yung bagels kaya sa grocery ok? nakikita ko sa Rustan's usually, mga 5 pcs. per pack tapos cinnamon-raisin ata flavor. forgot the brand. meron din plain, sesame(?) and multigrain.

^I buy the Village Gourmet brand of bagels - they're good. There's another common brand called McRaf but I'm not keen on trying because I had bought their pesto rolls and it wasn't good.

^Village Gourmet yung ganoong packaging sis.

Check mo lang sa packaging kung kailangan i-refrigerate kasi twice na nag-mold yung nabili namin from Village Gourmet (not bagel) na 3-4 days pa yung expiry date pero the following day that we bought it, andami ng molds. hindi kasi namin na-ref. pinalitan naman sa SM.

^Village Gourmet's seasoned breadsticks are also prone to this problem.

too bad alexandre bakeshop (inside rustan's supermarket, glorietta/rockwell) is closing down. been buying their rye bread & walnut. "healthy" breads of s & r/le petit artisan are high in sodium. sinong nakatry sa mga whole wheat/dark rye breads ng circles, shang makati?

^ just sharing!! STARBUCKS' Fruit & Nut Toast :) I

My mom bought Walnut & Raisin Loaf from Le Petit Artisan this evening.. P140 (buy 1 take 1 from 8pm onwards) since it's almost closing hour. I haven't tried it but it looks kinda dry & matigas. Well hope it'll not be disappointing. Parang nawala excitement to try it eh when I saw the bread :-\

not consistent ang quality ng le petit artisan. 1 time nakabili cousin ko ng bread nila na super alat. and it was supposed to be low sodium na bread.
favorite ko din ang asado bread in salazar bakery (ongpin). maraming laman na pork and lean pa. may malalaki na parang siopao size  pero mas ok kainin ang dinner rolls

^ i love Salazar's Bakery too :) I've tried palang the choco-nut bread & the rose bun with ube. Next ko na dapat mga svaory meat pies nila! :)

Disappointing yung Walnut & Raisin loaf na binili ni mom last night sa Le Petit Artisan. I prepared a sandwich as my baon today-- ang dry nung loaf and parang ang tigas ??? I'll judge the taste later, pero the bread itself, di nakaka-entice kainin.  ::)

^ tried na the Walnut & Raisin loaf from Le Petit Artisan. Di ko type! Ang tigas and dry nung bread. Bland pa ng lasa... mas masarap pa Gardenia e! Di na ko uulit dun. Anyway, nagpabili nalang ako ng Gardenia California Raisin Loaf sa grocery, haha!! Tomorrow, fruit & Nut loaf ulit from Starbucks... addict?! Haha! :D :D

From Dessert Solutions:

Buttercream loaf - my mom really liked it
Raisin loaf- sarap with butter but perfectly good on its own

I really like the softness and home-made quality of the breads.  It makes me look forward to doctors' check-ups at Medical City. :)
