Asia Miles Redemption

meron pa ko isang nagustuhan - Sony digital photo frame @15k miles. kaso lang self-collection sya. mas useful sya sa kin sa tingin ko kesa sa mp4 player kaso lang hassle naman sa papakisuyuan ko kasi self-collection pa sya.

I just redeemed a 2 night stay at Cebu Shangrila for this May. I opted for their courier service to deliver my redemption letter kasi hindi reliable our postal services here.

^Only if you have it couriered to you. I always avail of their courier service (USD50 or 5,000 miles) since our postal services here is unreliable. Hirap na mawala!

Just to give you an example of how fast and reliable their courier services are, I redeemed online last Monday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, natanggap ko na my letters thru DHL.

^end of month ang expiry sis. so dec 31 pa yun pag dec 2012. yun akin kasi jun 2011 ang expiry. bale jun 30 sya. nagredeem ako mid june na.

ako nag redeem ng disney tickets ng june 24 tapos 3 sets ng june 28 and isang set ng july 5 .  yung niredeem ko 3 sets ng disney ng july 28 dumating after 3 weeks.  yung 2 sets na tag 21000 miles hindi dumating . so kinulit ko sila na wala pa din.  yung sa husband ko ipinadala ulit via dhl pero di kami chinarge after 4 days lang dumating na .  sinabi ko kasi sa kanila after 2 weeks na ang alis namin eh sabi ko sa kanila imposible na umabot.  ayun thru dhl nila ipinadala

from citibank platinum miles, tapos lipat sa asia miles. from MY asia miles, pwede ko bang ipa transfer to my daughter's asia miles and some miles to hubby's asia miles card?

^I've never had problems getting in touch with them. Alam ko as long as unused ang tickets you can still re-book provided seats are available and the new ticket will have the same expiry as the original ticket. As to the fees not so sure how much.

no there's no fee sa redeemed ticket. unlimited rebookings basta hindi nag no show. From Asia Miles. Mileage Transfer and Asia Miles Mileage Renewal
24.1 Mileage credits can be transferred to the account of any chosen Redemption
Group Nominee. The initial minimum transfer amount is 10,000 mileage credits
for a service fee (online: USD170; other channels: USD250); with further mileage
credits transferable in blocks of 5,000 for a fee (online: USD140; other channels:
USD200). Transferred mileage credits are valid for a further three years from the
date of transfer.
24.2 Mileage credits which are about to expire can be renewed for a further three
years in minimum blocks of 2,000 mileage credits for a service fee (online:
USD40; other channels: USD100).
24.3 All transactions are non-refundable and non-reversible.

para ka ng bumili ng ticket sa mahal magpatransfer.  better redeem for your dayughter na lang

their toll free number, they just ask me to leave my number. tapos pag email naman, walang reply. bad trip talaga. complete opposite ng krisflyer. tawaga agad ang krisflyer pag may email ako.

^sis, if you go to their website it will show you the current taxes and other fees you'll be paying.

^my bad! It's not in the AM website but you'll find it on the CX or KA websites. Just log on to the Cathay Pacific website with your AM account then choose the flight/dates you want to redeem. It will then give you the total taxes and fees you'll be paying. You have to have a credit card to finalize the redemption. After payment you'll receive an e-ticket.

In the AM website, it will only show you how many miles are needed to redeem the flights.

I tried mock booking today and it's about 620HKD.
