Maussie, ay not sure kung may lasik nga sa GB5. i think my sister had hers done sa shangrila yata. basta american eye din. wala ka pa bang doctor sa american eye? try mo si dr cabrera. you have to call to to set an appointment. di naman appointment talaga, more on palista lang and to make sure he's available because he might be doing a procedure. nung una, we would see him at his clinic at capitol medical center. tama lang kasi i would pick up my dad from their house in qc so malapit lang ang capitol. pero grabe maghintay doon! naka-ilang punta din kami don and then when he asked for pre-work to be done on my dad for cataract procedure, he asked us to go to shangrila because his partner na retina expert eh nandon. tapos nung gagawin na ang procedure, sabi niya sa greenbelt daw. ay sus, eh pwede pala don. so ever since, gb5 na kmi and never went back to capitol. i can give you the number of his "secretary" if you want. in quotation marks yan kasi all along akala namin secretary siya pero opto pala siya! she's very nice, bic-bic ang name.
how high is your astigmatism? ako 275 both eyes kaya made to order and glasses ko. yung mga while you wait kasi usually hanggang 200 or 225 astigmatism lang. kaya kumusta naman, lens ko pa lang 12k na pero kasi arte ko pa - transitions plus airwear pa.
for my left eye, laser is di na corrective, preventive na lang. my retinas are too stretched because of the very high grade and astigmatism and i am extremely nearsighted so yon nga, di na daw pwede laser. i have to go for check-ups every 6 months kasi i'm a glaucoma suspect also. plus they need to check my retinas every so often to watch out for signs of tears. my dad kasi had a tear in his retina before, ni-laser. parang ang effect niya is nail polish sa run sa stockings - to prevent the tear from getting worse. so yon.
my dad's eyes were 1200-1200 before his cataract procedure. now nasa 100 or 200 each eye na lang. he still wears glasses but at least not as thick as before and now he can see a lot better.
i started wearing glasses at 7 but i was prescribed to wear them at age 3. naawa my parents kasi i was too young daw. so the 4 years i was without glasses, everyone thought i was a natural lampa kasi lagi ako nadadapa, nauuntog. pero kasi kaya ako nadadapa at nauuntog kasi hindi ko nakikita! so yon. my left eye is a lazy eye pala. nag eye patch ako when i was in grade 2 or 3 but for a while lang kasi pag nag-tantrums na ako, tanggal na.
hay, my very poor eyesight is the one thing i wish b doesnt take from me. pero malakas dugo namin. everyone in the family wears glasses. my cousin nga pilot na ang asawa but her 2 kids both naka-glasses pa din eh nalahian na nga ng malinaw ng mata genes.

hay nako. que horror ang grocery bill today. bakit kasi s&r at landmark eh. umabot kami ng 20k, di ko alam paano nangyari yon! 14k lang budget namin per month pati meats na. pero kasi bumili kami diaper and similac eh. sabi ko kasi kay hubby bumili na ng similac sa abbot para mura! and laking difference talaga!
