kami 15k-all in all...for 5 days, fares (airport from manila-vietnam/vietnam-manila; bus rides (vietnam-cambodia/cambidia-vietnam) hotel accomodation (vietnam/cambodia) airport taxes; tickets for cu chi and angkor; food and mga pasalubong...

nakakainggit mga sis ang mga expenses nyo! napamahal kami ni hubby sa 1 week naming vietnam-cambodia trip!

^talaga sis? bka naman nagshopping kayo ni hubby mo. kami talagang wala eh hahaha! kung di
ko pa nga pinilit, ayaw pa magpapalit ng more than $100 ni hubby ko.

the 20k pala that we spent, kasama dun yun airport taxes, food, transpo, cu chi tunnel, water puppet,
war remnants museum and hotel. relatively mura talaga siya compared sa magagastos sa ibang country. in
fairness, sinubukan ko ang ban mih before we left. ok naman siya pero hindi ko maintindihan ang lasa. haha.
sayang lang talaga kasi hindi namin natry ang quan an ngon. medyo malayo kasi siya kung lalakarin daw. eh
nung 3rd day medyo pagod na mga kasama ko.

^naku i lost track na how many times nagpapalit si hubby!  to think na hotels were paid by card..shopping lang naman namin mostly for pasalubong. nag-grocery din kami in both countries! (those jumbo "yakult" we just had to take home) ...pero big bulk of our gastos was on food!  sarap sa quan an ngon sis!

just got back from HCMC -- super enjoy! got to crawl until the end of the cu chi tunnel, yey! next time, we'll do vietnam-cambodia naman. thanks to all your advice, we had no problem with taxis trying to overcharge us. super ok din yung stay namin sa bich duyen, both mr. chanh and thanh were accommodating. nag-brownout nung first night namin, and mr.chanh came rushing back to turn on the generator.

shopping at ben thanh was ok -- the clothes weren't really great, and as mentioned earlier, mega-tawad dapat talaga. but their lacquerware and wood crafts were very nice! i also brought home some coffee and a phin filter na rin. i need to be able to make ca phe sua da at home. super addictive!

so is 20k okay na for 2 people. sa bich duyen kame naka check in. 20k is okay na ba for shopping,
accommodation, food and tours?

sis, depende naman kung magastos ka or hinde...

nung nasa bich duyen din yata kami, nagka-brownout...:-) takbo rin si chanh...namiss ko tuloy siya...ang bait-bait nun eh...naalala ko nung nagbigay siya ng baon sa amin nung pumunta kami ng cambodia...nagpadala siya ng saging at tinapay...:-) kasi maaga masyado yung travel namin to cambodia...:-)

my mom booked us at saigon mini hotel 5. ask ko lang how much ang airport taxes to and from? i'm drafting our IT na, check nyo naman po if ok.

may mini-canteen sa cu chi pero basic lang mga food..what i remember is may nagiihaw ng mais...we didn't eat there. pati mga kasabay namin sa tour nagsipagbilihan lang ng drinks. parang stop-over lang naman ito while some people from your tour does target shooting (extra fee if you'll do this)
past 2pm na yata kami nakabalik ng city.
di ba masyadong tight yung sked mo sis sa mga museum?

sis betsyness sis barefoot is right. You'll get back to the city 2pm na. Wala [textspeak!] makain sa cu chi
Tunnel except for grilled corn, beef balls and ice cream. Hehe. I'm sure sis na when you get back to the city, the
Fist thing you'll want to do is to eat. although on our way home from cu chi, the bus can drop you off sa corner
Near the war remnants museum so i think pwede nyo na lang un after cu chi then hanap kayo ng makakainan.
Magkakalapit lang ang reunification palace, notre dame and post office so why don't you do that na lang sa 2nd day?
Bka kasi pagod na kayo galing sa biyahe.

tama sila sis, di ka naman ganun magugutom sa cu chi...water is fine for a break...but to really eat a lot, pag-balik niyo na lang ng town proper...alala ko yung war remnants museum na yan, ang unang rinig ko at yung friend na kasama namin, eh "water", kaya windang kami nung sinabi nung tour guide, kung sinong gustong bumaba dun...tapos sabi ni sister, hello, war remnants...:-) paano kasi, yung pag pronounce nila ng "r" parang nawawala...:-)

yung war museum, reunification,people's committee bdlg, post ofc, notre dame, ben thanh- magkakatabi lang ito...i mean, parang isang ikot lang siya...in one day, magagawa mo lahat yan...

sis betsyness kami after cu chi we alighted at pham ngu lao. ikot ikot saglit then we walked to ben thanh na (pho2000 for a bite) to buy pasalubong. then we walked to this mall i forgot the name. then saigon tax trade for grocery shopping. then hotel to rest before going out again at night. baka gusto mo ganun na din gawin nyo?
AM cu chi tunnel tour
2pm lunch and shopping
then back at the hotel for a little rest
then go see the water puppet show

Okeee...Also regarding the forex...magdadala kame ng dollars lang eh. san ba pwede magpapalit?

^sis papalit ka muna ng onti sa airport when you get there like $50 or $100 lang muna. tapos sa bank ka dapat magpapalit ng iba
mong USD. sila yung may pinakamagandang rate. =) there's a bank near bich duyen along le loi road lang.
nakalimutan ko name basta color blue yung sign niya haha. ask mo na lang yung receptionist ng hotel.

kay chanh lang din kami nagpapalit ng peso at dollar. mayaman si chanh!

kami we exchanged $50 sa airport. then sa hotel na. nung naubos sa money exchange lang na nadaanan namin. then nagpapalit ulit kami sa bank sa pham ngu lao...pero accepted naman everywhere yung $..taxi, resto, even sa ben thanh..yun lang pag may sukli ka eh dong na ang matatanggap mo.
