There are vans na per head and bayad. You just have to wait na mapuno siya bago umalis.

Sayang yung promo ng Anantara until Sept 30 lang. Isa pang option namen is two nights sa Holiday Inn then one night sa Banyan Tree. Pumayag kase yung Banyan Tree to give their 1-bedroom pool villa ng thb20k per night. Mahal pa din pero gusto ko kase ng room na may plunge pool/private pool.

May question ulit ako. Since 11pm pa yung flight namin going back to manila and the check out time of the hotels are at 12pm ano kayang mas better gawin? I've asked one hotel kung magkano yung extension nila up to 6pm ang sabi sakin 200 baht per hour. So mas expensive pa sya kesa mag book ako ng another night. I'm thinking kung mag book ako ng super cheap hotel in kata, patong or nai yang. Im planning to stay in kata and if mag book ako sa kata area ng cheap hotel hindi na namin need mag spend for traspo. If sa patong kami mag book ng cheap hotel we'll spend pa for traspo going there but we will see anong meron sa patong. If sa Nai Yang naman kami mag book it's five minutes away from airport pero based sa mga nabasa ko madami daw basura sa beach doon. What do you guys suggest? Thanks!

^ usually sis pag ganyan, nagchecheck out na kame. try to ask for a late check out din pala. sayang din yung kahit one hour na extension. tapos iwan naman luggage sa concierge para makaikot pa kame. pwede pa magamit yung time for shopping, quick day trips, etc.

^aah kaso Im preggy kaya baka mapagod ako. usually until 2pm lang inaallow nilang late check out diba? mga ilang oras pala inaallot nyo going to airport from kata? ok na ba umalis ng kata 3 hours before the flight? thanks!

^ yes usually 1pm or 2pm lang nga. sayang naman kase sis if you'll pay for a whole night's stay pa. you may want to stay sa lobby or pool side (comfy naman sa mga day beds/lounge chairs ng mga resorts). you can still order snacks/drinks, pay upfront na lang. if you have kids, they can still go to the game room to kill time.

^yun nga eh. wala naman kaming kasamang kids. Ang plan ko sana mag transfer ng cheaper hotel na malapit lang sa hotel namin. Yung 700 pesos per night lang. pero tignan ko din kung ok ang lobby nila to stay until 8pm or kung anong pwedeng gawin.

My friend & I went to phuket last month and stayed there for one week. Super saya!  :)Gusto namin mag extend kasi medyo nabitin kame pero mahal ng airfare ng cebu pac. Ang daming murang hotels sa Kata. Super naenjoy namen magstay sa Sugar Marina Surf kasi stylish yung room, mura and sarap ng breakfast nila. First 3 days namen sa Best Western Patong area kame tapos the rest sa Kata na. Maganda ang beach sa Kata, half day kameng nagbabad kasi walang masyadong tao though medyo malakas yung wave pero enjoy pa rin kame. We wanted to try surfing lessons kaya lang kapos talaga sa oras.

Regarding mga island tours, i would suggest na wag speedboat kunin niyo kung grabe motion sickness niyo kasi medyo windy at ang lakas talaga ng alon, feeling ko mahahati sa gitna yung speedboat na sinakyan namen at mahilo hilo talaga ako. Pero worth it naman lalo na pag nakarating ka sa phi phi island, super ganda! Medyo bitin nga lang kasi parang 30 mins lang stay niyo don tapos move na naman sa next island.

I really enjoyed our trip in phuket, sarap and mura yung food, mababait tao pati aso ang pusa , and super naenjoy ko talaga Kata beach. If i were to go back, i would stay for 2 weeks na..

Malapit din naman yung sugar marina surf pero mga 10 mins walk pa. Mas bago din ata yung Surf than Fashion. Super naenjoy ko yung stay dun kasi  ganda ng room, sarap ng breakfast tsaka mura lang P5,800 for 3 nights. They provide beach towels and mat, slippers tapos King size bed with bath tub pa, fridge is restocked every day with free goodies; can of coke, can of beer, juice box and a snickers bar and water bottles.

