Is Amsterdam family friendly? Most people kase na alam ko nagpunta doon have no kids and they always go to the red light district. but since for us kasama namin ang kiddos so out of the itinerary sya =) anyways, ano pwede pasyalan ng kids sa Amsterdam aside from parks/playgrounds? got anything like a Disneyland or something of that sort na ikakatuwa ng bata?

^Of course! Aside from the canal boat cruises, windmills and parks, your kids will enjoy NEMO. That's their Science Museum. Just do a search of Amsterdam for kids and you'll get a lot of suggestions.

Lalo na if we are talking about dining out, mahal sa restos?  Alam ko kase basta Europe expensive so we were thinking if it would be better if we just rent a flat instead of a hotel room para mas mura and also para may things like kitchenette where you can cook so at least hindi lagi dine-out.

As in anywhere else in western Europe may kamahalan talaga if you compare the expenses dito sa atin. Your idea of renting an apartment is a good one. Cheaper and you can prepare your own food pa. I highly recommend using airbnb since my experience with them since 2009 has always been good. You just have to be patient lang checking out the reviews of the apartments you intend to rent.

Syempre hindi din maiwasan na mag-dine out when you're there di ba? So try to look for restos that are not right smack at tourist central, for sure tourist prices sila. Try checking tripadvisor too for affordable restos around Amsterdam.

I highly recommend Lombardo's. best burger and salad in Amsterdam. It's best to take out na lang coz the place is really small.

Also, there's this really good Indonesian resto near Museumplein. I posted it in the earlier pages. I forgot the name hehe

thanks! i'll backread more.. medyo nakakahilo na e .. ahahaha... kailangan matuloy na itong trip na ito this 2015!!!  we plan one week lang for reasons like budget and first time gumala ng mga bata plus school. which month is better to go sa Amsterdam if you are considering the weather and if madaming turista, april or july? ayaw kase nila nang maulan or sobra mainit

^Between April or July, I'll go for April. Spring time, weather is cool plus di pa masyado matao since school is still on. We went in September which is early fall naman. Weatherwise masarap mamasyal kasi malamig and we had nice, sunny days. I also observed when we visited hindi blockbuster ang pila nila sa mga museums unlike the ones in Paris.

I do suggest visiting amsterdam around March - May.  Just make sure open ang Keukenhof gardens as three months lang sha normally.  If you want to have a picture with the beds of tulip, visit Hillegom.  This is where they grow their tulips in hectares.

hi sisses, will be in Amsterdam next week 4d/3n and will be staying in Die Port van Cleve hotel.. actually wala pa kaming itinerary.. aside from red light district and anne frank museum, wala nang iba.. gusto lang sana namin gumala around the city, any suggestions na pwedeng pang puntahan and restaurants na masarap kainan..

we were able to watch a "show" at red light district, it costs us 35 euro with 2 drinks included.. curious lang kami talaga.. a bit disappointed kasi parang wala lang kwenta but atleast weve experienced watching, thats the most important thing.. funny din at times kasi may audience participation din

planning our first ever eurotrip this 2016  ilang beses na ito na postpone so kailangan matuloy na! We have so many places that we would like to visit. But hubby said since this is our first time to travel outside let us just pick out a place or two and then concentrate on that para hindi masyado mawindang. Also kasama naming ang mga kids na first time din to travel (one is 10 and one is 5) na madali mga mabore/mapagod/magutom. So he wants it to be enjoyable as much as possible for all of us at kahit gustohin man naming na go-go-go (which is ok kung kami lang) or just get lost and have an adventure, he thinks we need to plan it well and be ready to be flexible. Netherlands is one of our choices since we have heard that it is family friendly (and my boy just loves bikes!). I saw this blog list sa net http://www.actoftraveling.com/2012/01/my-5-favorite-places-in-the-netherlands-to-explore-with-kids/  parang ang sarap niyang sundan but am I right na madami kami lilipatan na places? This would not be just a bus or quick train ride? Also, what is the most family friendly way to get around Netherlands? We are also thinking if we can squeeze in LEGOLAND in Germany for this trip. We can put it at the last leg of our trip. Quick lang ba ang travel from Netherlands to Germany LEGOLAND? We are also planning our trip around mid March (around March18) for 10days including travel time. Is this sufficient?? Also, is efteling park still worth the trip? Sabi hubby parang corny daw e hehe... Thanks for all your help!  =)

^sis, alam ko pwede. 5 hours din layover namin sa schiphol airport dati, and advice ng boss ko na mag ikot ikot daw muna kami sa AMS. kaso, kulang na kami sa budget kaya hindi na namin nagawa.

^I love haarlem sis.  Its very quaint and old town sha, maganda ang architectures.  You can visit Haarlem in just half day and it is just one hour train ride from amsterdam.  You can sit alfresco sa mga restaurants near Saint Bavo cathedral.  There's also a lot of museums around.

^Amsterdam Centraal to Haarlem by train is only 20 minutes. But if it's your first time to visit Amsterdam, I suggest stay in central Amsterdam so you maximize your time.
