Hi! nagpabook na friend ko sa Bich Duyen. Punta kasi kame ng August sa HCM. Pwede ba magrequest ng room kay Mr. Chanh? Ano pinaka okay na room, what floor at yung okay na view sana. What room number para marequest namin if pwede. Thanks!

pwede naman yata sis magpa-request...kami nun, parang second flr yata kami...pero nung pagbalik namin from cambodia, nasa 5th flr na kami, pahirap yun, since walang elevator...LOL...kasi di namin napa-request agad yata na the same room pa rin kami pagbalik...:-)

^ kami sa 2nd floor din but we got the cheapest one for USD 17 without windows.

i think ang view lang naman e yung katapat mo na guesthouse since bich duyen is located in an alley and ang guesthouses dun e tapatan. any sisses care to confirm?

^yes, parang wala ka naman yatang view. yung pader lang. we got a room with window pero pader lang din ng ibang guesthouses ang view namin.

help! thinking of adding cambodia to our IT (magextend na din ng days). if unahin namin yung cambodia but our flight is mla-hcmc di ba mahirap to find a bus to SR? where to look for the bus? do we have to go to district 1 pa or meron na near the airport? or should i book online para sa bus? naguluhan ako sa website ng sinh tourist eh...lito na ako whether to stay muna sa hcmc for 1 day so we can book our bus to SR then travel the next day to SR or to go directly to SR on our first day stay for 2 days and spend the rest of our vacay in hcmc..help!

^you're welcome...pero vietnam lang yung trip mong yan? di kayo pupunta ng cambodia? try niyong dumaan, kahit sa angkor lang...UNESCO heritage kasi siya...and worth the trip...:-)

@sis barefoot, kami kasi nun...nag-vietnam for 2 days then nagpabili kami ng bus ticket sa manager ng hotel namin, yung bus ticket namin, balikan na yun...we were supposed to stay at cambodia for 2 days or 3 days yata, pero we cut it short since angkor lang kasi ang pinuntahan namin...then remaining days namin ikot ulit ng vietnam...

Ahhh...parang may nakita kasi ako na photo na parang may overlooking sa city. hahaha. san ba yun, baka hindi bich duyen yun hehe

thanks sis yby2476. plan ko kasi now after landing eh bus trip to SR na. buong araw na byahe ito. (luluwas pa kasi kami to go to naia, then flight, then bus to SR) good luck sa amin.

yun nga worry ko baka mahirapan kami maghanap ng bus.
hopefully may iba pang sumagot sa question ko.
otherwise baka nga stay kami 1 day muna sa HCMC just to book our bus tickets.. then SR. then PP. at balik uli sa HCMC..i'm thinking 1 week kasya na lahat.
sa mga vietnam-based sis natin enlighten me pls.

^naku sis, mahirap yang gagawin mo yan...we have a set of friends na ganun ang ginawa...dire-direcho fr manila-vietnam-cambodia...pagod na pagod sila...hinde naman mahirap maghanap ng bus...yung sa backpacker's area, puro bus terminals or rather bus offices yung mga katabi...its just a walking distance from ben thanh market.

fyi, the bus drive from vietnam to cambodia is roughly 12 hrs, manila to vietnam air flight is 2 1/2 hrs...if you are using a cebu pac, so darating ka dun ng madaling araw...you have to wait pa till 6am para makasakay ng bus ride...first trip to cambodia yata is around 7am...may atleast 3 hrs kang waiting time from the airport to the bus ride...yung mga friends namin, nag-stay na lang sila sa malapit sa bus terminal, yung 24hrs na pho restaurant sila nag-stay yata,habang hinihintay ang pag-open ng mga busses...pero may ticket na sila nun, kasi kasama na yata sa booking nila or bumili yata sila, di ko matandaan, basta ang alam ko, hanap sila ng hanap ng bus terminal nun, kasi windang sila, di nila akalain na ganun ang magiging biyahe nila...eh nagkita na lang kasi kami sa bus terminal...nauna kasi kami ng 2 days sa kanila..

teka sabi pala ng sis ko, may online services ang mekong delta express bus, check out mo na lang, you can buy it there, ganun pala ang ginawa ng mga friends namin, tapos yun lang nga, since dire-direcho sila, nawindang lang sila sa paghanap ng bus terminals...the bus terminals are in district 1, i guess sabihin niyo na lang sa taxi na dalhin kayo sa mekong bus terminal, ipakita niyo na lang yung ticket, and yung mismong address para hinde kayo iligaw.

-kung gusto mo ng magandang view, dun ka sa downtown...i mean, dun sa malapit sa mga ritzy hotel sis, kasi maraming view dun, yung malapit sa notre dame and post ofc...dun sa backpackers area, walang masyadong view dun...

parang naenganyo nga ako na magtrip na rin sa cambodia kuna andun na lang din, backread na lang ako kung pano bumili ng ticket, plan ko sana from manila-hcm then cambodia na.. heheh.. mahirap pala accdg dito sa thread dapat mag stay muna kame kahit 1 day sa vietnam para makapahinga sandali and [textspeak!] pag book ba sa bus sa mga hotel lang gagawin?

sis yby2476 we're not flying cebu pac. horror ang time eh! we have no tickets yet as im still waiting for hubby to get to pinas next week. pero baka i won't wait for him na lang and just book it myself. next month na kasi yun target namin. as he only has limited vacation time. i'm thinking PAL. decent ang oras. 9am ang arrival ng HCMC. am thinking if mabilis naman sa airport maybe 10:30-11am nakasakay na kami ng bus and mga 11pm nasa SR na kami...

@sis kiaramae-pwede kang magpa-request sa hotel for booking for the bus, or pumunta ka sa mga bus ofc, malapit lang kasi siya sa hotel namin, or book online...yes, pumunta na rin kayo ng cambodia, malapit lang naman, i mean well 12 hrs is long, pero atleast, andyan na siya, cambodia is worth it...:-)

@sis barefoot, so PAL ka rin..good...LOL...sorry biased din ako sa PAL...nung pumunta rin kami PAL kami, mga lunch time yata kami nakarating, pero kasi kami nun 2 days pa bago kami pumunta sa cambodia...what you do na lang, is book online for the bus ride, para wala ka nang prob...basta bigyan mo ng allowance yung pagdating mo sa airport at paglipat sa bus terminal...btw, 1 hour advance ang vietnam time ha? baka malito ka...

how much airfare sa PAL? nagcheck ako yesterday USD762 [textspeak!] price one way lang.. almos Php10k ang roundtrip..

naggagawa ako ng IT kaya lang di ko alam kung pano umpisahan.. plan ko is pagdating sa HCMC rest muna or konting ikot tas tsaka mag byahe papuntang cambodia.. kahit one day lang kame dun pano pala [textspeak!] gamit namin san namin iiwan? or anong hotel ang mura na pede namin pagstayan sa cambodia?

sis Gladz thanks so much for your help. we finally booked with Mini Saigon Hotel in Bui Vien. Can anyone suggest a good IT for our 3D2N stay? We're flying out June 3, 11PM MNL-SGN. We're interested in great sceneries and architecture (baka dapat nag Hanoi nalang kme ano?).

Ano bang Vietnam Cities ang feasible puntahan during our first 2 days of stay? How long ang CuChi Tunnels na tour? Balak namin palayo then palapit. Yung Day 3 namin, we'll spend it sa nearby spots within our hotel's vicinity. Interesado din ako sa Hue. How many hours siya from HCM?
