We were given a go signal by the Pedia to give table food to our almost 10 months old boy. Pero nagdadalawang isip ako na bigyan sya nung nilulutong ulam dito sa house ng MIL ko kasi panay meat yung ulam... :( we tried pasta pa lang and pansit bihon (which i run pa ulit in water para lang mawala yung alat ng toyo), pancakes and cereals (Twinkies by Quaker Oats). I'll try to cook veggies for him. Okay naman yung kangkong and pechay, right?

I'll try ground rice on weekend.

di pa namin pinapakain ng eggs, chicken and fish si baby. ok lang ba yun? takot ako baka may allergic reaction si baby sa ganyan. though yung chicken stock natry ko na for his food, ok naman. he's almost 10 months na.

i fed my baby promina for dinner. Shocked ako sa dami (powder + 150 ml of water). Can a baby finish that much baby food??? Mine didn't. First time nya rin kumain ng ganung food (dry cereals)

^why don't you try the ice cube method? We only cook food for my baby every other day. In a big pot we boil meat together with veggies. When it's cooked, we mash/shred it then transfer it to ice cube trays. Pinaghihiwalay namin yung vegetables and meat and sabaw. Then we freeze it. Come meal time, the yaya will get just enough food na kayang maubos ng baby. For my baby usually it's 3-4 cubes of meat and veggies plus 3-4oz of meat broth (or milk) mixed with dry cereal or rice. We also mix and match the food. For example, for lunch it's carrots and chicken then for dinner it's squash and pork. All of this from isang lutuan Lang.

With my panganay before, I cook food enough for a week since I work full time. I know some working GT moms do the same technique.

as a full time working mom, I also cook every other night. i cook her vegetables with the rice to make it lugaw. then i place it separately into 2 storage bowls, that is for two feedings. Di ko kasi tiwala si yaya kaya ako ang nagmemeasure the amount to give her on one meal. One feeding a day pa lang naman kasi kami, next week we will start twice a day siguro. Then I place the bowls (which are freezer safe) in the freezer. Then the yaya will reheat it sa steamer before feeding. Then derecho na from the bowl, no need to transfer kapag feeding time na.

Same sentiments. With my panganay I do that. But eventually I figured out masyadong magastos yung ginagawa ko. I can't make too much since yun lugaw di na maganda after a few days. Factor din the gas. I ended up using earth's best dry cereal. Flavorless naman so ok Lang. If I give rice, I give the rice that we cook for us. dinudurog na Lang before giving it.

accdg to our pedia. di raw recommended masyadong puree kasi baka masanay and mahirapan kumain ng flakes when its time to give them chicken and fish. so better nga imash nalng rice or make lugaw from whole rice (not ground rice).

It happened to my pamangkin, nasanay sa pureed foods like blended food and gerber foods. Kaya til now she is 2 years old (madami ng teeth) she doesnt take any solids except pureed so kaylangn iblender pa food nya. Nakakaawa din kasi di cya nakakapag enjoy sa table food.

Kami naman nung una pureed food per the pedia. But at 9 months, we started to give more chunky food, per advice of the pedia also.

Ang suggestion niya is to sautee veggies in olive oil or butter then mix in the meat or fish (we gave white fish at 8 months then we introduced beef at 9 months) then mix with rice lugaw. Then mash the veggies a bit so the pieces are smaller.

Sometimes i give na din table food like chopsuey or beef nilaga but we set aside a portion for baby bago timplahan ang food.

^^yes papakuluan until lumambot.. With chicken, get a go signal first from your pedia. Pag lumambot na yung veggies pero di pa malabot yung meats mo, you cam scoop out already the veggies then continue cooking the meats. I don't put salt yet cause the baby's kidneys are not yet mature. When we boil we put mireproix. It adds taste to the food.
