I got my domain through google as well, as my blog is with blogger. Because of the low US$ FX rate, I paid less than Php 500 for it (for one year).

Nag-renew na ako ng domain ko sa godaddy. Nakigamit ako actually sa friend ko ng PayPal. Nagkamali siya, so instead of a year. 2 years yung na-renew niya. Okay na din.

Sorry for my ignorance but after i buy my domain, what happens next? Can i post articles, journals na? Or do i need to hire somebody to do some designs? Etc? Is this diff from u.r.l i get for free if i register at tumblr or multiply/livejournal?

ang domain is just the name. example www.sliderstory.com (my website)
if you want to add content to that, you need web hosting where you upload your files (different payment)

or

you can link to your existing blogger account. para hindi na something.blogspot.com yung address ng website mo

Matagal na ako lurker dito.  Gusto ko sana from .blogspot.com maging myfullname.ph or .com
Ask ko sana opinions nyo kung anong difference ng .ph sa .com, mas mahal kasi ang .ph
And sa tingin nyo, maganda ba na name ko yung gawin kong website name ko?

And, pwede ba maging info site yung blogger?  Dun lang kasi ako familiar, eh hindi naman blog ang gagawin ko, info site lang.

Based sa web marketing aspect ang answer ko lovehatemanila.

a.  Difference ng .ph sa .com
.ph - international extension for Philippines.
.com - generic extension (globally)
Google.ph, Yahoo.ph gives priority to ".ph" websites.  Ex. type the word "residences" in Google.ph, ang lalabas na result halos sa Philippines na site, SM sites uses .com (popular sila e), turn to 2nd page masmadaming ".ph"

b.  Maganda ba na name ko yung gawin kong website name ko?
I suggest name your website according to what it contains - eg condo-qc, condoqc, condominiumqc .. be unique lang coz I'm sure madami ng may ganun na URL.  Mas-formal tingnan para sa mga clients and masmadali marecognize sa search engines.
A site using your personal name as URL can be use as your portfolio, link your social media accounts.  This will help in the sense na your potential clients might "google" your name online, background check kumbaga.

c. .info vs .com
Madaming theories akong nababasa from diff web marketers regarding this, but the only one that makes sense is ".com" is easier to remember than ".info" 
Kung may kapareho kang website address pero ".com" yung extension nya, baka mapunta pa dun yung client mo kasi nakalimutan na ".info" pala yung sa website mo. 

To sum it up, use .com because its easier to remember, and though web marketing may not be your concern for now .. at least nka-prepare na yung website.  Half siguro ng target market mo are Filipinos working abroad or foreigner investors sa Pinas.  Hindi din lahat ng pinoy use local search engine (Google/Yahoo.ph) as their default site.

Mga sis, pa-help naman po. This is my first time to buy my own domain and hosting. I don't know where to go. I prefer service from the Philippines lang.

I was about to pay philhosting.net na kanina online, buti na lang nakita ko yung mga negative reviews.

I have ManilaHost.net and NokiaHost.net as my second options. Please help. Thanks.

^Sis, domainphil ako.  P800/yr.  Ok naman, thru bank deposit ako nagbayad, then tumawag lang ako dun sa landline sa site nila.  After few days ok na yung site ko.
