^^the main reason siguro na di pwedeng ibalik ang rules noon ay because of pride.  kumbaga bago na ang namamahala so syempre lahat iibahin.  yung nga lang, kulang siguro sila sa time and resources.  appreciated naman na may konting pagbabago (like putting mamasqueak as moderator sa wow philippines thread) but still kulang pa rin. 

regarding advertising, like in my case, akala siguro nila lahat ng blog e advertising na.  most especially to those na monetize ang blog.  e hello sinilip ba nila blog ko? ni hindi nga monetize yun.  tindera ko pero di ko inaadvertise paninda ko rito.  or even to my blog.  ni hindi ko nga na-update yung sa marketplace ko e.  ewan ko kung nandun pa. 

there are a lot talaga na medyo selling ang dating sa isang thread.  minsan yung sharing nila ng info nila, akala na ng mods e selling.  siguro this can be blamed to those other members too na nagpopost na: "sis, please pm me your contacts." or "please pm me your package".  kaya ayun, akala selling na.  though i know yung iba, medyo naging style talaga nila yun.  tulong na may halong selling/advertising.

sana lang talaga clear ang rules ng GT.  ke-may bayad o wala ang pagiging admin at moderator, nilagay sila dyan for a reason.  to moderate and to be fair for everyone.

The reason why rules of the past are no longer used is because they are no longer applicable. Since there are a lot of members who have difficulty understanding and actually following the rules, there was a need to do some changes. And there will be major changes to be done again, starting next week.

Perhaps if members took the time to actually go through the rules and follow them, moderating wouldn't be so much of a tedious task for the admins and the mods.

kase nilagay ko website ko sa signature ko dati but then a moderator, warned me na bawal yun and i should erase it.

^ pwede naman kasi sis if blog lang, pero kung selling site, hindi pwede. kung nagkataon na nagkamali yung mod for warning you, you can reply naman to the Warning received via PM by reporting it sa Admin stating your explanation.

if i'm not mistaken, if people have questions or they want to clarify the warnings they get, they can send an e-mail to the mods/admin. the address can be found in the gt guidelines.

i would agree with one thing you guys posted (but for different reasons)- it might be better if we know who the mods are, just like during the time of the old mods. GTers were better behaved at the time because they knew that the moderators were just around the corner, ready with a comeback if they cause the slightest error. now, a lot of people don't bother because they know they can get away with it. iilan lang naman ang masipag mag-rtm. and frankly, buti hindi pa napupudpod ang daliri nila. lol.

on that note, i found it amusing that the very people who sabotage other members are some of the first ones to feign innocence and sensibility. the gall. funny too that the very lecture they got from other people, myself included, is what they're using now to come across as level headed.

last, i strongly suggest that ALL forum activities, including the ones that occur behind closed doors (reports for instance) be taken into account when dishing out warnings and punishments. you guys are perfectly aware of what's really going on, what the motives of the members are so you're in the best position to tell if a member is more trouble than they're worth. suggestion lang naman

re: old mods. i think we idealize that time because well, it was in the past. but just to remind people, we had the same issues back then. the only thing now is we have more members and less moderators. and at the height of the biggest issue GT had to handle, dun nagkaroon ng mass resignation. GT bounced back naman despite all that. give credit where it's due, that's all i'm saying.

^ same here, naexperience ko rin na andami kong questions na hindi nasagot, recently lang ako nakareceive ng email from someone sa FN para sumagot dun sa mga questions ko. I was told, yung current Admin is bago lang rin, so from the time na nawala sila Astrodiva, nakailang palit na ng Admin, thats probably the reason why nagmukhang pinabayaan tong GT kasi iba iba nga yung humahawak, syempre iba-ibang rules, iba-ibang manner ng pag-implement. according dun sa kausap ko, thered be a lot of improvements na gagawin dito sa GT, lets all look forward to that nalang siguro.

ayun, yung "pride" lang ang sinagot. but other issues/concerns wala.

freeswan: tama ka dyan.  kita mo agad ang mali mo.  ngayon kasi, generic ang messages sa PM, mapa-warning, moderated or muted ka.  so talagang mako-confuse ka kung ano ang nagawa mong mali.  lalo na kung bago ka lang.  aminin, not all are giving time to read the rules.  lalo na pag nakapagbasa ka na ng isang topic at eager ka na agad magtanong or sumagot.

ayun naman pala, bago ang admin.  pwede naman kasi yun sabihin e or aminin.  i wonder why papalit palit ng admin?  ang titigas kasi ng ulo ng mga tao, hirap i-manage. haha!

well, i'm hoping also for that major change by next week as mentioned by the admin.

How does one know if she is being "moderated" ? is it possible to be banned from a thread? i am following a thread i cant seem to access now

me naman i received mails 2x ha warning about "joining" and "subscribing"
natuto na ko dati nung na moderate ako eh kaya hindi na ko nag gaganyan.

dati naranasan ko din ma moderated, kasi lagi daw ako caps lock, then quote ko yung topic, pero matagal ko na din na di ginagawa pero ang tagal ko parin na moderated  , ang hirap tuloy mag post minsan nalalaktawan na yung question or answer mo sa isang forum. nagback read ako ng mga post ko napansin ko hindi naman ako madalas naka caps lock & nagquote ng topic ng iba. bakit kaya?

Dati napansin ko din na kapag may mali ka makikita mo agad kung ano, kaya lang nakalimutan ko kasi ang password ko dito at maging sa email ko kaya nagbago na ako ng email, sayang.

i think yan yung dating issue between the pioneers of this forum and its predecessor. aminado naman sila about the power stripping way back then which resulted to a chaotic forum. gulat na lang ako when i learned na nakailang palit na pala ng admin, so probably the rules were set so that the new moderators would be accustomed to their new task.

serious accusation to ah. mga members ba to na nagoonline lang para magRTM? kung ganun nakakasira ng integrity sa forum pag may mga ganyang klaseng members. label mo nga yung mga to, nang magkaalaman na.

wait, pano mo nga pala nalamang may "sabotage" na nangyayari? nababasa mo ba yung mga RTM? mod ka ba? i guess its just polite to ask since advocate ka rin naman ng concept that mods should be transparent and be duly acknowledged. o baka naman may "friend" mod ka for you to claim that there is a "sabotage" thats been happening.

tama lang naman na pinpoint and mareprimand tong mga to. as to how things are going right now, responsibility na rin natin naman to since yung RTM process mismo yung sinasabi mong sinasabutahe. could you substantiate this allegation?

^ no, i'm not a moderator. if i was, i'm pretty sure i'll know btw, another suggestion: when people edit their posts, sana the original post can be viewed pa din pala ano. the opportunity to rtm tuloy gets lost.

come on, everyone uses the modify button, di naman tayo lahat flawless magpost at once eh. kung meron talaga kayong nakikitang foul sa posts ng iba at gusto nyo maging segurista then RTM kaagad and let the moderators evaluate if valid or hindi ang reklamo.
