^ I find international webhosts/US webhosts a lot better and cheaper or has the better deals than local ones. Karamihan kasi ng mga nagbebenta ng webhosts locally, resellers rin yan at kumukuha rin ng galing sa international webhosts/US webhosts. 24/7 ang support - usually via live chat, not unlike a lot of our local ones na karamihan ay nakabakasyon pag mga araw ng bakasyon.

domain registration sa mga internation/US webhosts are often free, and they come with free email addresses for you to use. so ang babayaran mo lang is just the webhost charges.

ang advantage lang ng mga local hosts natin is that, they accept payments via our local bank accounts, GCash, etc.

^ Yea, sis. I actually transferred to Hostgator after a month. Unlimited kasi service. And I got three domains na.

Got my domain and webhosting from godaddy.  Hindi ko pa tapos yung website, wala ako time gumawa ng content.  Dapat ba ako gumawa nun or pwede na yung web designer na gumawa nun for me? 

Another question: kailangan pb bumili ng webhost if ang contect lang din naman ng dotcom site is the link to the multiply site?

^ by content, you mean yung mga dapat nakasulat sa website? yup sa iyo dapat ang write up and it's not really the job of the web designer to write the content. you may want to consider hiring the services of a writer for the content. the web designer's job is to setup and design the layout of the website.

for the second question, you mean ba na instead of "thiswebsite.multiply.com" magiging "thiswebsite.com" na lang ang multiply site? in that case, no, di mo na kailangan ng webhost, kasi ang webhost mo na is the multiply site. Nasa settings ng multiply account mo para palitan ang domain. Under "custom domain" ata.

^ thank you sis!  Kainis, too late ko na nabasa ang thread.  Nakatipid sana ako konti for the webhost. Anyway,  i have to work on the content na nga para mai-up na yng site.  Advantage ko na lang is unlimited webhosting na iyon so next time domain na lang ang bibilin ko.

You need to have domain, hosting and a CMS (content management system = Wordpress).

I use Godaddy for Domain. HostGator for Hosting. Wordpress for my CMS.
