Okay ba ang Ecosport ? Gusto ko rin sana Mobilio kaso mejo mahaba, di na kasya sa parking. Masikip kasi parking namin. 

Preferred kasi namin yung mejo mataas ng konti and matic para maddrive ko  Kaya ko lang naman gusto ng mobilio kasi 7-seater. Hehe! Pero mababa lang din yun eh, parang jazz na pinahaba.

I was able to ride one in Uber and also wanted to get an EcoSport kasi nga affordable na mataas. What exactly are you looking for in getting a new car? Do you have other purposes aside from transport in the metro?

Reason why we didn't get one kasi mababa yung power and the ride isn't that "smooth".

^^ Wala naman sis, I want lang sana yung maddrive ko para pag may pupuntahan ako di ko na kailangan mang-abala ng ibang tao para magpahatid / magpasundo. So tingin mo sis EcoSport is not a good choice? Sorry wala naman kasi akong alam din sa mga sasakyan hehe.

maganda nga yung ecosport kaya lang sabi sakin hindi daw maganda ang suspension. poorly built yung pang ilalim niya.

Planning to buy my first car gusto ko sana yung Toyota Wigo.. Iniisip ko lang din kasi pag yung monthly niya worth it ba ? or second hand nalang..

Per my friend's expert review - he writes for a car magazine - okay ang Wigo for the price range it is in.  Kung sa 2nd hand remember to first check kung walang record sa PNP.  And ask if the owner has a maintenance logbook.

Working from memory lang ha but there is a small office sa may LTO sa Kapitolyo ng Pasig - I think they already changed this to something else as last I was it was already demolished.  Its the one sa may Ynares Stadium o something like that.  I am not sure where such office may be sa Camp Crame as no one was able to give me the answer kung may office sila for such doon.

Definite you need the plate number, model and brand ng vehicle, color, etc.  Isama mo na rin yun engine and body number.  Makikita ito sa engine bay ng vehicle.  Engine number usually nasa makina iyan top portion while body number nasa passenger side front part.

I-check mo rin kung it is properly registered.  Malaking sakit ng ulo kapag hindi registered and pina-expire lang.  Different story if it was put into storage - storage option sa LTO licensing not just ginarahe lang.

SA Anti Carnapping Unit ng Crame pero hindi ka mag papa check don kung Pre Owned or 2nd hand car kundi aalamin o i verify mo kung meron pending "Alarm" ang car na bibilhin mo. Sa Anti Carnapping Unit malalaman kung naka alarma ang car. Ngayon kapang nalaman mo naka Alarm siya eh wag mo na ituloy pag bili ng car dahil sakit yan sa ulo.

Here's another tip.  May areas kasi sa bansa natin where they sell carnapped vehicles.  Usually these are sold cheap kahit mukhang bago pa o too-good-to-be-true ang price.  They will show you registration papers and such pero do your own homework.  Mabuti na iyong sigurado than siguro.  FYI.  Kahit lumang Beetle ninanakaw iyan.  Ewan lang if they are to sell it or what though.

May pros and cons naman may it be new or 2nd hand.  Sa new definitely not much headaches kasi under warranty, new nga so you get that brand new smell and you are the one who would be break it in.  As in tame it. 

Sa 2nd hand assured ka na for sure may parts and mas marami na (hopefully) na mechanic who can fix it kahit nasaan ka pa.  You can tune it to the way you want it to be - na hindi pwede sa brand new dahil under warranty nga.  And kapag learning to drive pa lang ay you get something that you feel its okay to abuse it.  Dahil sayang naman to do that on a brand new car!

And if you are old school hindi mo problema ang mabasa ang car computer mo, you can tinker with the engine and others sa own garage mo, etc. 

Study mo lang really well ano yun pros and cons ng car as well as of yourself.  Then and only then should you try to narrow down ano maging choices mo.

Well, there are some who sell cars na under warranty pa so try to luck on those.  And do make sure what the seller has done has not voided the warranty yet.

I am not sure how it is with those buying from cars repossessed by banks.  May ilan na may bad habit who would abuse the vehicle before the bank gets it from them.

FYI.  Crash safety ang priority then focus on the brakes it comes with.  Disc brakes are way better than drum brakes obviously more so kung for all wheels.  Then fuel efficiency and how good the report is sa engine.  Huwag ninyo pansinin masyado yun mga bling blings like radio, etc.  You can always replace those yourself after.  And try to test drive it.  Important na ano performance kung fully loaded to capacity.  As in 4 people are in it, etc.

Yes, based on experience, less headaches if you buy a new car.

Buying used car would work for those who have extensive knowledge to inspect good condition.

Question lang, sana may sumagot. Car dealership asking for 5k reservation fee. May mga nabasa akong reviews and forum posts na hindi daw naibabalik yun in case you change your mind or you're not able to fulfill the bank's requirements (kahit approved pa).

Is your question kung totoo na may ganon? if then, yes. that is true. in case you will continue they will  deduct reservation fee from your total

When I asked the person we met yesterday why they picked the Mitsubishi Strada even if the Isuzu pick up was the better choice ay it all boils down to customer service.  Isipin ninyo na they are willing to pay in cash though did not look the part kaya hindi sila pinapansin.  Maghintay na lang daw.  The Toyota pickup is way overpriced and mas loaded na ang features ng high end model ng Mitsubishi while the Toyota is still the base version.  Been hearing much about this from many sources.  I-consider ninyo these stuff when searching to buy your vehicle.

-Look also for the after sales service like for example, Foton. Been hearing a lot of reviews na sakit sa ulo ang after sales service nila.
-Usually din, if you will buy in cash, hindi ka masyado papansinin kasi maliit ang kita sa cash sales.
-As advised as well and per research, for buying new cars thru bank financing, (if alam mo na what brand/model/unit you like) it would be best to do bank-hopping first para sa amount of monthly amortization/interest rate. the bank na may lowest interest rate, haggle more for a much lower interest rate if possible then tsaka kayo pumunta sa dealer. let them know na you already have bank quotation/pre-approved bank (auto) loan from ___ (bank) at ___ (branch).
