Well, if that's your opinion, then so be it. Now i don't know where to categorize myself anymore since everyone gets the chance to fly anywhere in the world.  I am not that slim and i am not tall. Of course hindi rin beauty queen and beauty ko. Bit i get european and uk flights. So san na ko lalagay? Pero personally, i haven't met any rude filipinos as rude as you were describing. At oo, kelangan may brains ang fa kasi safety and security ang priority. Service is just second. Hindi lahat ng nakakapasa sa assessment, siguradong fa na talaga.  May bumabagsak rin training pa lang.

^^ I dont know about other ME airlines but one of my closest, dearest friends works for Etihad and what she normally does is, she tries to swap some of her flights with other FAs who are flying to Manila. I would imagine that other Pinoy FAs do the same so they could be with their families, which probably explains why you always encounter Pinoy FAs.

As for being masungit... well, there are a lot of ill-mannered passengers din naman. Siguro nga may masungit but like euwie said, I doubt na ganun kadami. Mas malaki mawawala sa kanila.

Last, maybe airlines don't require their FAs to have a PhD or whatev but I believe they have to go through several tests and training so it's not really a purely physical job. They have to have smarts din.

maybe nagkakataon lang na every time i fly mla-auh (etihad) and mla-dxb (emirates) merong masungit na pinay FA  i hope next time wala na ako maencounter.

on looks and brains: you guys have to agree that MOST airlines eh looks ang inuuna than brains. correct me if i'm wrong pero diba inuuna ang physical assessment for applicants? i mean, titignan ka muna and based on your looks kung makakapasok ka for the next level? and sabi ko nga on my previous posts, it seems na hindi masyadong particular ang mga ME carriers sa looks ng FAs nila compared sa ibang asian carrier (korean air, malaysia airlines, cathay pacific, and even cebu pac)

^bro, sa tingin ko sa pinas lang sila particular sa looks, siguro asians in general.  Maniwala ka at sa hindi, uung nga fa ng korean air, kapag walang make up, average lang. May pinapagamit yatang particular make up sa kanila.Masyado kasi tayong nagcoconcentrate sa looks, which is sa tingin ko, it's a form of discrimination.  Obvious namsn sa classified ads natin e. Single, pleasing personality, from 21-25 years old.... hay! One should be hired according to his/her qualifications and not by physical appearance, age, status. Basta naman presentable, ok na yun.  Sana bro nireklamo mo yung fa na nagsusungit na sabi mo. It's a no no maski naman saan, para nabigyan ng leksyon

^^ may physical requirements naman talaga. it helps with the first round kumbaga pero it does not automatically get them hired.

may nag sabi sa akin super strict nga nang Qatar air may bond din sila if di mo matapos yung contract paysum mo sila nung bond. and eto di ko kinaya- pag nag ka pimples ka while on duty ma reduce salary mo to basic salary at magging parang suspended ka daw parang puro local flights lang ata or magging sa ground ka lang. over diba!
kaya pala every 6 months sila nag exam dami nila tinatangal kase probationary ka muna diba so if di ka magustohan tegi ka na agad. wala na tanong tanong.

naloka ako sa impormasyon tungkol sa pimples! so bawal na pala magkapimple forever sa qatar haha kaya pala yung isa kong nakausap na FA dun e ang ganda ng skin, 10 years na sya sa QR in fairness grabe kaya pala ang dalas ng hiring dahil sa exam every 6 mos. yung friend ko and other friend eh natanggal agad halos kaka 1 year lang nila dun.

Korek ka jan sis. Actually sabi a akin nung friend ko Na FA (not Sa Qatar air),  di naman talaga top choice yung Qatar if you want to be FA kase dami nila issues. Not as nice as the other well known airlines.
now I'm trying for Oman air I have 5 friends dun naka 4years Na sila and all are first class FA's Na.

may hiring ba ngayon for Oman Air? maganda nga din daw dun at maganda din flights yung friend ko na ex Qatar air crew (natanggal sya recently), sabi nya nga sobrang strict nga daw at madami daw issues, pero d naman nya inelaborate kung ano yung issues, parang ayaw na nyang pagusapan. mabilis nga talaga turnover ng FA's nila dahil sa tanggalan factor na yun. nadiscourage na rin tuloy ako magapply sa QR, although marami rin namang sinabing nice things yung friend ko, mostly tungkol sa "easy money" at yung marami talagang countries na mapupuntahan.

