If I were single, gorabels ako. I know lang na it will not be really fun for me since guys are really not attracted to my personality. Nayayabangan sila sa'kin.  yung mga male friends ko ngayon, mga dati 'kong naka-argue. ilang ulit muna nila 'kong nakasama bago nila 'ko naappreciate. So, I guess speed dating will not work for me even just to meet new friends. But still, I'd want to give it a try if I were single.

I'll be trying this. I'm one of the people who thinks that joining a speed dating event is a desperate move, pero naisip ko I know I'm not desperate, I'm not expecting to meet The One here, I just want to know how its like, meeting new people which I don't really get to do much unless lumipat ako ng company. And then, after me and my friends will just go out, have fun, talk about the event. Niyaya ko din friends ko. True na parang mas interesado talaga ang mga babae dito based sa mga nabasa kong comments sa isang facebook page.

And for sure it will be charged to experience.

Twice na akong muntik um-attend ng speed dating event.. alam ko yung una e parang naduwag ako and yung pangalawa e nagkaroon ng scheduling issues sa work. I joined once out of curiosity and not desperation LOL!
I was fresh from a breakup and thought of joining to see what I can gain from it.
It's funny because most guys commented, "they let a teenager join?" and I'm already in my 20's.
They found me cute because of that which boosted my ego of course. 
I enjoyed it a lot since I met some cool guys and no relationship was developed because I'm not really after that, though the guys were cute and charming. Some of them, however, became good friends of mine. 
I don't mind joining again in the future.
Tip: don't take it seriously. It's just a date. Have fun and enjoy. You'll meet different types of guys here so take it as an opportunity to educate yourself on the different personalities of people and take advantage of practicing talking to guys and how to be a good conversationalist.
Warning: You'll get called by narrow minded people as desperate but so what? You know why you joined and you'll meet interesting people there and they won't. You'll also meet weird guys but that is why it makes speed dating interesting.

Share ko lang. I have attended a speed dating hosted by date unlimited. Actually yung event before the Feb 23, '14 na ni-post ni onilord. Ni refer lang din ng friend, siguro out of curiosity and hoping na baka makilala ko nga dun si mr. right hehe

Ang masasabi ko, okay naman sya, medyo nakakapagod lang kase ang dami, nasa 15-20 pairs kase and i feel na kulang ang 4 mins. na makausap yung mga guys. Yung mga interested na mag try, i-try nyo na fun experience din naman. Mas maganda namang isipin na na try nyo ang isang bagay kesa forever wonderin' how is it like na gawin yun  And advise ko mag enjoy lang kayo sa event, no expectations hehe

I would willingly try going to one if the opportunity presents itself... So, it's definitely a YES for the experience. I am not so sure if my answer is based on that fact that I never really had to go to one to gain something, so it's more for the experience and the ability to later say, "been there, done that" as opposed to going for a purpose.

Having said that, I did read through previous posts and got curious about: Date Unlimited.
As it turns out, they have another one scheduled for May 4, 2014 (Sunday). Details can be found at their website. Now, time to learn more about this through their site. Ciao!

i joined this nung baguhan pa ang speed dating sa pinas and the quality of dates are good. 2006 pa. hmm..it is fun but was also tiring. talking to 30 guys in 5 minutes!! paos na ako after at sobrang canned na ang questions ko.

there were few that i had a match with pero never ko nakatuluyan. i went out with one guy after that but turns out i only liked him on the speed date itself not after that lol.

so lesson for me there is, its a great practice lang for dating.