Sis, hindi ko sure kung papayagan ka nila sa phi phi tour since preggy ka kasi naalala ko yung briefing bawal daw preggy. Maalon din kasi talaga. Dapat sa cruise ka yung tipong good for 40-50 pax. super dame niyo nga lang tsaka saglit lang kayo sa mga stopover niyo. Yung pumunta kasi kame rainy season, super maalon talaga may isang island kame na hindi napuntahan dahil sa big waves.

sis rushfam, geekgurl is right. bawal ang preggy sa speedboat. possible siguro if you take a long tail boat pero kung rainy at maalon, wag na lang din. siguro book na lang day before para ma-assess kung ok ang panahon. but definitely not speedboat

anyway sis geekgurl cebpac din ba flight nyo? what time kayo dumating ng phuket? anong sinakyan nyo going to hotel? thanks!

yes cebu pac din tapos dumating kame around 11pm. don't worry. madaming shuttle van dun. hintayan nga lang mapuno pero mabilis naman. Medyo nalito lang kame kung saan yung pila kasi yung driver doesn't speak english, bigla na lang kinuha yung ticket namen so sunod na lang kame kasama yung ibang passenger. Hassle nga lang pagdating ng airport daming magooffer ng tour kahit shuttle van lang hanap mo.

book ka na lang talaga a day before kung okay yung weather. Madali lang naman magbook dun.

@ geekgurl may names ba yung mga van? kata kasi kami agad. may byahe naman siguro papuntang kata? worry lang ako baka puro patong yung byahe. saan pala bibili ng ticket ng van?  thanks!

sorry sis..di ko na maalala. pareparehas lang naman kasi mga van dun pati rates halos same lang.
Suggestion ko lang sis, wag ka muna kumuha ng tour sa airport kasi madami sa Kata. Halos every corner nagkalat sa daan. check mo din muna yung weather bago ka kumuha ng island tour.

@geekgurl I forgot to ask how much ang fare sa van going to kata? also, USD ba dinala nyo dun or Baht? If USD san kayo nagpa change ng baht dun? pangit daw kasi palitan sa airport. other blogs naman advise na mag withdraw na lang sa atm sa airport ng baht pero may charge na 180 baht yta per withdrawal. Di ko sure kung magkano kasi sa Patong first stop namen. around 240 baht ata kung sa Kata.
We brought USD tapos dun na lang kame nagpapalit ng konti sa airport para sa van fare. Mababa kasi palitan sa airport. Madami naman kasi palitan sa city proper. May 180 baht charge atm withdrawal fee kaya dapat alam niyo na magkano withdraw niyo para one time charge lang.

since cebu pac flight arrives late night, yung ibang napag tanungan ko online ay may surcharge, + 200. the cheapest i found was 700 baht per way. no deposit needed. the driver was waiting for us outisde the airport and he's driving a fortuner.

paid THB 3,624 for 3 nights, with buffet breakfast. spread is good and healthy. room is very spacious and clean. OK ang bed lalo na ang CR with bath tub. room has balcony with pool view. the staff are efficient and friendly. good location. lively area and near the beach. sulit deal!

i checked around town and the cheapest i found was 1300 baht for a day trip to phiphi. tour guide was funny. hehe enjoy namanyung experience kahit boring yung spots. 
di na kami nag james bond tour. sayang pera baka mabore lang kami ulit. hehe

buhayin ko 'tong thread na 'to. hehe Sharing some info from my travel last June 2017.

I stayed in Phuket town, kasi gusto kong mag-stay sa Memory On On. haha Kasi dito daw yung sa movie na The Beach. Yung room ni Leonardo di Caprio bago sila napuntang island. Pero renovated na yung place. Anyways, medyo pricey for me kasi mag-isa lang ako, Php1650 w/ breakfast.

Nag songthaew (their version ng jeep) ako from Phuket town to Patong,  also to Chalong temple. Kaso nung pabalik from Patong, inabutan ako ng 6PM, wala na palang byahe, napilitan ako mag-taxi, 350 baht! Ouch!

Nag-stay ako sa Phi-Phi Island overnight, para maka-join sa  'Early Morning Tour', to avoid the crow sa Maya Bay. In fairness, kami nga unang boat dun! Madaming time mag-selfie! hehe Nag-book ako online, pero never mind! Kasi and dami namang available dun na same tour, at mas mura pa! Yung hotel ko pala, Panmanee Hotel, medyo pricey rin for me. Php 1650/night, walang breakfast. Wala na kasi akong choice eh. Mahal talaga sa PhiPhi, yung mga mura, grave naman yung itsura. Pero in fairness yung food, may mga mura, may mga meal na for 60-70Baht. Yung 100 ko may drinks na. hehe

Yung ferry boat, nag-book ako sa Phuketferry. In fairness, nag-research ako, pinakamura talaga sa kanila.  From Phi Phi, nagpunta naman akong Krabi.
