Sis pretty_aye sabi mo pinili mo in house kasi kasama na insurance. Nacompute nyo din ba difference kapag bank then TPL lang insurance? Comprehensive kasi yung kasama sa in-house diba?

Bought a car year 2012, supposedly it will be fully paid on 2016, but this year 2014 we decided to pay it in full and less worry na rin for us. Upon completion of payment, we informed PSBank and asked for certification of full payment. Within a week we received it already. We also asked our documents the original OR/CR which unfortunately not yet forwarded by Toyota to PsBank Main office. The bank said that our OR/CR was not forwarded either to LTO yet. After a month, PSBank sent us the original OR/CR and has no notation that its ENCUMBERED. I assumed it should be stamped on the OR/CR which I did not found on it. Its under my hubby's name. Question, do we have to still process it at ROD? and LTO?

Sis cheniwin, try mu po sa Toyota pasig mas okey ang in house if super nakapromo ang down payment kasi madaming freebies, sa bank kasi [textspeak!] pa mga inclusion, I got approved for both but mas pinili ko inhouse kasi upon computation talo lang sya ng 10k pero insurance kasama na sa bank ako pa kukuha nun, eh alam ko mahal din un ... hope this help

^kapag wala ka pang plaka, dapat meron kang permit to travel. hingi ka sa dealer ng ganun para yun ang ipapakita mo sa MMDA kapag pinara ka.

^meron sis. Though we were never in a situation that we had to use the document pero nagbibigay ng ganito ang mga dealers. Yung date ng OR/CR namin e 3 months pa after ng purchase napasok ng LTO. Yung plaka e 6 months bago nakuha. Unggoy nila pag di nila i-honor.

mga sis, around how much ba monthly budget nyo sa car (gas, maintenance, insurance, registration, etc)?
bale ngayon I'm practicing to save 15k a month to see if I can pay for monthly amort as high as this. Aside from this, I spend P200/day for my transpo. Nagccab kasi ako either papasok or pauwi.
Based on what I hear and read, 200/day is parang budget na din sa gas when you have a car, so I think ang magpapamahal nalang when I own one is yung parking fee. My target monthly amort is 13k lang sana.
I don't think I'll use up gas a lot kasi panghapon ako and madaling araw umuuwi. one-way commute is only around 20minutes.

these are all just my estimates on what my monthly budget would be versus public commute:

gas= 150/day                           
parking=100/day
---------------
250/day= 5,500/month at 22 days
monthly amort=13,500
P 19,000 subtotal * excl insurance, maintenance

insurance @ around 24k/yr = 2k monthly
monthly maintenance budget = 1k
LTO reg 3k/ yr = 250

19,000+3,250=22,250

Car Monthly Budget = P 22,250 (incl gas, parking, insurance, LTO reg, 1k maintenance)

PS I know things such as registration and insurance are paid yearly but I would just like to see a monthly breakdown of expenses.
   Commute is Pasig to BGC during non-rush hours (3pm and 1am) so expected ko matipid sa gas

Right now I spend 200/day=4,400/month on public transpo.

happynlove Are you open to getting diesel and manual transmission?  My initial consideration was gas/ diesel and additional expenses like parking, insurance and the like.

I don't commute, so I had to buy a car when my sister was competing sa pag gamit ng car haha. I'm so proud that I was able to save enough to buy it in cash. Pero try mo chevrolet trailblazer or toyota fortune, they have diesel and they look astig. Mga rav4, wala ng manual.

Sis happynlove, medyo dagdagan mo ang budget mo sa insurance kung brand new car ang kukunin mo. Nasa 22-28k malamang ang insurance ng maliliit na baseline model cars. Kasi yung sakin na 34-35k na ang compre e. Agree ako sa suggestion ni sis abbydasassy about fuel efficient car.

Thank you sa inputs sisses! Bale ang main use ng car is office-work and once or twice a yr out of town. Cnompare ko to with a colleague who lives 22km from our workplace and balikan nya daw is P200 sa gas/day. Our house is just 8km from workplace so I'm guessing nasa 100 lang talaga a day yung gas.

Also, yes, fuel-efficient talaga kukunin ko since ito nga lang magiging purpose ng ride, mga 1.3 or 1.5 Toyota or Honda lang.
Also, nakbudget na jan yung insurance na around 24k/yr. My friend kasi has 25k compre insurance (Ford ecosport).
Yung mga change oil diba magiging part siya ng maintenance (pms)? And this is only twice a year? kulang pa si 1k a month for that? May nababasa ko under 2k yung 1st and 2nd pms nila..

Ako lang mostly gagamit sa car since dad has a ride of his own. Meron din car si boyfie so kung lalabas kami siyempre car nya gagamitin haha wala din akong siblings so walang kaagaw sa car I seldom go out on weekends, & if ever, si bf lang kasama ko

P.s yung 23 days could be lower (3x a week)considering my coding and work from home days kami so pwede na siguro sabihin kasama na unplanned jan

^allot a little extra din pala for annual maintenance since mas mahal sya than the usual visit na change oil lang pero eto naman e down the road na. Di naman agad agad. By that time, you got the feel na kung magkano ang gastusin and nakapag adjust ka na nun.

^ tjmax yes, dun lang ako talaga natatakot sa pms after several years pero un nga, matagal pa naman pero para sure at least may sure 12k a year na ko. in the 1st year mga 3k palang naman pms especially pag Toyota diba? so may 9k na kong nakasave. ayoko kasi ng biglaan na pagquote sakin total pala 20k  isseparate savings acct ko to.

^ sis abbeydasassy yung car ba na dndescribe mo is family car nyo or personal mo lang din? mas tipid yata talaga pag may kasabay, say, siblings mo pagpasok sa work.

I am thinking of getting a car and I am torn between Mirage GLS G4 (AT) and Accent Sedan (Diesel AT).

I commute from Bulacan to Makati everyday. And I am not sure which one is "mas matibay" given that I'll use it on weekdays and considering the distance too.

Any thoughts, ladies?

Hi sis! I personally use mirage G4 and Di pa naman nya ko binigo plus japanese made cars are really reliable that's why I opted for a mitsubishi. I have nothing against hyundai kasi I don't have experience with it but my dad who is a car enthusiast never bought a hyundai. I don't really know why but that should mean something righ?
