Hindi naman siguro duty pero part of their role in looking after the wife. Ako, I can drive din pero kung available naman ang hubby ko mas prefer ko na sa passenger seat lang ako. Kahit minsan gusto nya din na ipag drive ko sya ayoko pa din mas masarap kayang maging pasahero lang. :)

Given the premise that there are enough cars for each one to drive on their own & both have the skills of getting the job done... Then, NOPE... not the hubby's duty to drive around the wifey.

If the married couple goes out together though, they can agree on who does the driving. The only time that the spouse (not just the hubby) becomes fully obligated to drive the other would be if one becomes incapable or is in a situation that renders it necessary for one party to assume the responsibility of driving. E.g., wife is due to give birth... so parang si hubby na talaga dapat, dba?

hindi naman as a duty..pero ciempre kung magkasama kami si hubby nagddrive , masarap maging passenger lang and siya naman nag-iinsist na magdrive.
pero kapag hindi naman we drive our own car when going to work as we have different schedule.

Ever since, my husband prefers to be my "driver", but I know how to drive din. Mas gusto nya lang na sya kasi mas panatag daw yung loob nya pag sya yung nag-drive for me. I don't think it's a "duty" but kung kaya naman eh why not? :)

hindi naman sa duty pero somehow nakasanayan na natin na ganun lalo na kung isa lang ang car, along the way yung pupuntahan, if walang ginagawa si hubby. depende sa kanila yun. As for me, sweet at pogi points yun.  ;D

Husbands just like to do this but if he has to go somewhere, we should not oblige them to service us.

yes, nakalagay sa job description nila yon - driving miss daisy  ;D
i let/ask him to drive all the time, mareklamo pag ako, nahihilo daw siya sa stop-go style ko, naco-conscious lang ako.  sarap sarap ng pasahero lang e.

No more than it is the wife's duty to stay in the kitchen and cook meals for the family. Pero siyempre dagdag points nga if willling si husband magdrive.

Issue namin ito ngayon.
Well, I dont really drive for very personal reasons known to him. So he picks me up from work, and now he makes an issue about this since napapagod din daw sya. So I said, ok, huwag mo ako sunduin, pero pagdating ko sa bahay, wala na ako gagawin. bahala ka na to take care of your own food and that our kid, prepare his baon and tidy up sa bahay. ako, pahinga na lang ako when I get home. kabadtrip lang.

No. We live in a country na kailangan maging independent kami..public transport is terrible here in Australia.  no family or relatives nearby..both of us needs to work full time so I can't ask him to drive for me so I had to learn. And we have a 5 yr old son who goes to kinder.

Not really a husband's duty/responsibility. But I guess most Pinoy men love doing this for their loved ones.

In our case, I don't drive so it's hubby who does the driving. If I have personal errands or other commitments, if available sya, he drives me to where I need to go then either wait for me or pick me up after. On weekdays, when he's at work or somewhere else doing his own thing and unable to drive for me, I take Uber or Grabtaxi/car to get me around. Most weekends, he drives for us.

Since hubby is always abroad i have become a jack of all trades in the house. Learning how to drive is one thing he insisted i should learn for practical reasons and emergency purposes at home.

Definitely no. Wala kaming driver so kanya-kanya kaming drive. He will drive his car and I will drive mine. Pag weekend understood ng sya magdrive. Nobody set the rule pero naging ganun na lang.

No, its not his duty anymore. But its a plus kilig whenever he drop and fetch me at work even he's tired or wala pa siyang matinong tulog. :)

This is extra pogi point for my hubby! But certainly, driving me around the metro is not my hubby's duty though he loves to do it for me (except if pagod sya). If meron emergency or there's really no one available to drive the car, that's when my duty comes in. Women nowadays are independent na, sabi nga ng Destiny's Child and Spice Girls (Girl Power!!)  ;D

sa akin even if it's my husband duty to or a man duty to drive lalo na kapag may kasama kayo. Hindi pwede kase may husband don't know how to drive and I think he doesn't want to learn it as well.

for me, no. lalo na if the wife knows how to drive. Pero kapag magkasama kami, by default e sya magddrive lalo na i'm pregnant right now but back on those days na I wasn't, share kami. actually majority nga ako noon. ngayon sya na halos lahat. I think when I give birth sya parin madalas unless he's tired :) totally fine with me to drive.

^I like it sis m_lim! I also thought it myself. If duty, driver ang hanap ni wife. If let say, they are both working,  no need to oblige your husband to drive for you everyday! E pano if north and south ang route nyo e di baka ma-late pa si hubby sa work nya. For me, the duty of a husband is to provide for his family.
