Hi mga sis! May nag-try ba sa inyo pumunta sa Manila Hotel last weekend sa Open Day ng Qatar Airways? I went there and fortunately, I got in until sa last stage which is final interview. Nagwoworry lang ako kasi walang tinanong sakin. Nag-expect ako ng questions like why do you want to be a flight attendant ganon. Pero ang sabi lang sakin ipakita ang scars. Sobrang bilis lang din pala less than 10 minutes siguro tapos ang sabi samin wait na lang daw for 2 weeks or more.

I remember trying out for pal before.  They were very strict, my friend got in and i just waited nalang for her hehe.  I heard cebu pac gives minimum wage plus commission for the flights you can take.  You can earn 30k to 50k a month daw.

It's my second time to send in my resume via jobstreet sa Cebu Pacific. Nagbabakasali pa din na maging FA. yung unang beses mga 7 months ago na. andaming nag aapply sa jobstreet sa position na yun. chances of getting hired ay parang malabo na sa kin.

Wag kang umasa sa jobstreet girl. Believe me, they dont check those CVs sent online. Im a recruiter so I should know. We only check the online sites if gipit na sa applicants. Last resort kung baga.  Kaya mag walk in ka. If you will notice sa jobstreet ad may details doon how to walk in. O pumunta ka sa Open Day nila. Goodluck

Cebu Pac is hiring! I'm assuming uber strict sila sa kakinis ng applicant. feel ko rin na I wont make it, kase height ko is 5'2 lang tssk

Marami ako kilala na average lang naman pero nakapasok sa open day nila last year sa clark

I didnt make it sa Cebu pac airlines open day. Like 5 mins in and out. I arrived mga 15 mins before the cut off ng CV. (1PM)

I wasn't sad na I didnt make it, I was just sad that I didnt know why I failed. In Qatar open kase sila, I failed because of the arm reach and was explained why it was necessary. Sa Cebu Pac, daming kyeme na theyre not allowed to disclose why an applicant was rejected. I wonder what mine was to be honest. Because if I got rejected sa height, then I keep trying, I'm wasting both our time.

Do we have a politically correct term for pangit? Or your face is not good enough to represent the airline? haha baka kase may OA na applicant.. My scars? Do I have a strange body proportion? Are my teeth weird? Is my smile crooked? I'm suspicious na it's my height, but I will never know...

 Because I would understand too.. hehe! Man, I just wish I knew someone straightforward, honest.. parang yung mga critics ng Miss Universe/Philippines who can tell me what I can improve on sa looks ko. oh well... You know kase friends and loved ones sobrang supportive and they make you feel perfect, and forget you have physical qualities to improve on. hehe!

^Hugs sis. Don't lose hope just yet. Honestly, mas mahirap pumasok sa local airlines to think hinde naman malaki sweldo. One of my former trainees was accepted in Saudia after trying almost all airlines. Lahat ng leaves sa work non were spent in attending open days. She also did all things possible to work on her physical appearance -- lasik eye surgery, fractional laser (mejo malalim acne scars nya) but she would always fail the impact interview because of her skin. Then there came Saudia open day and she finally bagged her dream job.

I think Saudia Airlines isn't as strict as the others. A common friend has been an FA there for a long time and it has long puzzled me because she is the opposite of the typical physical requirements of FAs. She's on the heavy side and her teeth are really crooked. Charming naman face nya and she's tall but my friend told me that she got in because her sister works as a senior purser for Saudia.

^ yes sis, I won't. Thank you for the encouragement. I'm only on my 2nd try after all I heard nga na mas mahirap yung local kesa yung middle eastern airlines, pero tbh, di naman ganun ka stunning yung FA's ng Cebu Pac na headturner talaga so not sure what they're looking for hehe (I was on some CebuPac flights and I really dont remember a face So definitely hindi sa kagandahan...) But I remember kilala ko, di naman ganun ka pretty, crooked teeth, 5'1 lang ata yung height, pero makinis and maputi siya, and she got in But she does have a sister in Cebu Pac. Better try again next time!

Ako ang na-notice ko ang pretty ng mga FA's ng AirAsia. Unlike sa CebPac di lahat pretty. One-time nung pa-Cebu kami may isinabay na mga FA's sa flight namin, yung isang FA maliit lang siya and may medyo may katabaan. Tinuro ko pa nga sa officemate ko yun sabi ko pwede pala yung ganun mag-FA.

^ hindi daw beauty hinahanap sis. hehe even sa OD ng Cebu Pac, the ones who made it di naman pretty.. umm.. okay lang. That's why I dont know ano yung hinahanap nila hehe
And I agree, may nakita ako mga chubby and short... there was this one tall FA sa flight namin siya lang palagi kumuha ng stuff sa taas kase siya lang ang tall enough. Weird. hehe

It has been a while. ou nga tama c sis. hindi nila pinapansin ang post sa jobstreet. kayo ba sis, nung nag apply kayo currently employed pa din kayo sa ibang job nyo o dapat wala ng commitment?

ilang araw ang process ng application nila consecutive 3 days ba pagka nakapasa ka sa day 1 and so on? balak ko pa ding i try, pero habang nagwowork

don't know if this is off topic, but is anyone here a former FA? I quit my job na from middle east dahil I'm exhausted and homesick. gusto ko lang magka idea kung ano nang ginagawa ng mga ex FA's ngayon kasi I'm lost na kung anong gagawin sa life haha

Me! I was a flight attendant in ME for 7 years and most of my friends including me who quit are now in sales specifically insurance and real estates or both plus side business/es. I manage a small cafe while being  a full time Financial Advisor with Pru Life UK and I love it! Hawak ko kasi oras ko and I'm not stuck to an 8-5 job . Hindi ko kasi talaga kaya nakaupo or confined in an office the whole day.

Ms Lychee, if you hide it with concealer, the better. I was with Ceb for 11 months lang and it was ages ago hehe but what I remember during the whole application process, they let you walk and look in your legs din but not close up like sa face so pwede makalusot. Nung time ko, maraming bumabagsak pagdating sa group discussion saka sa personality test.
