hello, question lang. If mga boiled veggies like sayote, broccoli, squash, kailangan ba lagi haluan ng milk ? and can i already season a little salt when i boil the veggies. My baby is already 7months.

Im excited! My baby's going to start tomorrow her first food :) btw tinanong ko si pedia kung ok lang mag gerber or other brand, sabi nya ok lang pero baka maging picky si baby pagtagal. For mommies na nag ganun, naging picky ba babies nyo?

sis cocoyow i stayed away from processed baby foods like gerber etc... not for the reason na maging picky si baby but i would rather have it that she is eating fresh food made from home no preservatives or any additives. a lot heathier

sis wengerts - ang gulo ba? hehe sorry. ang ibig kong sabihin. after you wash the bottles diba you normally put water on it? sabi kasi ng friend ko pwede lagyan ng ground rice and yun ang gawing water, like 4 oz of ground rice and 2 oz of water. ang question ko is, pwede bang nakalagay na sa bottle yung ground rice or am ba yun? hindi ba mapapanis or masisira yun kapag after 3 hours mo pa siya lalagyan ng milk at ipapainom kay baby? tsaka pag sobrang ground rice, pwede bang ilagay sa ref yun tapos reheat na lang pag mag rereplenish na yung bottle?

Cocoyow, for broccoli, it's best to buy organic kasi walang balat yon eh. i get organic fruits and veggies from the green grocer.

i steam (rather than boilt) then us a hand blender to puree. my baby loves broccoli. not we mish it with carrots or squash pero kahit nung solo pa niya kinakain, like niya.

^ sa alabang but they deliver to paranaque, makati and taguig. I order once every 2-3 weeks and they deliver to my house. They post their price list weekly. Google mo na lang yung blog nila, the green grocer. They're also on facebook.

^ sis wag ka muna mag brocolli, save it for later. recommended first foods ni baby yung binabalatan pa muna like sayote, squash, carrots, potato, etc. ganda nga organic :) try mo yung nagdedeliver kila clueless.

Kung am lang kailangan mo, no need for ground rice?

So di ko alam. Hehe. Sorry.

sis reb, ako i use ground rice. Niluluto din yun, mixed with water. Yung consistency depende sayo..kun gusto mo na ipakain na lugaw at medyo malapot, put just enough water until it reached your desired consistency. --- or yung sinasabi ng friend mo as is na yung ground rice at di na lulutuin?

for broccoli, try to give it when you're baby is a bit older. medyo gas forming ang broccoli.

for meats, we dont puree it for my almost 9-mo old. we just finely shred it. if you keep giving your kids pureed food, they dont get to use their jaws. di sila natututo mag-chew. plus if masanay sila with pureed, mahihirapan kayo to introduce different food textures. siguro when you first introduce meat, puwede puree. but you should gradually wean them off pureed food.

we tried giving chicken to my little boy last week. i was afraid he might get allergic to it but thank god di naman. i boiled a whole chicken breast and a thigh fillet with mirepoix (carrots, celery and white onion). i hold off the salt but with the mirepoix it added lots of flavor. boiled that for an hour. i fished out the celery and white onion before serving it. tip: no need to chop the veggies finely so it's easier to fish it out

you can use the same technique in making lugaw for your babies.
