fares for the entire year just click mo lang yung calendar ng depart then choose whole month or whole year.

My best bargain, 2 years in a row sa Phil Travel Expo pero every Feb lang yun. Last year I got roundtrip ticket MLA-JFK for $800 net and then this year I got roundtrip ticket MLA-FCO(Rome) for $808net.

I'm also a fan of major airlines FB pages. They  do announce their seat sale and I prefer that better than emails.

^ defintely yes! but ndi ko sure kung lahat makaka avail ng promo fares. pwede ka rin naman magcut ng good deal sa travel agent mas pressured sila na makabenta kasi they paid a hefty amount to join  big travel expo so may mga quota din yun mga yun

Worssstt experience ko talaga tong airlines na to pero talaga namang mura kaya before checking out airline reviews binili ko na kagad yung ticket. No disrespect to the elders pero yung mga Chinese mahilig sila mag spit sa barf bag pero very throaty. Mapapa cringe ka everytime you'll hear them. Nung sa Beijing Olypmics meron talagang news segment about this nasty habit ng mga older Chinese generation pero ganon talaga pala sila. Also, yung mga flight attendants walang pakialam basta maserve yung food and macollect yung garbage yun na yun ndi nagsmi-smile and chi-na-chinese nila ako eh napaka morena ko no one will ever mistake me as Chinese. Ayaw nila mageffort mag English. The best experience parin Korean Air and for me mas nagustuhan ko sila kesa sa Cathay for my US flights

Korean Air is medyo expensive. huhu. Is Cathay better than China Air naman? Mabilis kasi sila going to US 18hours lang.

Mga sis yung ibang flights na nakikita ko it takes more than 20 hours to fly to US. Ganun ba talaga kahaba ang lay over or is it bec of the time difference?

hi.. i tried mock booking for cheaper flights manila to us.. i applied for mileage program ng united but when i tried booking for my next flight next april they're about 300 to 400 dollars expensive than websites like cheapoair.com or skyscanner.com   '
pero i am not sure if i will still earn miles using those websites..
i just went to the us last month. booked thru united.com manila to houston intercontinental airport for 1318 dollars and i earned almost 19000 miles for that.. dami stopovers pero mas cheaper kapag manila to los angeles mga 1000 dollars thru cheapoair or skyscanner then try to book na lang thru southwest airlines or jet blue for domestic flights lax to iah ...

can you give me cheaper websites where i can still earn miles?
skyscanner gave me a cheaper manila to lax flight but china southern airlines and air china and parang hindi maganda reviews dito and it does not give me option for earning miles if i enroll for frequent flyer program ng air china or china southeast airlines

^Skyscanner is not a booking website but a comparison website. It will collect all cheap available fares offered by third party websites i.e. cheapoair, expedia, orbitz, etc. Third party booking websites can offer cheap fares because they get the most restricted fares offered by the airlines meaning no mileage accrual (unless specified), no pre-seating, no refunds, etc. The cheaper the fare the more restrictions the ticket will have.

If you are after mileage accrual, best to check with the air carrier directly or a trusted travel agency. Ask for the lowest fare that can accrue miles. That's what I always do since I prefer earning miles. Now, you mentioned an April departure? April to first week June is considered peak travel ex Manila so expect higher fares compared to travelling say in July to October.
