my ka batch ako grad and pasado sa pag ka nursing nag apply siya ng FA and na shocked ako natanggap ang lola mo! pwede pala yun noh?

alam nyo ba kung ano yung recruitment agency ng ETIHAD here in manila? wala kasi silang assessment day dito sa manila, based on their site so baka may agency sila dito. lets make a list ng agencies ng airlines

Hi Girls. I was a cabin crew sa Qatar Airways for 3 and half years. Kakaresign ko lang last month. Napagod na ako. And very much happy to retire my wings. Nakaipon na ako enough para maka enroll sa makeup school sa LA, I am leaving na next month. Anyhow, for all the girls here na gusto mag-apply especially international airline just because you're just thinking about the glamour and travel and all the perks.. YOU ARE DEFINITELY WRONG. Yes the salary is overwhelming. Pero hindi madali. Pero very nice experience talaga. You'll meet 100+ nationalities. Travel around the world. Breakfast in Paris, lunch in Bangkok, dinner in Greece! Hahaha. Pero, it's not walk in the park. You really have to work your pretty ass off down to your toes. Especially with QR. So goodluck with all the aspiring FAs here!

Hindi naman bawal, you can use contact lens or eye glasses... 475 nga ang eye grade ko when I got hired.

hey guys i recently had a screening for oman air and the recruiter asked me if i applied na before then she asked me if i knew why i wasn't accepted. it came as a revelation to me na yung ears ko ang problem.. I mean I know I have bat ears but it was never a big deal then until this application now i'm thinking of undergoing an otoplasty- ear pinning surgery... to all the FAs here, wala ba [textspeak!] tinatanggap na crew na nakaprotrude ang ears... to the rest of the aspirant do you think i should risk it kht na wala pa namang assurance at this point?

Pinangarap ko din ito dati. Sinamahan pa nga ako ng father ko sa ipams when i was 21 yrs. old pero sabi nung nakausap namin sa agency eh underage pa daw ako kaya balik nalang pag 23 na ako. Hanggang sa nawala na sa isip ko at sa pinas nalang nag work. Sayang na sana nai-push ko pa sarili ko at nagtry ulit kasi maganda naman talaga sahod at benefits kahit mahirap din ang work eh worth it naman.

@arlon06, local airlines hire male FAs. A male colleague got hired in Qatar but he went there to apply locally. He's got relatives there.

@arlon06, some airlines accept, some doesn't. Middle Eastern airlines are more strict when it comes to marital status. Medyo mas conservative kasi culture nila.

@Oracle17, I think it's a lame reason for you not to get accepted just because of the shape of your ears. I think it's more of a decision siguro ng local agency, not the airline HR representative. I once flew with a Pinay crew, she has protruding ears but she was pretty, polite, charming, smart and with great personality. Once, a newbie colleague needed to quit because something in her inner ear was inverted, making it painful and impossible for her to adjust to pressurization. That was detected when she was flying na kasi hindi naman part yun ng pre-employment physical examination. May hair style naman para diyan. Your hair in pony pero 1'2 of your upper ears are covered with the hair on your side. Hindi naman bawal yon basta hindi covered ang mukha and neat ang hairstyle.

Kasi gusto ko na i-consider yan. Kaso baka abutin naman ng 1month.

i am having my screening this coming tuesday dec. 10, at super kinakabahan, kasi parang hindi proportion yung weight ko sa height ko. i am 5'3" and my weight is 47 only.

may question din po ako mga sisses sa mga nakapag try ng mag apply sa cebpac, wineweigh ba kayo o mineasure lang ang waistline nyo?kasi kung mineasure lang waistline nyo siguro makakapasok ako sa screening.

I have always had this impression that cabin crews are supposed to have nice teeth and proportioned bmi. But i recently found out that an acquaintance is working with Saudia as a cabin crew and I was so shocked kase her front teeth is crooked (alternate) and she is, to put it bluntly, quite fat. She is charming naman pero nagulat naman ako how she got in eh ako nga nag-PRO lang sa Singapore Airlines pero saksakan ng higpit sa requirements. Then, I also found out na her sister's been with Saudia for so many years na (senior cabin crew). Pati pala international airlines uso ang backers. Sad lang to know samantalang ang daming girls na di hamak na mas qualified.
