luckily i stumbled upon this thread. my story he is separated (not by law) for 20 years na with his wife, and with his second mga 6 years na. he is 61 and i'm 43 and single as in no kids. At first, masaya, kilig factor, tipong ok its not always a princess meeting her prince charming kinda story. We've been together for 11 months na and we've been intimate, although we are not living together. His older son, I met already, ok lang naman civil kami. Ganoon pala, as days goes by, na realize ko na ang kakulangan, it hurts kapag hindi niya na memention ang future namin, nagsimula kasi kami lets enjoy what we have at the moment. pero he always say priority niya ang mapatapos ang unica hija niya from his second woman, that's 2 years from now. Ako i'm waiting na sana man lang masabi niyang, in 2 years time sana tayo pa rin, sana maantay mo ako matapos itong responsibility ko sa anak ko kaso wala. Ang sakit din pala ng hindi siya sayo ng buo, I mean ex married with kids nga eh, so priority is his family atlthough may sarili nang pamilya. Naisip ko na yes, magsasama kami staycation for a day or two then afterwards mag-isa ako sa bahay, ang lungkot. Sakit pa, this christmas season, uuwi ang family niya from bicol and we thought christmas lang sila dito eh iyon pala hanggang new year. So I will not have him for the holidays. Sabi ko nga during that time, I'll stay away from sending him text or calling him. Haay, I hope my next guy will be single at masasabi kong sa akin lang siya.  :)

I'd rather not, there's a lot of fishes in the sea eka nga, mas madami pang makikilala if wala man then life live to the fullest. ganun ngayun ang belief ko. as of now, since I just graduated, I have to focus more of my time and energy sa career later na ang love, pera muna  ::)

Loving someone who will NEVER be yours is a waste of time and effort.
If you know for a fact that there's no future between the two of you, then just stop and divert your attention to other things. It may be hard, especially if you've fallen head over heels, but it'll get harder and more complicated if you continue. Enjoy life and don't settle for less.

101%  True.
Such a waste of time lalo na kung you try to give him another chance.

easier said than done. I am engaged. preparing for the BIG day next year. until someone came. i fell. hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko ngayon. to continue the wedding, go with the flow, or piliin yung isa.

In a man's point of view kaya mahirap ba talaga to call off a wedding?
My ex bf's wedding is 4 months away, ako I have 2 kids already, separated from my partner for 2 years na. This ex bf found out I'm single na pala ulit just this month- few days before my birthday. He said for the past months lagi nya ako naiisip, napapanaginipan, he sent me a message nangangamusta November last year, also for Christmas. Then this month ganun ulit nangangamusta, I always just answer naman na "I'm okay", until he had the guts to ask me kumusta na kami ng partner ko, so I said wala naman na kami matagal na. He went here midnight of my birthday, hindi ko alam, I was surprised when he said na lumabas daw ako ng bahay, nandun daw siya sa labas, that was the first time that we saw each other again after so many years, we went to grab coffee at a coffee shop nearby na may drive-thru, nag-park lang and just stayed in his car to talk, and it felt like we never separated, sabi nga nya parang walang hiwalayang naganap, because after all these years, mahal na mahal pa rin pala namin ang isa't-isa, nag-mahal lang pala kami ng iba pero babalik at babalik pa rin pala talaga sa taong pinakamamahal mo. Sabi niya "I don't know what to do, I am into this wedding". Hanggang ngayon nag-uusap pa rin kami, I'm not sure where this is going, gusto kong pigilin yung kasal, pero naiiintindihan ko na mahirap kasi 4 months to go, malamang halos ayos na lahat, maraming masasaktan at mapapahiya kapag hindi natuloy... Gusto kong sabihin na ieenjoy ko na lang ang natitirang pagkakataon na ito, pero deep inside I want the wedding not to push through, hindi ko alam kung paano, pero pinagdadasal ko na ibalato na sa amin ito ni Lord.

^He has to decide. Call off the wedding now (if talagang desidido siya sa iyo) or regret later.

An ex is an "ex" for a good old reason.

most of the time, it is the thrill/excitement that we chase after.  kaya binabalikan natin ang mga ex only in the end the same issues you both had before will start to resurface. nauuwi din sa hiwalayan ulit pagkatapos.

nasa honeymoon stage ka pa ngayon sis wonder_wave with this ex. i even assumed that you have a low self esteem coming out from a failed relationship and now with kids.  ask yourself if you deserve to enter into another complicated relationship. do you think you deserve more? maybe you just need a friend or family support not exactly a relationship who will give your mind more trouble than peace.

mahal nung guy yung bride to be niya, don't bite into his pathetic stories na ikaw lang nasa isip niya all these years. unless there was a gun pointed on his head when he ask this girl for marriage, wag basta basta magpa uto.

if he didn't have the guts to call off the wedding, wag ka maniwala agad sakanya na mahal ka niya. baka kasunod niyan, prospect kabit ka na pagkatapos.

Short answer is no. Because that's like a dull pencil, there is no point.

This guy has to back out from his wedding. That is, if he is man enough to do so. Not because you should tell him to, but he doesn't love his bride-to-be to resist being with you.

On the other hand, if he doesn't call off the wedding, then he doesn't love you enough to be free and available for you.
Just move on.

Any updates?

Will i keep loving someone who will never be mine? Oo naman, bakit hindi?  :) I may not be able to control my feelings/emotions but i can restrict my actions in relation to this.

My answer is NO!
But, my heart wouldn't follow!!!
How do you unlove a person? I can't seem to figure it out. Been trying my very best to forget and let go. I am soooo tired of loving him. Been avoiding him, tried to get busy, go out, etc etc. I have not spoken or tried to get in touch with him but wth I still think of him most of the time, every freaking day. :( (sigh)
