Greece will be our next target too after our Italy trip next year. According to our friends and relatives who've been there it is best to avoid Greece in the height of summer. As in mas mainit pa daw dun compared to here during summer. The best time to visit is during spring or fall when temperatures are comfortable enough to enjoy the sights.

i just got back from greece, mykonos and santorini last holy week. was on a package tour that cost $3300 all in for 12 days full board meals.

santorini is divine, natural beauty, great sunset view of the caldera. was there the first day of summer and it was a bit warm during the day but still very cold during the night.

we've been to greece hindi pa summer non pero grabe ang init, but we've only been to athens, next time talaga pupunta na kami sa Santorini... ang dami kasing magagandang destinations here in Europe kaya mahirap mamili.

will keep on coming back to this thread for tips para pagnaschedule na namin may idea nako LOL!

yup $3300 per person including airfare, hotels, meal, transportation

just stayed in santorini for 2 nights and went around greece (athens, corinth, olympia, delphi, meteora, mykonos, and santorini). from athens, we took a 5 hour ferry ride to mykonos then a 3 hour fast cat ride to santorini then going back to athens a 45minute airplane ride.

in santorini, we had a day tour around the sights of the place and visited the 2 main towns - thera and oia. kaya naman maikot in a day but siyempre better if you stay longer to relish the place and the shopping!

stayed in a hotel called el greco, very nice and it was walking distance to the center of thera which is the capital of santorini.

santorini's beauty is very natural compared to mykonos na mas man made and souvenirs are a lot cheaper. people are very friendly as well

yup, flew from manila with a short layover in bkk. travel agency is traveler's choice. not all agents offer mykonos and santorini in their packages so we grabbed it when we saw it.

Not a bad price for 12 days? Sana you can give us your itinerary. I'd like to compare that with a DIY trip. So kung kami ni hubby that would be USD6600.00 hmmmm....

mama squeak, actually parang 10 days lang because of the travel time but it's sulit naman. i'll try to post the places that we went to those days. around greece (except mykonos and santorini), lots of coach travel from one place to another, similar to tours around europe din.
