usage of DID in a sentence. Nakow ang dami sa FB.

ex. The reason why my dad didn't bought an iphone 4s was because he was waiting for the iphone 5.

did+(base form of the verb) = didn't buy.

did you eat? (not ate)
did you take? (not took)

^Redundant na...double past...what I hate reading: luggages, baggages, and the like. The "s" should be dropped because these words are collective nouns. I hate reading the word "prolly" na short cut ng "probably". I read a LOT of that here on GT.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread pero ang dami ko lang nababasa,even here sa gt, yung pag gamit nila ng "Buck/s" when they're referring to Peso, minsan confusing tuloy, like for example : You can buy these items for as low as 50 bucks,

Buck/s means Dollar/s (Kaya don't use this if you're referring to Peso)

the reason why it's used is because we have no colloquial term for our own currency. it's not formally acceptable, but it's people way of being creative (well, creative in a lesser way since we're not using originals) to not use the word 'Peso' repeatedly.

for me it's a case of--- hindi siya tama, di din sya mali. may mga mabubwisit sa pag gamit, may mga okay lang naman.

on the confusion part, i agree it can create that. pero madalas naman, it's so easy to figure out kung peso o dollar ang minimean based on the context it was used. pag malabo, e di i-clarify hehe