Oo nga sis. Working progress pa kase si qatar air unlike kila emirates big time na. yung friend ko dun nako sarap na buhay, wala sha masabi sa training and expreience niya perfect daw everything Sa emirates.
May friend ako nung November pa na interview Sa Qatar air aba naka 9k sha Sa medical. Over daw sa gastos talaga tapos pag mag expire na medical mo at di ka pa naka alis uulitin mo lahat. Kaya naloka sha lol after 3months sha natawagan eh may work na sa pal kaya di Na lumipat sayang nagastos Sa medical.
correction: august pa pala na interview friend ko sa qatar air, she chose pal daw para flag carrier mas malapit sa puso. sabi ko, may ganoon! lol may kilala naman kase yun inside kaya madali makapasok.

hi mga sis buhay nanaman mga hiring ng airlines both local and intentional! i just submitted my requirements to oman air kaina hope all will go smoothly. my friend who is a flight attendant in oman messaged me details ng hiring para mag try din ng mga aspirants kaso via agency. super hoping na ok nga.
i'm also planning on going to ipams since hiring din si saudia lahat na applyan at sayang ang opportunity hehe

^ Training does not include swimming lesson. You should be able to swim and float kasi ikaw rin mahihirapan once training starts pwede ka ma-left behind sa training until you learn how to swim.nangyari kasi sa batchmate ko yan dati. hindi siya pinalusot pinag swimming lesson muna siya bago pinasa.

Hi everyone! I hope may makatulong sa akin with my question.. I am turning 29 this april and I still want to pursue this elusive dream of being an FA. I've been wanting to apply since I was 22, pero being a breadwinner, yung sweldo ko, napupunta sa pagkain for my family... so hindi ako ever nakapag.invest para sa physical appearance ko.. i wanted to have a clearer complexion, tapos ipapa.remove ko pa sana yung raised moles ko sa mukha ko kasi medyo marami and obvious sila, and kung sapat sana yung sweldo ko, nakapag.ipon sana ako for these.. kaso hindi... so ngayon, turning 29 na ako, pangarap pa rin...

dito kasi sa pilipinas, medyo pahirapan ang pag.apply kasi nga pagandahan talaga.. average yung hitsura ko... it's not that ambisyosa ako at nangarap pang mag.FA.. it's just that I know it's what I have to be..plano ko, is to go to dubai and apply for that sole purpose deritso duon sa emirates.. considering my situation,next year pa yan ma.accomplish, so baka mga 30 years old na ako nyan...

tumatanggap kaya ang emirates ng FA applicant na 30 years old? hindi naman kasi sinabi sa website nla kung anong maximum age requirement eh.. sabi lang at least 21 years old...

any thoughts on this please?

^ Hi sis. I did a little research, may nabasa akong post sa cabin crew forum na her friend applied daw in Dubai when she was 33 yrs old and she got in. Yung isa naman commented na 34 yrs old naman yung kilala nya and nakapasok din. So I guess pwede ka pa mag apply. Hope this helps.

First time ko mag-apply tomorrow sa Oman Air. :| Gaano katagal ba ang mga "recruitment" kapag ginaganap sa hotel? Aabutin ba 1 whole day? Lol.

Direct referral ako by my dad's friend from Oman Air, pero syempre tinawagan ko muna yung agency kahapon para sure na okay lang. Ang sabi nung agent hanapin ko daw siya lol. Hmm baka bumagsak agad ako sa kanya kaya parang mas gusto ko hanapin yung HR manager (since sa kanya ako nirefer).

Kinakabahan ako. Pero charge to experience na lang. Feel ko di ako tatanggapin though I'll bring my utmost confidence

hi sis rebecca960099, as far as i know till 35 ang age limit of FA depending on which airline. i have a lot of friends na FA mas madali nga daw if walk in abroad kysa dito sa pinas na via agency tapos dami pa arte. me i'm 29 na
sis minnie99, ano ganap sa application mo sa oman air? may friend din ako dun na FA 4 years na super ganda ng privileges nila kaya i tried mag apply also.
