Question:   Diba may certain amount ka lang na pwedeng ilabas ng pinas? Tama ba?

Me certain amount na pwede ng hindi i-declare. But more than that set amount, pwede mo pa rin naman dalhin but yun nga lang, you have to declare sa customs.

Will be travelling to hongkong alone. Govt employee so hassle Kung mag declare to many channels to go thru..
Is the IO in hongkong ask so many questions? Will I have a problem? Tia

Sis, yung IO dito sa Phil, kita ata sa system nila kung gov't employee ka. Yung sa mom ko kasi di niya dineclare na gov't employee siya pero hinanap ng IO yung parang permission to travel niya at yung ticket pabalik. Pero okay naman, di naman nakakatakot magtanong yung IO.

The Immigration Supervisor gave me a REQUIREMENTS TO COMPLIED SLIP mga sis pag ba naibigay ko na yung hinihingi nila  sure na ba na makaka-go na ako or back to start na naman ako. Magrerebook na kc ako parang ayoko ng maulit ang night mare na ito.... Na-tauma talaga ako pero sayang naman ang trip ko na ito..

Sis If I may asked? what's the purpose of your trip? Saka medyo di ko din ma gets purpose ng xerox copy ng passport ng ng pinsan mo..don ka ba tutuloy sa kanya? If tourist ka kasi,, basically passport, RT tickets & Hotel accomodation, company ID.

Vacation..Tourist visa na sa akin sponsor ng pinsan ko. Yap dun nga ako tutuloy sa kanya kaya may invitation letter na hiningi sa akin then hiningi na nga kung may photocopy daw ako ng passport ng pinsan ko...inihanda nya na kasi yun just in case hanapin yun nga hinanap nga.

Linawin ko lang pala, dun sa pagkuha ng passport sa DFA, nadeclare niyang gov't employee siya. Pero dun sa airport/IO, di pa siya nagsasalita, yung permission to travel agad ang pambungad sa kanya.
Maroon (regular) passport gamit niya nung time na yun.

Nilabas niya lang yung permission to travel. Tapos tinanong kung kelan balik at asan ang ticket. Naipakita naman niya at mukang nasastify naman yung IO sa sagot niya kaya natuloy kami. NAIA 3 at papunta kaming Cambodia nun.

Sa Oman sis nandun ang pinsan/bestfriend ko bale treat nya sken para naman daw maranasan ko makapunta sa ibang bansa 

Hassle talaga sila hinihingi nila copy ng POEA Clearance nya at ng husband ng pinsan ko pati marriage contract nila that time kasi di makita ng pinsan ko yung POEA Clearance nila at nagkataon din na tinakbo nila sa hosital anak nila kc taas ng lagnat 

Wala akong work husband ko lang gov't employee din kaya hingi din nila xerox ng id ni hubby...

I only have 20k pocket money plus credit card...

Hi sis, ano kaya pwede ko gawin kasi i will be travelling to SG with my daughter, and maiden name pa yung sa passport ko, ma question kaya ako ng IO? Im a government employee, and i have already the permit to travel but married name na yung nakalagay dun. Thank you sa mga sasagot

^ sis, I believe no problem naman kahit maiden name sa passport mo. I suggest however na magdala ka copy ng marriage certificate nyo ni hubby and birth certificate ng daughter mo, just in case hanapin. Then just tell IO na you'll change passport to your married name pag nag-expire na current passport mo.

Hi everyone. I just registered to reply for this, I know people from immigration and can help you with your questions. I have read a few of the posts here and would like to give my own opinion regarding the officers.

Yes, they are strict. They have to be. Ano na ang mangyayari sa bansa natin if the officers are lax? Yan ang mahirap sa Pilipino, maraming reklamo sa tao, but when it comes to implementing the rules, they would always ask to be excempted.

