Immigration officers, how to deal

Kind of scared with DMIA IOs. They have a reputation kasi. Hahaha! 5th out of the country ko na, sana di na ako masyado matanong

my recent flight was via dmia. hiningi ng IO yung office ID ko pero di ko dala. wahaha, pasaway. ok naman, wala siyang choice kundi tatakan yung passport ko. kung 5th time mo na, sis, mas lalong wala kang dapat ipag-alala. sagutin mo lang kung ano itatanong niya. sampalin mo ng pera kung kinakailangan bilang pruweba na may K ka lumayas. lol.

Are there cases when Immigration doesn't let the person pass through kahit kumpleto ang papers, IDs, etc. after interview? On what grounds will they not allow a person to leave the airport? Kapag napagdudahan lang? Just wondering. I'm a freelancer kasi and I want to travel again this time with my hubby for some R&R. Yung unang alis ko tinanong ako ng IO about my work pero nasagot ko naman ng maayos and she didn't ask for any ID but checked my hotel bookings.

Had the same issue last year, I was working from home, got a new passport pa so fresh na fresh at walang stamp, I was going to fly to KL from Clark, yung lady officer, sandamak mak yung tanong sakin, kulang na lang ipakita ko pass book ko para ipamuka ko sa kanya na me pera ako di ko plano mag TNT! Ni-let go niya ko matapos kong ipakita ang itinerary ko, hotel booking confirmation at mga airfare tickets.

sabihin ko sana sis wala.. pero naalala ko yung nakasakay ko papuntang Sg, connecting flight lang nmin preho papunta siyang Dubai and super na-stress siya sa mga IO's.. yung unang attempt nya daw dati di raw siya pinayagan <duda lang daw sa kanya na baka nga mag-TNT>, kayo itong 2nd time OK na.. muntikan lang na ma-hold sya ulit sobrang daming tanong daw at dinala pa siya sa private room. Buti nakalusot daw siya w/ the same documents na pinakita nya nung 1st attempt nya..

kasi alam na rin ng mga IO style ng iba na kunyari tour ang reason tapos maghahanap pala ng work either sa SG or KL.  Kaya tuloy yong ibang tour talaga ang reason ng pagtravel abroad, nadadamay.

Ayos naman pala yung IO na natapat sakin, walang ibang tanong kundi anong trabaho ko, sabi ko wala. tapos tinanong nya kung kasama ko yung nauna sakin, eh syempre oo! magkasama naman kami talaga. tapos ayun tatak na at may bilin pa syang wag akong lalayo sa mga kasama ko.LOL! Anyway Thailand naman kase yung pupuntahan ko nun.

heard today that a friend of a friend got offloaded. she is about to go to SG. reason daw ng IO 3weeks is too long if tour lang agenda niya sa SG. so sobrang higpit talaga ngayon.

wala pa naman akong na-encounter na rude IO so far (wag naman sana). yung last travel ko i went sa xiamen, yung IO na napilahan ko una ang tagal ng usad, i was with fiance that time so pinalipat nalang ako ni fiance sa line niya and pinauna niya ko, IO saw it and said ang sweet naman nun kaano ano mo? i said fiance ko po. then asked me usual stuffs lang like saan ako nagwowork then ok na agad. mas nabuwisit pa nga ako dun sa customs officer na napilahan namin paguwi namin from xiamen, 4 kami lahat and around 10 yung baggage namin malalaki, so she did her random checking. she asked us bakit ang dami niyong dala? so we answered pasalubong lang po puro pagkain lang naman. then sabay tanong na parang mataray "saan kayo pumunta? anong ginawa niyo dun?" ano namang pakialam niya kung ano ginawa namin diba her job is to inspect. nagkatinginan nalang kami ni brother in law parang na-weirdohan sa tanong niya and fiance answered nalang. asar lang pa epal lang talaga. buti sana if she asked in a nice way or even polite way na nga lang. eh ang yabang ng pagkatanong eh. parang feeling IO.

hi! need some advice po.. im going to vietnam po kasi 1st week of august, 3days 2nights lang.. how can i categorize myself if family business lang meron kami.. im in charge with the delivery and suppliers kasi.. it was named after my tita [textspeak!] mga business permit. pero dadalhin ko un original permit DTI, BIR, MAYORS permit. and my hotel bookings naman ako, 2 debit cards, i dont use credit cards kasi, return flight ticket. DIY itinerary, and 1000usd pocket money.. ill just tour around the cu chi tunnel which is in my priority list and the ben thanh market which i want to go to shop.. i will bring my TIN id as well as my tita's TIN ID and orignal NSO birthcertificate.. do i need more pa ba?? na stress ako sa mga nababasa ko parang auko na tumuloy... haaayy.. pag ba mg fly ako via PAL wala na marami tanong? 4 sure if first class ticket mo mababait sau mga officers..

can someone out there help me out:(? been looking for answers wala ako mkuha sa mga blog na napupuntahan ko..

