di ko lang sure if they are in the same area everyday. he was stationed at the first counter ata katabi ng ofw counter. sorry di ko marecall. but he's about 45-50, di pa completely gray [textspeak!] hair nya pero it's noticeable na. medium built.

hi, mga sis! im a bit worried. punta kami sa HK on dec1-5.. meron na kaming RT tickets at booking sa guest house.

my question is.. pag ba group mahigpit pa rin sila? we're 8 in the group, kaming 3 ng mga kapatid ko (plus our partners) then mom and dad ko who are both first-timers.. magka-problema kaya kami, lalo na my mom is just a housewife..

Hi! For travel to Schengen countries, do they also ask how much euro you have especially if private visit naman yun purpose and not tourism or shopping? How much kayo minimum na pwede dalhin na euro for 2 weeks visit? TIA

i'm going to hk this feb with my friend. medyo naguguluhan ako kung ano sasabihin kong work ko, kasi unemployed ako. it's going to be my 2nd trip to hongkong and my 8th trip abroad. yung 1st trip ko sa hk ay tour with my mom at that time i was a fulltime graduate student then (di pa din ako graduate pero di ako enrolled).

i am trying to recall all of my previous experience with IO here in manila. pero parang yung mga IO sa terminal 1 ay di matanong kasi wala akong maalala.
yung mga IO sa terminal 3 or nung nag cebu pacific kami, mas matanong sila. i really do not get it why they have to look for a company id when you're not really going to another country to work (for the same company that employs you here in the philippines).
pwede kya lagay ko na graduate student pa din ako until now? kasi yung nilagay ko last trip ko last december nung nagpunta ako ng malaysia na work ay sales assistant. di naman ako masyado natanong kasi seminar yung pinunta ko sa malaysia. kaso kasama ko noon yung kapatid ko na inaassist ko.  kaso wala naman talaga akong sweldo.
the money that i'm using for my trip came from my savings from my previous trips. i always save my pocket money when i travel para may pang travel pa ako ulit. 
hk tour ulit yung gagawin namin ng friend ko. so paid na yun dito pero di lahat ng meals kasama sa tour. food and shopping money lang ang panggagastusan ko sa hk tour kaya mga $400.00 lang plan kong dalin kasi 4days lang kami dun. i will also bring my credit cards and atm in case i need more money.

Hi! Me, my mom and my aunt is going to hongkong this jan 14-16,2012 for a trip. Me and my mom are first timer going outside the country and my aunt for 2nd time. We'll depart at Clark DMIA Airport.
As first timer, i dont know what the IO's would ask. I've heard IO's now were strict.
What are the docements should we present? I gave already roundtrip ticket and hotel accommodation.
What usually they're asking?
Please help me.

^^ bring your company id if you're working or your student id if you're still studying. sometimes IO asks for your company id. bring your itinerary, confirmed booking from your hotel if you booked your hotel online.

if you booked a tour better bring the receipt and other documents that the travel agency gave you. when i went to japan with my friends, we were randomly asked by another airport official after we talked to the IO. i think they randomly approached us because we were a group of females. the airport official asked us if we were staying in just one hotel for our entire stay in japan. i said no because we were visiting a province outside of tokyo. i also informed him that we're part of a tour group from manila. i also showed him the brochure and itinerary that the travel agency gave us.

as for the questions, they usually ask the reason for the trip. you may tell them you're going to hk for a vacation, sight seeing, shopping etc. some would also ask questions that are work related like where are you working, what kind of job do you do there. they may also ask you how much money do you have to spend in hk.

and some more, they might ask you (esp. upon arrival sa destination country) how much money you have.  Pero naalala ko nong nagpunta kami HK, wala naman tanong yong IO don.  maybe because di sila masyadong marunong mag-English   Tatak na lang ginawa niya non e.

^nung nag singapore kami dati, yung nasa unahan namin, (girl, solo lang) nag-ask siguro ng money yung IO, kasi nilabas niya lahat ng money niya at nagbilang dun sa counter. kaya kabado kami nun kami na at baka pabilangin din kami. parang nakakahiya kasi pag ganun.

Thanks everyone!i don't have work right now. i resigned last august 2011. i decided for this trip kasi by next month maghanap na ko ng work....so wala ko maprepresent na ID sa kanila.. the trip will be paid by my dad... mga magkano bang money for 3persons ang kelangan ipresent sa IO? nagpapalit na nga ko Peso to dollar para di na hassle...

