Buying a Car

Bought my first car, living here in California, di pwedeng walang car. We got Mazda 2016 CX-5 GT. Top of the line, its really nice and has better features than the CRV which i initially plan to buy. I really like its safety features as well, super worth it.

Hi mga sis! We plan to get a car in 1 to 2 yrs time so as early as now, we would like to get an idea how much we need to pay as down and our monthly payment so we can start saving up. For our first car, were eyeing on mitsubishi mirage g4 2015 model, good for 6 person ba siya? And for current owners of this model, whats the lowest possible price for this and where in manila can I get the best deal?

^sis, check mo how much ang kaya nyo i-allot for monthly payments para malaman mo kung magkano ang ida-down. Kasi usually yung monthly payments nyo e naka depende sa kung magkano ang idadown payment nyo.

I bought my family an Adventure on December2009. I paid 50% DP, 24mos to pay. Nairaos ko naman yung bayaran. Yung maintenance, bahala na parents ko kasi sila naman talaga ang gumagamit. Nakikihiram lang ako.

Nung nasa UK naman ako, puro 2nd hand ang kotse ko. Yung huli ko dun, Ford Fiesta Diesel. Matipid sa gas kasi long drive ako everyday (60miles balikan). Madali makakuha ng kotse sa UK. Pinalit ko sa kanila yung Jazz ko, wala akong cash out. Ang monthly ko nasa £170 lang for 60mos. Pero umuwi na kasi ako ng Pinas kaya kinuha ng kakilala ko yung kotse at sya ang nagtuloy ng bayad.

Dito naman sa Pinas, just this year, I bought my own car, Hyundai Grandi10. 30%DP, 36mos to pay naman. Matic na kinuha ko kasi ang sakit sa tuhod ng manual lalo sa trapik sa Manila. bago pa lang naman kaya wala pa akong masyadong gastos sa maintenance.

Just like other investments, better talaga to have extra cash para bigger ang down payment, and lesser ang monthly payments thereafter.

Kami naman, we avoid the additional charges of paying interest so when we buy transportation, we prefer cash.  For other investments, diyan kami installment kasi usually sa supplier ka naman uutang and as long as kakayanin naman ang monthly payments go na. Sa ngayon, we have 4 transpo and we are selling the CRV kasi wala narin kaming parking. Baba ng resale value ng matic.

For a newbie lady driver, better ba to get those sedan type/ small cars muna than the  bigger ones? We are on car hunting mode and yung mga type ko yung medyo malalaki para spacious.. Options ko right now are crv, rav4, xtrail, mazda cx5 or the newly launched honda mobilio, while hubby's suggestion naman are civic, volkswagen polo hatchback or subaru xv or impreza.. For personal use ko lang going to work, but since i have 2 small kids, im more partial to bigger and more spacious vehicles.. Yun lang, di ba ako mahihirapan esp sa parking? Actually, di pa ako marunong magdrive, I'll have my driving lessons pa lang next week lol

All our cars are big ones and I'm only 5"2.  I don't think that would be much of a problem. Tanchahan lang naman yan sa parking.

Any insights on Chevrolet Spin 1.5 LTZ Automatic Gas? It will be mainly for personal errands (i work from home) and occasional long drives, hence we are not looking for anything high end.

We went to subaru and honda kanina, parang na love at first sight ako sa xv haha so nung nasa honda kami, out na agad ang mobilio, di ko na sya type, pati crv di ko na din masyado gusto.. mas lamang na si xv, ok lang pala size nya plus the color nagandahan ako

Di naman ganun kahirap sa parking, i feel safer having a bigger car although wala pa naman kaminb kids ni hubby. driving a 2016 mazda cx5 GT and ok naman so far so good.

And para din makapili kayo ng best bank, yes BANK talga ang ideal para mas maliit ang interest

un amount na iloan nyo pede naman un maadjust pag I go go nyo na un loan nyo

Pagisipan nyo mabuti un kaya nyo I bayad per month, of course may  set aside kayo ng pang gas and maintenance

Hi sisses! Hubby and I are planning to buy a brand new car. Mga pinagpipilian namin are:

Suzuki Ertiga
Mitsubishi Adventure
Toyota Innova
Isuzu Crosswind
Honda Mobilio

Any feedbacks po on the above? Yung ertiga gas pala, preferred kasi sana namin yung diesel. Pero i read na matipid naman daw ito sa gas. Hindi ko gets, haha. Wala kasi ako alam about cars. Also, ok lang kaya for a newbie driver mag manual transmission? Mag aaral pa rin kasi ako mag drive, sabi nila mas madali pag matic. Kay hubby kasi wala naman problem dahil MT yung dati niyang kotse.

Yung mga nababasa kong 1.3, 2.5 etc, capacity po ba yun ng makina? Sorry ang noob ko. Ano po mas ok pag out of towns? Thank you!

With your choices, the best for me is the Innova, lalo you want a diesel-fed vehicle.  Space wise, aftersales, panalo ang Toyota.  Yung sa Adventure and Xwind medyo di ko gusto kasi AFAIK walang safety features like airbags at luma na ring mga models yan. 

In our case, we chose Ertiga kasi limited lang budget namin.  We compared it to Mobilio (and Avanza) but we chose the Ertiga.  Feeling namin mas sulit siya compared sa 2. Maganda rin reviews nya sa net. Di namin nagustuhan masyado yung interiors ng Mobilio.

So far okay naman sis.  I am averaging 15km/liter. Manual pala ang gamit ko. Province kami pero may heavy to moderate traffic lalo na kung rush hour.  Comfortable ang ride.  Nasanay kasi ako sa "truck" na Isuzu. hehe

^yes sis you can. that's what we did din. For the 1st yr prudential sya nakainsure then ngayon 2nd yr we got BPI/MS Insurance. mabilis lang din.
