Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)

CS din ako sa daughter ko in 2008 kasi breech siya kaya I am hoping I could deliver normally. sabi ng iba high risk daw pero I think kaya naman on certain conditions like dapat double yung tahi sa uterus tapos dapat more than 2 years from the last CS delivery. I did a little research din, 1% lang naman daw yung risk for the uterine wall to rupture so long as tama ang position ni baby at hindi emergency CS yung last time. Gusto ko rin kasi talagang magnormal, I want to experience the normal way of giving birth di bale nang painful kakayanin ko talaga.  And ang tagal ng recovery kapag CS, 3 years bago nawala yung kirot sa loob ng tummy ko at mahal pati ang hospital bill.

Heard from my friend na naghome birth, na yung kilala niya na 2x na naCS eh nakapag successful Home water birth just last week lang. So, possible talaga to, lalo na for those na 1x pa lang na-CS.

Wow, sis great news yan!    Kakausapin ko nga yung new OB ko at dadalhin ko yung copy ko ng record of the last time I gave birth. Sana nga pro VBAC siya.

sad news mga sis, may GD ako, so it will lessen my chances of VBAC  pag hindi ako nag spontaneous labor before my due date baka repeat CS ako kasi lalaki rin si baby eh. Hay. Sana mag labor ako on my own at before my due date.

Sa 2nd ko, may GD ako, 6 weeks pa lang meron na daw, so diet ng bongga, hindi naman lumaki si bebe, 3 kgs lang siya nung pinanganak ko.  Kayang kaya sana inormal! Kaya lang di pro VBAC si OB so there...

Naku mahilig pa naman ako sa sweets lately Sana pumayag si OB ko na magnormal ako. Sabi ng friend ko kumain daw ng hilaw na papaya (manibalang ata tawag dun) so that magdilate yung cervix kapag ready kana manganak. Helpful daw yun.

^^ay sayang!! galing mo naman sis! sana ako rin ganun! ako rin super controlled na sa diet. bago ko pa naman nalaman na may GD ako controoled na ako sa diet ko dahil nga aiming for VBAC ayoko lumaki masyado si baby. kaya nga super depressed ako nung nalaman ko kasi kung kelan naman ako nagtino sa pregnancy na ito saka naman ako may GD haha

^sis sabi rin nila pineapple rin daw. so papabili ako ng maraming papaya at pinya pag full term na ako. kaso matamis yung pinya eh  haha

Pwede ba mag ask if you were able to find na ng pro-VBAC OB. I'm also trying to find one. My due is on the last week of Aug pa and one month before due date pa ako makauwi sa QC. Hope you don't mind sharing once meron ka na kita. Thanks a lot in advance.

I had a c-section too but in hindsight, I feel like that could've been prevented. My husband and I were first time parents and we really didn't know any better. OB said failure to progress, I was stuck at 6cm... I was admitted to the hospital early in the morning (7:30am) and by 2-3pm, they said I was STILL/ONLY at 6cm and if we wait more, the baby could be in distress. Looking back, could it be failure to wait? They have this standard of progressing 1cm every 2 hours but how could other mums give birth vaginally after being in active labour for over 30 hours??

I'm more confident and definitely armed with more knowledge the next time around. I will refuse continuous monitoring while I'm in labour with the exception of monitoring our bub's heartbeat. No IEs thankyouverymuch.

I will also be hiring a private doula to be with my husband and I. They cost extra ($800 and above) and some people might think, what?? She's in private hospital (in Australia), has an OB, midwives and obstetric nurses at her beck and call and she still wants to spend extra for a doula? Well, I know the aspects I was unhappy about during my first labour and this is me making sure I address those areas. If I still have another c-section, then I know I was meant to have it especially after doing all this

Hopefully I could do this on my next pregnancy. I had e-cs due to stained meconium. Nagtataka lang ako kasi 39th week palang ni lo nun e nagpupu na. E diba nagpupupu na kapag over due na?

Hi dealle!  I have met with 2 OBs who agreed that we can do TOLAC (trial of labor), si Dra. Encarnita Nicolas (East Ave Medical Center) and Dra. Cecilia Nogoy.  (FEU Hospital).  I'm  not sure though kung magbabago pa eventually pero as of last visit, okay naman sila to do trial of labor

Hi sis 3yrs and up na pagitan ang required para iallow ka ng oby mag normal i got same advice from 3 obys and depende pa sa reason why na CS ka the first time hope this helps

Sino po sa inyo ang nakapag VBAC Or vaginal birth after caesarean section? I had a Vertical C-section cut 4years ago po.. And this year, I'm 4months Pregnant.. I'm planning to try the VBAC.. Sabi ng doctor ko, since Vertical Cut ako, hindi ako pwedeng mag Normal Delivery dahil baka marupture ang Uterus.. pero may pinsan ako na nagVBAC e.. pero sabi ng Doctor ko, pwede daw yun kung malaki or maliit ang pelvic ng isang babae.. Pashare naman po ng mga nakaexperience ng VBAC.. TIA! ☺😊

^yan naman sagot ng karamihan sa OB na hindi pro-VBAC.  Depende sa pelvis ng babae.  And panakot nila is the uterine rupture din.  Backread ka sis, may pinost ako alam ko na link sa blog na 2x na naCS pero nakapg VB pa din..

Sis miminibebe, hindi naman sa panakot ang Uterine Rupture, nakakatakot talaga yan kasi nakakamatay sya. 1 out of 100 prev CS patient will turn to that, malas pag ikaw yung 1 diba, swerte pag ikaw yung 99. Pero may chance.

Lahat naman ng consequences sasabihin sa inyo. Mas gusto naman ninyo na lahat ng benefits and risks ma explain. Ang hindi sa lahat applicable ang VBAC. Para lang alam din ninyo.

Gusto ko sanang mag VBAC, CS ako last 2014 but both my husband and mom are against it. Pinanghinaan tuloy ako ng loob.

Hi question po ilan ang pwede baby kapag CS up to 3 lang ba? I already have 2 CS 3 and half years ago na yung isa and currently 6weeks pregnant. Since naka twice na ko CS no chance for VBAC?
