Pros and Cons of Living in a Condominium against living in a house

Pero seriously, I'd prefer to live in a house because you have your own backyard, no matter how small it is.  And sa iyo talaga ang property na iyon for lifetime.  Section 8 of the Condominium Act of the Philippines states that condominium, which is referred as project, that has been in existence in excess of 50 years, that it is obsolete and uneconomical, and that condominium owners holding in aggregate more than 50 percent interest in the common areas are opposed to repair or restoration or remodeling or modernizing of the project may act upon to dissolve the condominium corporation and partition the assets proportionately among the owners.

Such right to partition or dissolution may be conditioned upon failure of the condominium owners to rebuild within a certain period or upon specified percentage of damage to the building, or upon a decision of an arbitration, or upon any other reasonable condition.

i prefer house and lot din... how i wish magkaroon na kami nito. kaso malayo lang sa manila. halos lahat eh cavite, bulacan and laguna. kung dito ka naman sa manila, super mahal din.

^^true sis pero iniisip ko na lang na sulit kasi d ko na need ng maid at mag-abang when dadaan ang truck ng basura etc.

^yes sis, pag may house na ok na bumili ng condo very convenient. Sa bahay ako naglo-laundry at plantsa ng damit ng anak ko. Masarap magpatuyo ng damit sa bakuran

for me, mas masarap pa rin ang may sariling bahay but in a good location (secured, mababait na kapitbhay, may magandang water supply, malapit lang yung malls, schools, church & hospital at hindi binabaha). Saka pwede ka pang makapagtanim ng mga gulay at bulaklak sa bakuran mo at mag-alaga ng hayop. Ang hilig ko pa naman sa mga aso, kahit na aspin lang.

Ang gusto ko naman sa condo, pero wala pa ako nyan hehe, malapit sa malls, mrt at di binabaha. pero mas maganda na mag-invest muna sa house & lot, tapos kung kaya, mag-invest din ng condo.

we've been living in a condo for 7 years and decided to buy a house and lot in paranaque. ang laki ng kaibahan such as may sarili kaming vegetable garden, i raise chicken and turkey sa backyard, morning sun, nakakapagsampay kami sa backyard, etc.. i'm glad talaga na me sariling bahay na kami.

Ako I prefer house and lot.  We live in an apartment which is located sa 2nd floor, wala kami sariling garage house na maituturing kasi hindi naman siya condo type unit talaga, kaso the fact na baba akyat kami sa hagdan ang hirap tapos I have kids pa na wants to play outside so they are really going down para maglaro pa.

Then now we moved in sa own house namin mas malaki ang floor area ng dati naming apartment kaso hindi matatarawan ang lot area ng own house namin kasi mas malaki compared sa apartment, they can play sa garage then sa rear part ng house namin, they can play bike, badminton, volleyball tapos fresh air kaya ko napili ang house over condo.

It would be a house for me. I tried living in a low rise apartment building before and nothing beats having a bigger space + backyard at your doorstep. You mind the noise level pero not unlike when you live in a condo where there is potential noise to your left, right, above and below your unit. and at the same time  you have to be very careful about the noise you make so as not to upset the neighbors.

i think depende nga sa lifestyle mo and how you see yourelf in the future.

Ako kase I dont need a family coz im alone. And if ever makapag-sawa aku ulit dapat yung lalake ang mag provde saken ng family house. At pag nangyari yun eh chaka ku na iisipin [textspeak!] panu ang gagawin ko sa condo ko. but at the moment since im abroad and single, a condo is more like it for me. Chaka ko na isipin ang future pag anjan na. Ayaw ku rinnamang makapag asawa ulit ng lalakeng hindi kayang mag provide ng bahay for me, also with the things that is going, I think I will be staying out of Phils for a long time and mas gusto ko na atang tumira abroad kesa sa Pinas. But of course only God knows. And until then a condo is still the best option for a single person like me.

depende sa lifestyle pero kung may family ka, mas ok for me ang house and lot. but you need to always consider location before anything else.. I remember a GTalker said before na ang size ng bahay at hitsura pwedeng gawan ng paraan pero ang location hindi kasi hindi mo naman pwedeng dalin ang bahay mo sa ibang lugar.

Hubby and I bought a house and lot sa Pasig (near city hall) after getting married. Mas preferred lang talaga namin ang house and lot.

Parang natatakot ako umuwi ng gabi tapos mag isa pag sa condo tapos solo ako sa elevator.
Gusto ko pati maliit lang na house mga tipong 80-100 sq.m lang na may garden 2BR 2T&B, happy na ako. Matatakutin kasi ako kaya takot ako pag malaki. Ayoko ng malaki din ang bahay tapos may mga parts sa bahay na hindi mo napupuntahan kasi masyado malaki.

i will always have to find a way to meet halfway... i will always choose a house rather than a condo... if distance will be compromised, i'll find a house which is not that far and still budget-friendly... just diggin', it's just a matter of being resourceful
