May question lang ako. What's the Church's stand on this? Hindi po ba they are against contraceptives? What about ligation?

I think Catholic Church are against of ligation too. Kasi I consulted in San Juan De Dios Hospital which is Catholic hospital and they don't allow ligation. Sinabi sa akin ng OB ng SJ ito mismo kasi nga because of religion. She even prefer me in St. Lukes kapag gusto ko ng ganitong procedure.

I have a friend kasi she has 4 kids na and want it done kaso ayaw pumirma ng husband niya. need ba talaga ito?

^same with my condition, sis. Placenta previa ako with my last pregnancy and very risky na kung mabubuntis ulit ako, abrupt decision din but still needed my husband's consent.

anyone else considering getting a ligation after first baby? ayaw ko na umulit talaga. 99% decided, 1% I might regret it.

Reviving this thread again. Musta naman mga sisses who recently had their ligation. Any insights, tips? I'm planning to undergo ligation after giving birth to my fourth child this late March / early April. I've asked my OB about this. Ayoko na talaga magkababy uli, too old for that. Saka madami ba talagang bawal? Like example yung pagbubuhat? As in bawal na ba talaga. Kasi I have a business that sometimes di maiiwasang magbuhat ng mga items that I buy and sell.

Ayaw ni OB ko magligate at after niya sabihen yung mga reasons niya naconvince ako to wait muna and if ever I still want to after x years balik ako sa kanya.

Joining..

@msals2007 -- sis relate Ako sa iyo. I just gave birth to my 3rd baby last January 9. And I also had ligation done na. Since NSD ako, you're right na ang hiwa is below ng pusod Pero maliit Lang daw. Evan kasi d ko pa nakikita til now since naka-bandage pa and takot Ako tignan din. Anyway I made the decision kasi surprise baby na itong 3rd namen e. I computed yun age namen mag-asawa by the time our kids finish college and grabe ang tanda na namen nun! At first, ayaw din ng Ob ko kasi may rule daw na dapat at least 30 yun mother and yun eldest child is 7 na. My eldest kasi is only 4 e. But I talked to other Ob friends and they said ok Lang basta you feel complete na family mo. Kaya yun we went for it na ni hubby. Although ang fee ko for it was only around 6-8 thousand kasi it was factored in the PF ng Ob ko Lang. Pero I don't na totoo yun after 5 days ok na kasi more than a week na Ako and minsan may kirot pa din! Huhu Saka I think yun basal magbuhat is only while the wound is fresh pa. Anyway ayun HTH

Thanks prettysherry for sharing. I think I'll really push thru with the ligation.

^thanks sis! Ya masmura nga kasi according to my friend, if separate procedure siya it can cost up to 30 thou daw! And it's not covered by HMOs, well at least yun sa office namen ewan ko Lang yun iba. Anyway I had my first check up yesterday and finally saw my "tahi". It's super small nga and right below ng belly button mo so d siya halata. Although my Ob said yun kirot na naramdaman ko is because of the wound inside -- yun pinutol na parts. Ayun... May God guide you on your decision!

Will there be some sort of counselling involved before making that final plunge and going through ligation?  I'm still torn between having it done na because of my previous trauma sa emergency CS ko and wanting to have another baby maybe in 3 years time just to complete the family.

Ang hirap lang that tayong babae dapat mag undergo ng operation all the time may fear pa naman ako sa pain.

I had my ligation but this was emergency decision kasi it is because of medical reason hindi na talaga ako pwede mag buntis and even contraceptives is not an option kasi pag nag buntis ako hindi rin mabubuhay ang baby kasi puputok na rin ang matris ko so talaga wether we like or not dapat talaga ako iligate.  For me if it is not really due medical reason pag isipan nyo ng mabuti kasi we will never know if we have the same heart after 3years we will never know baka gusto natin ng maraming baby..or so talagang matinding decision making talaga.
