for phnom penh, sa killing fields and s21 lang kami pumunta. sumakit ulo ko pagpasok namin sa s21. sobrang bigat ng feeling. but for me, it's something na you shouldn't miss. then after that, we bought happy pizza for dinner and ate it inside our room na lang LOL isa rin to sa wag niyong palampasin haha

marami ngang nagsasabi na mabigat ang feeling pagpunta sa phnom penh...i guess nga kasi nga yung area na yun eh talagang maraming namatay...yung isang student nga ng nanay ko, pumunta sila dun, parang feeling nila, may kasama raw sila sa hotel...hay kaloka...nawindang ako dun...LOL

there's nothing much to do but be in Ho Chi Minh pala pag 3D2N lang. i'll tell my friends. ang sabi kasi nila, unahin yung malalayo during the first day, huli na yung sa malapit sa district 1.

mukhang CuChi lang yung malayo. check ko din yung Damsen Waterpark as you suggested sis Gladz. Nabasa ko yung Quan An Ngon, si sis port80 ang unang nagsabi na nasarapan siya sa food dun. And thanks for Le Loi... hahanapin namin yan for the Trung Nguyen coffee

Ano highly recommended restos nyo aside from Quan An Ngon and Pho2000? May recommended relaxation areas din ba kayo? (spa, games, theater shows, etc)

tanong lang diba yung le loi parang main road? parang naalala ko yung street na yan...marami ngang trung nguyen coffee nga...di kami nakapasok, di ko matandaan kung bakit...LOL...puro kami kasi sa convenience store, kasi sa sobrang pagod sa kakalakad...naalala ko bumili kami ng ice cream...LOL...marami ring korean ice cream sa vietnam, kaloka...

maganda naman ang saigon sis, alam ko mae-enjoy niyo dun...:-)

sis I forgot to mention the water puppet show! hope you won't miss this. 3--minute show, several shows in a day kaya lang you need to book yata 1 or 2 days ahead [textspeak!] madaming nanonood, so I suggest ito yong una nyong puntahan to get ticket for the next day...It is at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai st..google mo lang sis water puppet show at hcmc para makuha exact address then show it to the taxi driver yong address mismo wag yong name ng show na english [textspeak!] di nila maintindihan or ifyou can get sa google ng vietnamese term niya, better.

oo nga pansin ko nga ang mga taxi drivers diyan sa vietnam, dapat yung mismong address ang ipakita mo, pag sinabi mo yung name di nila ma-gets...:-)

LOL...may tama ka diyan...naalala ko nung hinahanap namin yata si jollibee nun, hay naku, pinakita na namin yung map nun ha? at tinuro yung street, kasi di kami sure kung paano i-pronounce, abay, hinde pa rin nagets yung nasa map,kasi iba yung yung old name ng street na alam nila...aigoo talaga yun...LOL...

pero it pays din to really have a map with you...ang mga pinoy kasi pansin ko lang pag nasa abroad, di gumamit ng map tlaga...pero kung pansin mo yung mga europeans and americans, talagang may map silang dala...eh kasi kami, sanay din kami na laging kumukuha ng map sa airport, kasi nga, mas madali kung may dalang map at ituro mo na lang yung place, kaso kung mali din naman yung name ng street at yung tinanungan mo eh, no read no write, patay na...LOL

we're going to HCMC din sa august. i'll back read sa previous threads kasi 3D2N lang kami aug9 yung alis (midnight flight-CebPac) so madaling araw na ng aug10 yung dating namin don.

I have some questions po,
-Malayo ba yung hotels sa airport (City Proper to airport?) kasi problem ko pag walang airport service yung hotel baka mahirap (or mahal) mag-cab e.

-any nice 3star hotels that you can suggest? backpackers pa lang yung nabasa ko from this thread e. i'll bring my 1y.o son kasi baka mahirap pag backpackers kami magstay

^the airport is just a few minutes away from the city center... probably around 10-15 minutes away?  You won't have a hard time getting to the center from the airport, don't worry about it =)

If you'll be taking your baby with you, it would be a good idea to get a tour guide.  We got our own guide, private car and driver and it was very convenient and price is reasonable too =)

we had our $ exchanged to dong at the airport. When we went there (June 3-7), ito yung nag ooffer ng best rates. 2 forex lang naman paglabas ng airport, itong Eximbank ang napili namin ($20 lang pinapalit namin).

please give us IT for our hcmc-cambodia. we'll be arriving 12:00am at hcmc tuesday morning, then leaving 11:30pm saturday, but will be arriving 3am sunday. gusto namin puntahan mga possible na pwedeng puntahan. dadaan din kami ng phnom penh either way. ano po best route? thank you. :-)
