wants to breastfed but inverted nipple-HELP!

in my fisrt baby, di talaga ako nakapagbreastfed kasi nga inverted nipple ako
i had to use breast pump pa
which is not comfortable at all
saka with all the benefits of breastmilk, sayang talaga gatas ko.. (

now im pregnant with my second baby, and i want to breastfeed talaga
any advice or tips from mommies with same case as i am?

how about consulting with an OB or pedia or lactation consultant who can really check your nipples and provide you with a plan of action?  kasi baka hindi naman sya ganun ka-inverted (meaning, if you use a pump on it before feeding, eh ok na sya) na para maging rason talaga for a baby not to be able to latch...

hi sis, i just want to share, i have this also. my first born is a boy.  talagang ini-suck niya [textspeak!] nipples para hindi na siya inverted.  siguro kasi malakas din siya kumain ng milk.  i am still exclusively breastfeeding for 10 months na.... kahit nagsosolid na si baby
hindi na rin ganon ka inverted [textspeak!] akin.  nagbago na siya.  siguro tyaga lang talaga. once babies get the hang of it, ang galing galing nga nila eh. daig pa nila mag empty compared sa pump. good luck!

You need to use a nipple puller check with your ob or better if you can consult a lactation consultant. I think avent has a nipple puller

share ko ang i have inverted nipples din. what i did i keep on pumping every 2hrs and make sure na nagsuck c baby sakin.. tiyagaan lang sis mahirap pero it's worth it... pag pinapasuck ko kay baby i make sure na gutom talaga siya para major major ang suck niya. tpos pump mo muna bago ibigay kay baby yun nipples mo para medyo protrude na ng onti. make sure hindi pa engorge breast mo pag offer mo kay baby mahihirapan cia feed sau nun..

forgot to mention, the nipple puller pala is used on your 8th-9th month. best to consult a lactation consultant with regards to your dilemma para pagkalabas ni baby wala ka nang problema

share ko lang..I also have inverted nipple what I did is bumili ako ng Avent manual at electric na hello kitty brand pero di effective kaya  nag hand express pump ako at first konti lang nalabas pero sa pagtitiyaga ko ayun lumabas na gatas ko. nagpa lactation massage din ako home service from Asian Hospital yung Rebirth Spa malaking tulong yun para ma stimulate yung breastmilk. sabi pa nung nag massage sa akin on first 2 weeks mahina talaga gatas usually na normal yun on or before 1 months. mag 7 months na son ko and until now hand express pa rin ako, nasanay na nga ako and I could express 30 oz na ngayon per day dati nag start lang ako sa 12 oz. good thing I`m SAHM kaya na career ko pag hand express ng breastmilk. kaya sis tiyaga lang kaya mo yan! and my OB is the one who encourage me to do that kasi sya nag hand express din sya before sa son nya.

Sis, go to a lactation consultant.  To successfully breastfeed, you need to start working on your nipples even BEFORE you give birth so that you don't lose precious time having baby learn how to latch.

MedelaMoms sells nipple formers that you can use a few months before giving birth so your nipples will come out.  You can try that also :-)  My nipples are semi-inverted, but I have been exclusively breastfeeding my daughter for 9 months now.  What I used to do in the first weeks (I didn't learn kasi about the nipple formers until after giving birth na) was to manually pump before directly feeding my baby, just long enough for my nipples to come out more.  Now I don't have to do that anymore.

hello sisses! i tried nipple puller when I had my baby. unfortunately, it just hurts especially that I am lactating and i can't get the nipple produce enough milk for the baby after countless hours. i just stopped it. my baby is also having a hard time sucking it too. my ob-gyn advised me to be patient but it is really difficult.

inverted nipples din ako. pero tyaga lang magpump and magpalatch and suck kay baby. after a week, ok na, baby's comfortable na with my breasts.

I was able to breastfeed my kids successfully even  without the aid of nipple puller.  all those months na nagbreastfeed ako  I just press my my middle and index finger on the side of my nipple to pull it out. Then nakakadede na si baby.