^^ tour ba kyo? kasi kung tour kayo paid nyo na halaos lahat like airfare, accomodation, tour and some of your meals. yung money kasi dipende kung ano yung gusto nyong gawin.

sa case ko i will only bring $400.00 for a 4days 3 nights trip in hk this feb. tour kami kaya paid na yung airfare, accommodation, tour at ibang meals namin. so food for snacks and shopping money na lang yung gagatusin ko. sobrang sobra na yung $400.00 for me kasi di naman ako mahilig magshopping when i'm abroad. natatakot kasi ako sa excess baggage charge.
 
twice na ako nahanapan ng company id, parehong wala akong dalang company id. i offer them my driver's license, tin id and other id cards to look at. pero di naman nila tinitignan.

nung last trip ko last dec2011 wala akong work na may salary kasi nag resign ako last july. nag aassist lang ako sa business ng sister ko. so i just ask money from her when i need it. sabi ko sa IO sales assistant ako kasi yan yung instructions ng sister ko sa akin.
baka ganyan ulit sabihin ko sa feb pag tanungin ako ng IO.

if ever kailangan nyo mag present ng money, siguro enough na yung $200.00 to $300.00 each kayo or $600.00 to $900.00 yung pocket money nyong 3 sa buong trip. sobra na yan kung sight seeing at konting shopping lang gagawin nyo. pero kung high end shopping gagawin nyo, ang maximum amount per family na pwedeng dalhin ay $10,000.00.

kung mag lalabas kyo ng pesos sa pilipinas Php. 10,000.00 lang yung allowed. so bago kyo umalis ng bahay iwan nyo yung madaming pesos kasi sa opinion ko mas mahalaga na dollars yung dala nyo sa trip nyo.  mag iwan lang kyo ng pesos sa bag nyo for terminal fee, philippine travel tax at money for food and drinks while waiting for your flight. if cebu pacific kyo, you will need your pesos  to buy for  food and drinks during your flight.

off topic: since 1st time nyo mag travel, be sure you have photocopies of your passport and multiple copies of your plane ticket and hotel vouchers. sana kahit tag isa kyo ng aunt at mom mo ng photocopies nun. ako kasi lahat ng bags ko may naka tago na photocopy ng plane ticket at passport ko. para in case mawala may copy ako. meron din akong scanned copy na nasa email ko ng mga documents ko for travel para may back up ako in case the worst happens. noon kasi ninakaw yung gamit ng dad ko sa indonesia, he lost his passport and most of his money. he went to the philippine embassy and presented a photocopy of his passport. naka kuha naman sya ng passport dun.
pagdating nyo ng hotel, get 3 copies of the hotel's business card. always bring it with you. present the hotel business card if you're going to take a taxi or if you're lost kasi nakasulat dun in their own language yung address at name ng hotel.

when we were bound for singapore via cebu pac last year, the IO had a lot of unending questions. naninindak pa na, "maghahanap ka ba ng work sa Singapore?"
we found it really weird, hence i asked them, "what for?"  literally.  should it be their business when it's on a leisure trip, in the first place. 
he then told us (and bf) that if somebody was caught abroad and they're the ones who let that person pass, they're also liable, so that's why siguro the IOs are stricter these days. 

upon arriving at singapore's budget terminal, it's another issue.  they're pretty strict also and we felt somewhat descriminated.  lahat with Ph passport were being inspected and questioned.  i guess it's because, since we don't require for their visa, they really regulate all visitors. 


i'd suggest though, is to act cool, dress smart, and truthful.

na experience ko din yan IO moment natapat ako sa matandang IO and nihanapan ako ng company ID, eh bago palang ako sa nilipatan ko company and di pa nagawa ID pero direcho agad ako dito denmark for training, technically 1st day ko sa company nilipatan ko is andito ako denmark
so nagpakita nalang ako sa kanya ng COE from my company since wala pa nga ako ID, then after a while, may pinafill up na form, tas pinatabi dun kasama un mga iba na tatanungin pa ng IO. So in a way, hinarang nila ako, while yung kasama ko nakalusot naman ng maayos.
Todo check sa Visa ko kasi daw madami daw nagamit nun na fake blah..blah.. pati mga previous tatak sa passport ko (trip to HK at Macau) tinanong sino kasama etc... hay ang tagal ko din nag intay dun ha paka hassle talaga.. nixerox and everything pa ang mga travel docs ko
