yung wedding gown ko, pinalinis ko lang tapos nakatago na. since mahaba yung detachable train ng gown ko, balak ko pagawa ng dress out of it. sabi din ng MIL ko, pagawa din daw ako ng baptismal suit ng baby namin.

or go to places that rent formalwear and sell it there. if you want to get a good price and want to get into a good haggling stance, bring the receipt to show how much you really paid for it (and to show it was brand new then), bring the wedding invitation to show just how recently you wore it, and what the hey- bring a wedding picture to show how beautiful it looked on you. and whatever you do- don't wait too long to sell. i've seen wedding gowns on eBay that look like they came from the 70's. now who'd want to buy that today? don't wait for the style to be off a few decades.

I'd like to preserve my gown. Ibibigay ko siya sa future daughter ko when she gets married. =) Kung tatagal yung damit nga mahabang panahon. hehe

nice idea yan hehe..sayang di detachable train ng gown ko. after ng wedding ko like my SIL ipapadry clean ko siya then vacuum seal.

I don't think my future daughter will wear my wedding gown mostly may sarili silang style and preference nakita ko wedding gown ng lola ko and wala akong balak suotin mahirap din i-alter, kaya papagawa ako ng gown na pwedeng i-alter para mapakinabangan.

^ako din. sino ba naman may gusto magsuot ng wedding gown na 20 or more than 20 years ng nakatago?? i dont think magiging sentimental pa ang mga kabataan sa panahon na yun para isuot ang pinaglumaan ko unless ako ay sis princess diana.


anyway, magandang suggestion ang ibenta eto, at ibenta agad habang in fashion pa at mataas pa ang value. ipamigay sa kaibigan or kamag anak na susunod ng ikasal sayo. ipa alter din para pede magamit sa ibang event. ngayon ko nga naiisip not to spend alot sa wedding gown na one time mo magagamit, kasi for sure sa renewal of vows namin, hindi ko rin yan isusuot.hihi.

i'd rather sell it or have it altered. for sure di siya gagamitin ng anak ko by the time she gets married. kung yung sa mom ko nga di ko ginamit. not only dahil di siya kasya sa kin (ampayat ng nanay ko, in fairness) kundi outdated din ang design.

unfortunately, nasira yung gown ko nung ondoy. oh well, parang na-trash the dress na rin siya.

will: make a new dress out of it for formal gathering and the remaining I can do what sis rjaye said, make my first born's (and if kaya pa 2nd born) baptismal dress out of it

hi... nakatago sa box ng gown [textspeak!] akin... sometimes tinitignan tignan ko siya..especially pag inis ako kay husband! para mawala inis ko.. hahahah!! lol!

i have plans of preserving it. pero not right after the wedding though..hindi kasama sa budget hehe..

in my case, it would make more sense to re-use the dress, somehow... kasi i don't like keeping things in my closet (or in storage somewhere) if i know i'll very likely not wear them again
(1) sell or give away
(2) alter or convert into a cocktail dress since classic silhouette naman design na napili ko

pero i would like to keep the veil at least, as a memento... maybe keep it as a "something old/borrowed" for my daughter or niece someday... i recall reading somewhere that mikee cojuangco had her mother's lace train converted to become her veil (or was it her mom's veil turned her own train?)

I'll have it preserved... or gagawin kong kurtina/ pillow case as I always joked when people tell me not to spend to much on my wedding gown since it will only be used once.
