Travel Apps (navigation guides)

Hello sisses,

I've been lost/separated from my group while on travel/shopping a million times, and just wanna share a tip on how not to get lost, or find your group back.

I use this app called Nakamap (free for iOS and Android), where you can create group chat with your faces on a map. Meaning, you guys know where each other is instantly, you can chat, share photos etc (think of possibilities: sharing shopping finds, looking for restaurant to eat at! LOL). Never get lost again!

So what's your favorite travel app companion?

I don't have 3g in my iPad so I download offline maps of the places I am going to. Plus walking tour guides complete with maps of course. Lastly, I also download transportation systems like the city's metro/subway, bus and boat.

To research on various hotels and establoshments I use Tripadvisor.

And for my destinations I also download the maps, and check if there are interactive maps.  Some train systems also have an IPhone/IPad app, the HK MTR for one, even the Citybus.

Hmm, I haven't used any travel apps on my phone but I do have a Lonely Planet for all of the places that I have been. Nagsurvive ako sa solo travel ko sa Bangkok with the detailed city guide map.

May nakapag try na ba ng offline map na apps? I'm confused kung ano pipiliin ko, citymaps2go or pocketearth?

For my Seoul travel I used Jihachul for my subway guide. Absolutely helpful!

I use the lonely planet app for that particular city, paid some fees though so I can activate it for offline use~complete na with maps and places of interest.

Hi Ladies,
I am planning to travel to North this summer time.. Do you know any app that would help me plan for our travel? We will be travel by land so anything near like baguio, zambales, pangasinan, ilocos, nueva ecija, vigan, sagada and the likes. I've been to iba, subic, anawagin, potipot, pagudpod, baguio. I would like to venture somewhere na hindi common pero maganda. I am not much familiar with other provinces. Laking Q.C. kasi ako then now we immigrated to Canada.. so gusto talaga naming sulitin yung vacation namen dito sa pinas. Salamat po sa lahaat ng sasagot!
