How to forget someone you truly love?
« on: April 22, 2011, 12:40:24 pm »
We started as friends...good friends turned into lovers. He had a past relationship na super love niya yun girl pero binabale wala lang siya, so he focuses on other things...until he fell in love with me and we became a couple. We were really happy, we didn't have any problems, until one day...on the day before our 1st monthsary...his ex girlfriend texted him and told him na nalulungkot siya. He was super affected...na nagiguilty daw siya kahit wala naman daw siyang kasalanan...On our monthsary...I knew something was wrong kaya I called him up...he didn't want to see me in person kasi di daw niya kaya, nahihiya daw siya sa akin at nagiguilty sa gagawin niya. He needs time daw. He chose to be alone. "Believe it or not daw, it's not about another person daw, it's all about me." I hate lines saying it's me, not you...totally sick of that line. :(

I texted him kanina, told him "Let go na kita...it's obvious that's what you want. Hope you find true love and happiness. Ingat ka parati. Dito lang ako if you need a friend."

^^Basta, make sure to follow the No Contact rule or else magiging rebound ka palagi each time things don't work out between them. Wag ka na munang mag-offer ng friendship, let him lick his own wounds when things go awry.

angelme, ganon talaga ang in love minsan selfish, ako before, I dated imediately after my future hubby and I split for awhile. Sure, super happy kami nung new guy. Ideal couple, envy of our friends, our families were rooting for us pero deep inside I was still thinking about the ex. Nung nagparamdam, I dropped the new bf that everybody loved for the old ex. When things did not work out, hindi na ko sinalo uli ni other ex, up to this point I have the utmost respect for him.

So, save yourself, he loves somebody else. if you guys are meant to be, all the courting shall come from him. Para alam niya yung worth mo.

hi sis, parehas tayo.. kaso saken medyo twisty ang story eh harhar  :D. basta un nga. to make it short, when i was the one na okay na, meron na siyang iba and yung ex niya pa un. yes it hurts so i really did try everything to forget him. pina LBC ko pa nga lahat ng gamit niya na nasa akin. pero bakit ganun? everytime na tatawagan niya ko o kakamustahin parang di ako makatanggi, whenever we talk, lahat bumabalik, parang were the same person na naman na inlove sa isat isa. i know talaga na ginawa niya lang rebound his ex  kaso nahihirapan siya tuloy makipaghiwalay dahil very dominating daw yung girl. oh its so sad, i dont want to wait for him anymore kahit alam ko na we love each other. parang in the first place, question is, Bakit di mo ko hinintay at binalikan mo yung ex mo??

and now i dont know what to do talaga, kasi we still have communication, i always keep coming back to him kahit ayoko na. sabi ko nga don sa isang thread.. im close to dying  :( :(

makakatulong kaya saken yung no contact rule? as in big time? haysss...  :(

^It will, either ways. For you or for him.

For him, kasi may chance na ma-realize niya na ikaw pala talaga gusto niya.
For you, kasi kahit hindi pala siya bumalik, kaya mo to break contact.

Okay, you said hindi niya kaya to break-up with the girl kasi domineering; bakit ayaw niyang hiwalayan, eh anjan na nga yung dahilan clear as the nose in his face.

In my experience kasi, guys who can't leave girls like these are two things lang: in love talaga or walang b^lls, or both hindi lang nila maamin. This is not about being a gentleman, that's the lamest excuse in the book.

Also, how can you say na ikaw ang love, are you present in their dates? Pasensya na if I sound so aggressive ha. I know guys like this kasi eh, abused by the GF and get respite from other girls para maramdaman nila na lalaki pa rin pala sila, but at the end of the day dun pa rin sa isa bumabalik. Such sad situation, pero pinakakawawa the girl being made the relationship fodder.

Sis sosychill, i believe makakatulong sayo yan.

Pero be sure na your 100%committed na kalimutan sya. :)

I have no answer to the topic question.

Di ko talaga alam. I'm also in a relationship involving an ex-gf on his part. The only difference is that mine is far more complicated than yours. Best friends lang daw sila. Whatever. I have broken up with him many times in my mind, only in my mind because I don't to seem to fickle. I don't want to break up unless I am really sure. But I always ended up changing my mind. Oh well.

I have given myself a period to decide. Maybe by that time I will be sure. I'm not hoping that I will be ready to leave the relationship behind, I don't I will ever be ready. But I am hoping by that time, I will be certain. Because sis, we truly deserve better.

move on sis... lalo na now na hindi pa kayo ganun katagal...

saka kung talagang gusto ka niya, paninindigan niya yung decision nya na maging girlfriend niya, despite the other relationship... parang ang nangyari, after niyang matry na maging GF ka, idodrop ka niya bigla... para? makipagbalikan dun sa isa? what does that make you diba?

i suggest you move on... find someone who'll love you and only you from the start palang.

For me. there is no way you can forget someone who once become important part of your life. Besides, there are many things around you that serves as "reminders" of him/her. The only way to move on is learning to live a life without them. at the end of the day, you'll find yourself surviving without that person na hindi mo kaya kalimutan. Sa una lang talaga mahirap. Just let time heals the wound. And one day, you'll recall your painful experience with that someone as memories only.

angelme888, you're question is the same question I had and have been asking myself a number of times.

I agree with what sis confusedgirl51 said, that we don't really forget people who have become a significant part of our life. We just ought to go through the stages of moving on, which is of course, not as easy as we think it is.

It's just months probably that we are talking about with regard to your situation. In my case, I've been constantly battling the emotions I have inside since I was 23. It's been close to 6 years now and I really wanted to just "forget." I realized moving on is not an overnight thing. I wish tomorrow I'd finally say goodbye, too to all the pain that my short-lived relationship with an ex- left me.

I guess the secret is to NOT willow on the happy thoughts about your ex-. This would make you cling to him all the more. Acceptance doesn't come easy, but we should learn to embrace the fact that these guys are a thing of the past, and so we are to them.

Get out while you still can.

haynaku sis, tama ka, dapat No Contact rule, pumupunta pa rin siya sa place ko even though wala na kami at bestfriends daw kami kuno. It lasted for 3 weeks...hanggang sa hindi ko na kaya at sumabog ako nun nakita ko pictures nila nung girl na super sweet. I texted him, sabi ko, ano ba ang nagawa ko sa inyo para gawin niyo ito sa akin? Ang dami ko natext, galit ako. Nagreply siya, I know kahit anong sabihin ko or paliwanag, hindi maaalis ang sakit na nararamdaman mo. I promise you will never hear from me again and you will never see me again. Magpapakalayo na ako. I won't even mingle with your friends. I'm really sorry. Goodbye.

Oh well, ganun talaga ang buhay. If you want to move on, talagang no contact rule ang kailangan kasi the more na nakikita mo siya or nakakausap, lalo ka lang mahihirapan.