Do you have company ID from your family business? Bring it. Bring din business card mo coz they usually ask. Show them your hotel booking and your travel itinerary. Don't bring mga original important documents coz baka mawala pa like your birth certificate and baka mas lalo ka paghinalaan na magsstay nang matagal.

Basta be truthful sa mga sagot mo lalo na't wala ka namang itinatago at balak gawing masama sa Vietnam.

Sa Terminal 3 usually mahigpit at maraming tanong-tanong while sa PAL never pa ako naka-encounter.

thanks po hehe.. wala po kami company ID since it was a footwear business. we have an accountant and 1store employee. and 5 suppliers. wala din ako business card just planning to bring the original business permit just incase hanapin lang.  business card is like a calling cards ba? ill just bring what is necessary.. ill fly with PAL po ad this is my first time abroad. actually birthday gift saken to ng tita ko [textspeak!] owner ng business pero late ko na [textspeak!] magmit gawa nga ng busy ako sa mga suppliers namin..

ofcourse wala ako gwin masama dun.. nakakainis lang kasi [textspeak!] mga ng travel for leisure lang talga eh damay na sa mga pinaggagagawa ng mga kababayan ntin...

thanks po sofia marie medyo sad at stress na ko sa mga nababasa ko. hindi ba strict lang sila for those who will stay for a week.  nabasa ko din na strict sila lalo sa mga countries like hk, sg, dubai, malaysia and indonesia.. i found this http://immigration.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1252&Itemid=103  guidelines sa mga magtravel from BID..

@ pulsenotfound, you don't need to bring the tin id of your aunt baka lalo kang matanong kasi may dala kang id ng ibang tao. don't bring the original documents for your business and your birthcert. wala naman kinalaman yun sa tour mo sa vietnam. if you want, request ka na lang sa tita mo ng certificate of employment na may approved leaves. naka lagay dun yung dates na naka leave ka sa business nyo.

gawa ka na din ng business or calling  cards mo. pwede mong magawa yun sa computer mo. print ka lang, madali lang naman gawin yun.

ang mahalaga may mapakita kang round trip ticket, hotel reservation and proposed itinerary ng tour mo.

be confident when talking to the immigration officer. kasi pag muka kang takot or kinakabahan, lalo silang mag iisip ng masama.

^naguguluhan ka san? inalis yung previous post mo kya di ko maintindihan kung saan ka naguguluhan.

basta during the interview with the immigration officer, dapat ready ka ipakita yung plane ticket mo na manila-vietnam at vietnam-manila. ready na din dapat yung hotel reservation mo. kung package tour yung kinuha mo, dalhin mo yung mga ibibgay syo ng travel agency or kung saan ka nag book.

Kung wala ka naman hidden agenda rather than go there for travel, la ka dapat ikatakot esp. If you have all the docs.

^meron ba solo package tour sa agency? honestly po.. kabahin tao talaga ako.. kahit wala ako gingawa masama my ganung tendency ako hihih.. yup plain tour lang po talga ako.. first time ko kasi and hindi ko din alam what airline ang sasakyan ko. naguguluhan ako kasi pag naooffload ka sa PAL upgrade to business class or totAlly offloaded ka talga..

sa cebu naman marami offloaded cases... di ko na alam what airline piliin ko.. pero mg pabook ako hotel for my 3days stay.. at return ticket.

^alam mo sis, wag kang isip ng isip ng negative things, yan ang maattract mo. Just relax, be prepared with the docs na sinabi ng ibang sisses like cert of leave, business car, ticket, hotel booking and travel itinerary. Everything will be alright, just pray. Project yourself confidently. Lalo kang mukhang takot lalo ka paghihinalaan.
