Hi sisses. Will be heading to Prague in 2 weeks and I've read most of your suggestions. We will be staying in Hotel Julian which is located in the city center. Since somebody mentioned na the streets are cobbled,  I will better wear low-heeled boots. Aside from the tourist spots, anybody been to the Fashion Outlet Arena? Is it worth it na puntahan?

Going to Prague next April for 4 days although hapon na kami darating sa first day. At least spring na so days will be longer. We booked a hotel sa Prague 1. I'm excited dahil husband said its his one of his favourite cities! Learned a lot dito sa forum.

Currently in Prague again, this time for NYE celebration Been snowing and big Christmas tree in Old Town is still lit up. Prague is love!

hi mama squeak, i read you rode an overnight train from amsterdam to prague. where did you book it? it is on bahn.com? and you booked it how many months in advance? thanks

Hi, rowan, yup we used the DB Bahn website (City Night Line train) and opted for e-tickets but this was way back in 2012. We got our tickets 3 months before departure when 1st class tickets were discounted (same price as regular 2nd class fares).

Late na post. Enjoyed our Prague trip last April. Super super ganda ng Prague. Definitely one of the most beautiful cities i've seen. Our itinerary below.

Day 1 - arrived in Prague late afternoon. Went to Old Town Square and had drinks in a bar in front of the Astronomical clock. Mahal sa area na ito, we paid around €5 for drinks, but if you go sa side street you can get drinks for €2.

Day 2 - Charles bridge and football match in the evening.

Day 3 - We went up the Astronomical clock building. Prague Castle.  Pubs.

Watched the opera 'Carmen' in the evening. I enjoyed this. It wasnt that expensive too, we paid less than €30 each and we had our own box. Sa may gilid banda but you can still see the whole stage.

Day 4 - Jewish quarter. Flight home late afternoon.

Not sure what Astronomical clock does every hour, we saw it at 8pm and 12noon, it just rang. I thought may something else pa.

We stayed at Perla hotel. Nice hotel, good breakfast, near Wenceslas square and old town square and good wifi.

Oh and cheap ang Pandora.

^At the Astronomical Clock merong procession ng 12 Apostles every time the clock tolls on the hour. Bubukas yung small door on one side then lalabas yung mga Apostles. Walang lumabas when you were there?

Can anyone please share estimated cost of staying in Prague (food, transpo, fees)? We are a family of three. We plan to stay around 5days.

^prague is a small town, feeling ko around the size of bgc you can walk everywhere! but there are hills so there are times you will climb

prague - munich - vienna. mala-amazing race hopefully kayanin. If not, i can skip 1 country.

you think better I avail of the tours na lang ano? mag-isa lang kase and kinda scared to be honest.

^I say DIY it pa rin. You can join the free walking tours to orient you then go on your own. Prague is a compact city and easy lang to go around (public transpo is so convenient!). It is also a relatively safe place to visit. But having said that you still have to take the usual precautions.

Hi mamasqueak and sisses who have travelled to Prague...

I just want to ask if you can recommend any travel agency who can customized our tours. We're thinking of doing Prague-Vienna-Budapest for April next year. Now, it's choosing between Greece or this route. We did Central Europe last year and we joined a packaged tour for 15 days, full-board. I am travelling with my senior parents and my mom preferred na everything is prepared, coaches, food, etc. So far, haven't seen any tour na Prague-Vienna-Budapest. Ayaw rin namin ng masyadong matagal, max 10 days siguro kasi hirap rin maglakad si mommy. So my questions are

1) kung DIY talaga, marami bang lakaran kung within Prague and Vienna? Is it easy and convenient to get a ride there?
2) Are there optional tours/transfers that we can join when we get to those cities?
3) If you know of a local travel agency who can help customized our tours, much appreciated rin.

^sis, alam ko usually mga fixed package tours yung mga ino-offer ng mga travel agencies. Fixed kasi yung schedule/route ng mga tours. If you want to customize your tour meron naman but it's going to be expensive might as well DIY it.

If you decide to DIY your trip, kaya naman but you really have to be patient in planning since you will have to consider your parents mobility. One option is hiring a guide and/or car with driver at your intended destination/s. Prague and Vienna are both walkeable cities, puro lakad talaga though convenient yung public transpo nila. Pero puro lakad talaga especially within their old city centers that are pedestrian zones only.

Yes, there are local tours you can avail when you get there. Just check the tourism board of the destinations you plan to visit. Dito na nga lalabas yung planning mo. It's easier to DIY trips nowadays since halos lahat nasa internet na. Tyagaan lang talaga.
