ako naman... i steam the apples pa (I only give papaya, banana and avocado as is) before i strain/mash :)

the only thing i don't strain/mash is banana and the rice/oatmeal cereals from EB packets :D

hunny... thanks for the tip. Kanina ko lang actually na-realize na I can buy a lot of organic stuff at my son's school pala though I have yet to inquire if they sell yogurt (they do this cut up mangoes, bananas, apples mixed with raisins and some oats with yogurt that I have learned to love eating). I saw organic eggs and the veggies naman are staples na there...

I see. Thanks for the info sis. I will try banana. Pero, what type of banana ba ang ok sa baby? Any kind will do?

my baby is 5months 3 weeks now, i started giving her solids last sunday, i cooked ground rice with wilkins then mixed breastmilk. She liked it during the first 3 days, then yesterday ayaw na nya..i mashed a little banana and mixed it with the rice..nagustuhan nya na. Later ill try again na plain rice with bm.

Then maybe sa weekend ill try either kamote or avocado, okay ba yun for beginners?

re: eggs.. May history din ng allergy my kids..as much as i want to delay  giving it, the pedia instructed me to give her eggyolk next month in preparation for her MMR vaccine, a week before daw, to check if she's allergic.

hi sis, nag start na pala si baby mo ng solid. ako gusto ko na rin kaso ayaw pa ni hubby. kasi pag may nakikita sya ng kumakain nakatitig sya. May go signal na ba si pedia or ikaw lang nag decide?

i dont make it powdery. my pedia advised me not to give smooth textured food kasi hindi masasanay ang baby to chew their food. even with my eldest, we didnt give her anything pureed. i didnt have problems introducing her to table food.

thats what my mom suggested din before when we started solids on with my panganay. kaso i prefer na na freshly ground so i bought a coffee grinder.

If ok lang na hindi pala puree siguro i will cook rice (not grounded) then mashed it na lang afer cooking. Then add a little of veggies.

Btw, may good find ako sa sm baby company. Food storage bowl (non spill) Nanny brand 4 sets for  100php. it is ideal for travelling. sa akin masusulit ito kasi i make her food for 2 or 3 days. Baon nya when she goes to her lola's house on weekdays. Di mahirap kasi you don't need to transfer the food in a baby's bowl, pwedeng derecho na siya ifeed doon.

Baby is 6 mos. old. Nagce-Cerelac na sya nung 5 mos. Tapos kanina nag-lugaw yung nanay ko na may katas ng malunggay. Naku, niluluwa ni baby... :( Try na lang namin sa ibang araw.

We bought a Philips Avent Steam & Blend sa Singapore, ang mura kasi. Try namin this weekend gagawa kami ng baby food. :)