My friend explained to me that the immigration officers for DEPARTING Filipinos should be very cautious in making their decision. They always have to have a ready reason why they allowed a Filipino to leave the country and be subjected to other countries' regulations. It is their job to PROTECT us. Parang magulang lang 'yan na jinu-judge kung pwede umalis ang kanyang anak sa gabi. They examine our educational background - to judge whether we can be responsible abroad. They examine the people we are traveling with - to judge whether we can be put to harm. They examine the employment background - to judge whether we are capable enough. They call it 'profiling', judging a person's capability to travel. Because there are a lot of cases of human trafficking and human smuggling in Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries. That is the reason why they are strict. Kaya if they ask you these questions, don't get offended. They are only doing their job. You have to prove to them that you are responsible, that you can carry your own, that you are capable. Especially, that you can go back to your country safely. Always think of the immigration officer as your mother, only being strict because s/he cares for your safety.

So please, don't ever lie. You'll only make things more difficult.

Anyway, there are new batches of officers in NAIA now: young, smart, and polite. I hope the corruption rumors will finally be a thing of the past.

^That is true about the passenger profiling. Marami talagang cases na tourist workers, aalis as tourists kuno then pagdating sa destination magtra-trabaho na. So sometimes hindi talaga masisi ang mga IO na maghigpit when it comes to first time/less traveled passengers who are work-capable. They are just doing their jobs I agree on that.

On the side of the airlines, kami then we also profile passengers. We have to specially when they have bags na kailangan i-offload from the airplane in case di sila payagan ng IO umalis. Pag profiled yung pax, any check-in bags nila naka-standby lang then pag nagboard na sila sa eroplano that's the time we load their bags. Iwas delay.

As to corruption, rampant talaga before. Medyo nababawasan na ngayon. If you noticed mga immig counters wala ng mga numbers and bawal na ang naka-cellphone. That is to prevent yung tinatawag nilang "timbre" where syndicates will tell tourist-workers kung saan silang counter pipila kasi dun naka-assign yung kakuntsaba na IO.

With the new IOs in place the bureau is really trying to get rid of corruption. I also have a few friends from the airline business na nag-IO and customs officers na ngayon. They are saying na seryoso talaga ang bureau to clean up their reputation. Sana nga tuloy-tuloy na.

So for our GT sis here, if you have nothing to hide there is no need to worry. Just be honest with your answers to the IO. And wag din kayo magta-taray. Just be pleasant and polite.

^ how do airlines profile those passengers or is it based on the profiling of the immigration? Just curious, ngayon ko lang to narinig and we know some airline people or baka they just never shared that tidbit to us.

I totally understand why dapat strict ang IO.

meron lang akong certain rant to share:
what's with the authentication of Invitation letter for passengers bound to SG? it's not cheap, it's around 42$ plus taxi (hinde commute friendly ang Phil Embassy in SG, malayong lakaran and madalas magtataxi ka balikan), plus need mo magleave pa sa work to go there.
Hinde pa ba enough yung OWWA membership fee plus bayad sa OEC?
bakit may ganitong fee pa?

dito kasi nagsimula ang lahat kaya nauwi sa pagkaoffload ng sister ko. since hinde daw authenticated and letter eh kung ano2 na hinanap sa kanya.
 in the end inaway pa ako ng sis ko dahil hinde ko raw pinauthenticate, napahiya daw siya.
 kuripot ko daw kasi to pay the fee.

eh 4 times ko ng binigyan bf ko ng letter na hinde authenticated during his visits,  twice dun hinde siya hinanapan so fine, twice naman hinanap sa kanya pero walang issue kahit hinde authenticated

Hinde lahat hinahanapan ng authenticated letter, so mapapaisip ka talaga kelangan ba yun worth it ba to pay 42$ plus taxi fare plus magabsent ka pa sa work and all.

anyway, OT na ata ako. 

wala pa naman AKO bad experience sa IO ng Pinas and other countries, bf ko meron sa SG IO nung galing kami Malaysia, yun ang grabe! but it's another story na.
