Have you tried booking from AIRbnb. I find more cheaper instead of staying in hotel specially European countries. Are they reliable? safe? TIA

^Yes, we booked from Airbnb for the Amsterdam leg of our Europe trip last year. Very reliable and the city is very easy to navigate naman.

hi girls! after 1 year of saving and planning, our eurotrip is definitely a go this october!:) question lang, whats a good meeting place at amsterdam centraal? i will be arriving much earlier than my boyfriend so mauna na ko sa bnb and ill just meet him at ams centraal. i read na either grand cafe brasserie at platform 1 or at smits coffee house that is right outside the station and is beside the tourist office. my boyfriend will be arriving via a direct train from schipol. saan pinakahindi confusing na meeting place? both of us are first timers in amsterdam:)

Hello Ladies!

Is it easy to take the tram in Amsterdam? I will be staying near Vondelpark and I have no plans of getting the IAmsterdam Card since I have booked tours already.

Here's my itinerary:
Thursday: Arrival in Schipol @10:15am, 1:30pm Sandeman's Free Tour
Friday: 6hour Keukenhof Guided tour (9am-3/4pm), 6pm train to Paris

We went to Amsterdam last year and stayed in this beautiful Airbnb apartment that is so perfect. It's huge, airy, and super complete the amenities. What's good is its being managed by a Filipina as the owner is based abroad.

It's in Oud West neighborhood and 5 min away from the nearest tram. Dami din grocery and coffee shops nearby.

If ever we go back, will definitely stay in this apartment again. 😀

^we started with around 20+something, then halfway through the tour, 14 na lang kami. Magaling yung tour guide, just stick close to him/her para nasusundan mo kahit saan pumunta.

i'm traveling solo kasi and gusto kong sumali sa ibat ibang tours para na rin may kumuha ng pic ko. haha!

Hi.  We will be in transit at Schiphol for 11 hours in our flight back to Manila via KLM.  We decided to take a day trip to amsterdam.

Below is our IT and inquiries:

1) Arrival at Schiphol from Rome 8:50am via KLM

2) Look for the departure gate of the Manila flight (to avoid getting lost when in rush going back from amsterdam)

3) Leave 2pcs cabin sized trolley at luggage locker nearest to departure gate for 6euros each.  (Question:  for those who had KLM before,  we will check-in 2pcs of 20kg luggage in Rome.  Do we claim these in Manila? Or do we claim them in Schiphol  and check-in these again for the 8:40pm flight to Manila?)

4) Leave Schipol via train to Amsterdam Centraal Station (travel time: 20mins) (Question: How much ang fare?)

5) Quick breakfast (Any fastfood suggestion at Amsterdam Centraal Station?)

5) Join Sandeman's free walking tour at 11:15am (Duration: 3hours) (Question: For those who took their tour, where ang meeting place and how far from Amsterdam Centraal Station?)

6) Visit Van Gogh Museum (Duration: 1hour) (Cost: 17euros/person)

7) Leave Amsterdam Centraal Station for Schiphol at 4:30pm

8 ) Pick up luggage at luggage locker.  Explore and dinner at Schiphol (Any suggestion for affordable resto at Schiphol?)

9) Departure for Manila 8:40pm via KLM

We decided to stay overnight at amsterdam since no additional cost with klm if we'll fly back the following day.

It's going to be a more relaxed trip.

^for me worth it in tandem with the other attractions there. We got the Holland Pass so kasama syang free with other museums. But kung picture lang naman pakay mo, you can always walk it. Though malayo-layong lakaran around Singel ha.
