Even with my frequent travels abroad I make it a point to inform my bank that I will be using my CC. A bit of inconvenience on my part but worth the security it brings kasi alam ko babantayan ng bank mga CC transactions ko. I also don't mind them calling me to confirm na ako ba talaga ang gumawa ng transaction specially if it involves a big amount. Before kasi my card was tagged twice in a suspected fraud transaction and the bank had to immediately replace my CC. Buti na lang naagapan otherwise problema di ba?

baliktad naman yung sabi sakin ng bank when i called about that. if i inform them daw na i will be using my card abroad, they will remove all securities sa card ko, that's why i didnt bother to inform them everytime i'm abroad. and yun nga, they know my card history.

the only time they called me abroad was when i charged half a million worth of transaction. usually kasi di sosobra sa 100k maximum charge ko per transaction. natuwa naman ako na tumawag kasi i was waiting for them to call me about that talaga.

Ako its always BPI. I never called up BPI when I used it sa US, Malaysia, SG and HK. I also noticed na the exchange rates are lower than other Credit cards. I remember when I bought F21 via online, yung rate is mas mababa kesa sa SM forex and nung nag charge ako ng Itunes.

dunating na yung bill ko from my recent purchases abroad and really i can say na fair enough ang conversdion ng BPI,

i prefer to use BPI cc over my Citibank

travellers told me AMEX is the best if you travel...yung friend ko she used amex ang sabi niya ang baba ng exchange rate parang mas mataas lang ng 10cents

I met an IT before he is a korean and IT siya ng Olympics, we dined with him and he used his amex in paying I ask him why use amex? He said it is the best for travellers

^Hmm matry nga yan. I have both an AMEX and a Visa, halos parehas lang ang tingin
ko sa rates ng Visa and AMEX (both cards pala from Korean banks ha). Visa
pa rin madalas kong gamitin kasi my problem with AMEX kelangan pang icheck if they
accept AMEX, kasi some shops Visa lang.

We have always used Amex when traveling. When we go to the US, kahit accross the border lang, we still use this cc. But have an extra cc on hand kasi hindi lahat ng establishment accept Amex (like Christmas tree shop).

I usually use Citi or HSBC. 1 time I was in HK, I tried to use my HSBC but my transaction was blocked. Tapos, nung late night na, I got a call from HSBC verifying if it's really me that's trying to use the credit card. after I confirmed, sabi nila I can already use it. eh kaso naman, I'm already flying home the next morning so wala nang opportunity mag sh
opping. So from then on, I always make it a point to inform the bank that I'm going out of the country.

before i travel, i call HSBC to inform them para hassle free ang transactions abroad. AMEX naman so far smooth ang mga transactions.

hsbc sa akin. right now i'm in hk, nagamit ko naman even though i didn't inform hsbc beforehand (sabi kasi sa akin dati i should always inform them beforehand).

i prefer hsbc kasi usually hk lang ako. dami advantage kasi dami discount. but you have to ask the cashier kasi minsan hindi nakadisplay na meron discount.

citibank ok sana, kaso anti-citibank kami ng family ko haha bad experience with them kasi kaya ayaw namin
