Buying a Car

I got a Honda City for my first car _ it's a 2000 model handed to by my parents. Now I'm also starting to save-up for a new car. Im thinking of buying the Honda CRZ which is expected to arrive on August/September this year.

The first question is who are you expecting to ride with. If it's personal driving only then get a compact car, but if you're expecting to drive your family and friends with you often. I suggest get an SUV.

There are a lot of car brands offering payment schemes and it usually just depend on the type. Of course you have to take note of your capacity to pay the remaining balance not just the downpayment.

For me I also consider the brand's service and car quality.  I've been really satisfied with Honda's service and I've never had any problem with the car. The Honda City I'm using now is Manual Transmission, and it moves like it's new. The Honda CRZ however is a Hybrid car, and base on reviews and infos around the net it's efficient, eco-friendly and really fast. From what I understand it's not quite a sports car but it has that feel to it. And for the specs, the price is definitely worth it!

I don't have my full license yet, heck I can't even drive on my own or on main roads! But I will have to learn soon... and quick since pagka panganak ko, it will just be me and my baby at home.. hubby is at work and I'm on leave for 8 months so if may emergency, lagot ako!

So I got my first ever car, ang request ko lang is hindi boxy, hindi korean/chinese car so we got a Honda Civic na hindi ko matandaan ang year (1997-2000). It's my runaround car and hindi natetense si hubby tuwing nagppractice ako magdrive. Our other car is a 2006 BMW and yan talaga pinagpapawisan sya ng malagkit pag nagppractice ako

I'm happy cuz I like Honda (and Mazda). But I like BMWs more. Of course naman, I won't buy a BMW as my first car. Hindi rin ako bibili ng brand new car. Ever.

hi mga sis. just got my license this month. im planning to buy my first car. since bago lang din ako natuto talaga, advice ng karamihan is 2nd hand muna bilhin ko. for starters, anong ma recommend nyo mga sis? gagamitin ko lang din siya pang hatid-sundo  sa baby ko who is in playschool this june.

hays, dilemma ko din 'to, I'm planning to buy my first car, nagstart pa lang akong magdriving lesson ngayon. last 2010, gusto ko talaga either jazz or fiesta, pero may kamahalan kapag plan mo na talagang bumili, nyahahaha, I'm eyeing on mirage, since cheaper siya, pero hindi pa ako knowledgeable sa cars, I don't know if its worth it, lalo na Honda matatag daw talaga (sabi ni instructor), pero pag brand new naman, hindi naman nagkakasakit daw agad ang mga cars...hays

^maganda sis ang mirage for starters lalo na sa girls..compact yung car pero roomy naman din sa loob..cheapest price nya is 498k brandnew, 5 years warranty or 100km..

5 years? tagal ah. Sa toyota 3 years or 100k KM whichever comes first.

^^^sis, wala akong mirage, i just worked before at Mitsubishi..dont worry, hindi mahirap maghanap ng parts sa Pinas and hindi din mahal ang service charge every 5km, 10km etc..

just had driving lessons this am at honda. I'm keen on buying city na but natatakot ako baka mainit sa mata pag girl ang driver plus bnew siya and hindi pa talaga ako super magaling magdrive so baka magasgasan ko lang. now I'm thinking if buying mirage or eon at least mura kahit gasgasan ko. what do u think girls?

Having heavy window tint could also be disadvantageous.

Kasi di makikita ng mga tao/pulis sa labas na may kasakay na palang mga criminal sa loob ng sasakyan ang babaeng driver.

oo nga sis, if subsidized, go for honda city. ako i prefer big cars, like montero. kita ko kasi lahat eh kasi mataas siya. i have tried driving an A/T Montero, sarap i-drive.

yung bro ko kasi sabi gagasgasan ko lang kaya sayang saka mahina pa ako magestimate. altho siguro sanayan lang nga. compared to mirage parang laruan lang kasi kaya enticing idrive

i was using a 97 mitsubishi gsr nun handed by my dad then last year i sold it and got a hyundai eon. nung nag plano ako kumuha ng car ang daming kumontra sa eon kesyo dapat daw vios na lang etc. pero ito yung mga considerations:

1. price, mura sya nsa 450k plus, and affordable payment scheme by bpi
2.  gas efficiency - 0.8 lang makina nya so matipid . its just me and my son all the time and city driving lang panghatid sa school , grocery, pasyal sa mall so ok na sya
3. i love it kasi maliit sya but its spacious inside (believe it or not ) as in nakakasingit ako kahit saan. kahit maliit na space naipapark ko sya, singit singit lang

yun lang naman ang primary considerations ko. yeah, it's cranky and it slows down when going up flyovers, pero sa mahal ng gas ngayon at sa traffic sa metro manila. ok na ko dito.

^Sis I'm also eyeing the Eon because I can't afford a car more expensive than 500k; however, matic sana ang gusto ko coz traffic ang dadaanan kong area and I'm not very good at stick shift driving. Magaan ba ang manual na Eon? I can drive manual Vios well kasi magaan (that's what I used in driving school) so baka keri ko naman ang manual basta magaan. My car kasi right now is a temperamental '92 manual Toyota Corolla. Medyo mabigat due na rin to its age.

im driving suzuki celerio for a month now... so far ok naman... di ko pa sya nadadala sa office, pag medyo sanay na [textspeak!] ako magdrive... right now, ginagamit ko sya pang hatid sundo sa kids sa school (30 mins rin travel time), pagpunta mall and groceries... i have 3 little kids and sa ngayon sakto lang samin yung size ng car... hehe... it's automatic kaya hindi mahirap i-drive.. nahirapan kasi ko dati nung manual pa yung car namin... and tipid rin sa gas... since it's also a japanese car (like toyota/ honda) di rin mahirap hanapan ng parts... cost is around P580k for automatic...
