i have a problem right now. baby is 7months. baby was happily eating solid food for a month (6months siya nagstart). mga veggies and fruits na pureed. then suddenly one day ayaw na niyang kumain nang solid. whether i puree, mash, cut into sticks or chunks ayaw niya. even tried new taste (bagong veggies and fruits) pero ayaw niya. ang napansin ko gusto lang niya kainin is baby biscuit (about half lang nung heinz farley baby biscuit) and bread. pedia said she was teething and this is just a phase and just keep trying to give her other foods. she was even given the go signal for egg yolk and cheese pero ayaw din niya. i even tried na siya na bahala magpakain sa sarili niya kahit messy pero ayaw din. even bought a munchkin feeder pero sipsip lang siya saglit then ayaw niya. what will i do? wala naman nutrition ang bread and biscuits. even tried using the puree veggie/fruit as a dip/spread sa bread pero once nalasahan niya ayaw na kumain.

^^ its just a phase. don't worry. saka under 1yo you should not rely on solids pa talaga, milk pa din ang dapat main source of nutrients nya. giving solids at this age is just for practice :)

I agree, giving solids at 6months to one year, parang practice lang nila. Milk should be still the main source of nutrients. Kaya nga sabi nila dont give too much cerelac or bottled veggies kasi masasanay since they are just being trained at this stage.

ako i started with once a day and i just gave her as much as she likes which is usually 1-2 baby spoonfuls lang then gradually naging 2times a day na tig 4oz na pureed food. ngayon 7months na sya as per my post above wala syang gustong kainin.
sa mga sisses na ganito ang prob or went through this phase what did you do? para kaseng d ko magawang just wait it out knowing na panay breastmilk lang siya kase dapat sabi pedia may kinakain siya kahit papano aside from bread

my daughter is 6 months old na by tomorrow :)

presently, squash na kami. I used the blender this time. With the previous foods kas (kamote and sayote), I just mashed using fork and the mortar and pestle na kasama dun sa baby food maker, may onting buo buo pa na niluluwa ni babay. siguro naninibago sa texture.

But now with the squash na super pureed and smooth (but not runny), nagustuhan nya! nakakaubos na sya as in walang tira per feeding (I usually give 1-1.5 spoon)

kaso, nagkakaron ng reactions sa skin nya with the squash..nagkakarashes sya sa chin, tapos mawawala..then pagkakain sya ulit, nagkakaron na naman :( so far, yung squash pa naman ang parang favorite nya.

May nabasa akong article kailangan daw vegetables muna like, brocolli, potato, etc bago mag fruits, para daw hndi choosy ang tastebud ni baby iwas muna sa sweets.
For my baby we started giving her porridge brown rice + chicken bits + carrots alternate ng oats + milk

Nagustuhan naman nya. kaysa sa mga cerelac.
pero ngayon na 10months na sya pinakain ko ulit ng cerelac, kinain naman.
nalimutan nya na ata ang lasa.

joining.

malapit na mag start si baby mag solid. Cerelac plain daw muna ang pa try for 1 week. Mommies, yung pack carton ba ng cerelac may nakalagay na plain? or Yung wheat or Soya yung Plain?

thanks

^never gave my kids cerelac. mataas ang sugar content. i gave potatoes mixed with milk as their first food

i gave my son tinola the other night. was surprised that he didnt get rashes from the chicken. i set aside a small portion for him before i placed seasonings (salt/patis). later i'm cooking nilagang baka. will see if he likes it too.

i think if mashing / straining food works for your baby, dont buy the food grinder. Mashing will be alright til mgsolids na talaga siya.

^we buy cavendish for the house so that's what i give my baby. when giving bananas make sure you dont give the black seed/stuff in the middle of the banana. thats harder to digest daw

i tried gerber with my baby just to see if he likes it, super ayaw nya! mixed vegetables yata yung flavor. its his first time to taste it, dinudura nya yung food. sabi ng MIL ko sanay daw kasi sa lutong bahay kaya pag bottled food, ayaw nya kasi iba daw yung lasa.

re: bananas, ano ba yung difference if latundan or lakatan yung kakainin ni baby?
